Available for a few new projects again!
3  Economy / Services / Re: [0.5 BTC Bounty!] Design PrimeDice's new signature advertising ad! on: April 18, 2014, 01:40:19 PM
The biggest winner so far was PrimeDice. A free advert and 2000+ views with a lot of people that looked into PD when they designed their signatures. I'm sure there's more than one designer here who ended up signing up on the website and try gambling...

Hope the contest gets resolved soon. It was very calm in the last days - no new designs were submitted. Definitley one of the biggest/most active contests on here that I ever saw. Smiley

4  Economy / Services / Re: [0.5 BTC Bounty!] Design PrimeDice's new signature advertising ad! on: April 12, 2014, 01:57:13 AM
Thanks for the heads-up. If I have access to a mac, may be I can improve the code.
But this works on an iPad:

(Can anyone on a mac verify the above "PD" is not distorted?)

Don't think the member & full member signatures work out. Members can't use [font*][/font*] - and even if: It still looks different from browser to browser. Here's how it would look on Android:

You can use other fonts - that's not a big problem. But as soon as you introduce more special ascii symbols it get's messy.

5  Economy / Services / Re: [0.5 BTC Bounty!] Design PrimeDice's new signature advertising ad! on: April 10, 2014, 11:14:07 PM

- Double line "PD" for member/full member to compensate for small font size

The "PD" sadly gets all screwed up on macs:

But yes ... if we could ignore that OS we'd have a lot more options. Also font wise. Smiley

Here, I donate my ascii tree from my old tree signature to the contest. Feel free to use it Cheesy:

Thanks - he knows the rules. These are the prime signatures that work for Senior Members and above. It's funny that you didn't say that about anyone else's designs that mostly work for hero members only? Guess I see what you did there.

Full Members can't use the "size" option, so they get slimmed down version. But there's no need to show a design for Jr. Members & Members (See my bland member signature)...

7  Economy / Services / Re: LOGO REQUIRED - 0.05 BTC on: March 04, 2014, 10:58:00 PM
Ah, well. There are sadly many designers here that do it for 30$. Or even offer to do it for half that. Grin

8  Economy / Services / Re: [WANTED] BitCoinTalk HTML Ad Design on: March 03, 2014, 06:13:19 PM
is this ok? (it is in the second slot down)

it is basic but i can change it according to what you want.

It looks fine, but even though I'm not your client I can tell you that it's not okay. Just read the brief - he describes everything very well. Wonder why that is so hard for some?

Sure, signatures design is only recommended for Hero & Senior Members.

I meant I'm available for anything else. Regular graphic design without BB-Code.  Wink

Haha, can't believe this is a thing.

Think that deserves an bump, even after 120 days.

This guy who designed it is very active here and already tried to promote the calendar a few times.

I like the change. I'm amazed that the forum gives the option to have different signature categories. That's something that seems so trivial. Can't believe that's actually a standard feature.

Report those that you feel are spamming to the necessary authorities on the website, whether that be the moderator of that particular board, the advertisement owner (if they are advertising), or even have a word with the user directly.

Thanks, that was very useful. Just made my first three reports. But does it help? I always thought nobody ever checks those reports anyway, so I never bothered. The whole forum seems completely unmoderated - this is very especially evident when going to the speculation section.

I also don't really like that my eMail address is shown to the moderator that reads the report. Don't get why that is needed.

Ah, interesting changes. Cheesy Not sure if that improves the situation a lot, because I'm usually pretty good at skipping signatures anyway.

But if someone is annoyed because of adverts it won't really be less annoying. People that hate them turn them off. People that are interested in unpaid signatures and are usually reading them will still see/read all the adverts.

The main problem for me are the many spammers that make pointless comments everywhere just to get their post-count up. Don't think that will improve much. It's not only Newbies that spam.

Once the clock hits 600 UTC, we'll be closing this thread and taking few hours to discuss which ones will head to the community poll

Hi, don't want to spoil your plans or anything, but the "community poll" bit worries me a bit about this otherwise nice contest. What exactly do you have in mind?

The last contests on this forum that ended with polls were a complete desaster, because online polls can be easily manipulated (especially the forum polls). The last time people created just hundrends of new accounts to vote. Someone even wrote a script to create many accounts and vote automatically. It also doesn't really help to ask the 'community', because the big majority of people who follow this contest are participants that will just try to make their own design win.

If you want a fair vote and so the best logo for your website I recommend you to come up with another solution. I think you maybe could pick a small jury of people that don't participate and let them grade the top 3 - if you really don't want to decide alone.

I'm not even participating, but I thought I mention it, because I don't like to see those things end in drama. Smiley Smiley
17  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FREE 0.01 BTC to 1 in 100 on: February 22, 2014, 03:44:02 PM
Yeah, sounds good. I participate as well.
18  Economy / Services / Re: Skilled Designer (Fair prices, Fast, NO spec, Available now!) on: February 16, 2014, 11:00:14 PM
Actually only sold a couple on here. So this is a good opportunity. Thanks a lot hilariousandco. That was nice.

I just send him a message. Hope he cancels the contest and just hires me as this doesn't seem to work out for him so far. I'd do it right away, but now it's almost 3 am here. I have to get up early, go to a printer and get a design pack ready that'll send to a designer/friend in Tokyo.

Edit: So far he didn't reply or post again on the forums. Will see if he does tomorrow. It's the weekend now after all.

For anyone who never saw my bbcode signatures. Here they are:

Man, if this isn't the most awesome name for any kind of business then I don't know what is!

Also could work well for a Boxing Team/Hall or a something that I once did under the influence and was followed up by a involuntary visit to the hospital.

Totally would want a flyer for myself, from you. But as am a designer I should maybe try to capture the awesomeness myself.
