Unless the 7 series comes soon, this next difficulty bump is pretty much going to make it impossible to break even on electricity.

I wouldn't have to pool hop if the pools would stay up for more than a day at a time.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone know of a way to convert PayPal USD to BTC? on: June 13, 2011, 05:26:31 AM
There are groups that turn paypal in to Liberty Reserve, which can then be turned into Mt. Gox, for purchasing BTC.

Or just look around for someone selling BTC, someone's sure to accept paypal.

That's all good, but to consider it currency isn't popular around these parts. It's a digital good, used for bartering in the online multinational community aware of it.

Two workarounds:

1) Patience:  Wait a long time, possibly several hours.

2) Try the 0.3.23 release candidate, which attempts to address this problem.

The network has been flooded with new users, many of whom do not support incoming connections.  This causes a problem with the P2P code in versions <= 0.3.22.

That did it, great, thanks!

You can mine with it, but your best bet might be to sell it and buy a 5830.

I waited about half an hour and it remained at 0 connections. I'm also not behind a firewall/NAT that causes trouble on other similar web applications.
