1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: YubiKey NEO with MtGox on: September 21, 2013, 07:58:10 AM
not sure if you figured it out yet but I seen this post on google so I'm going to just put up some quick info..

You may want to check out the YubiOATH app

It's similar to Google Authentication, using the same concepts, but instead of just leaving your secret code on your smartphone stored in the app which is visible by anyone who opens the app, instead, with YubiOATH you have an app that displays blank list until a Yubikey is swiped and then it's credentials generate the one time passwords and are listed.  It's secure now! With MTGOX, not everyone does this, they allow you to have multiple OTP codes so that you can use them in different areas. For example, use only the Yubikey OTP for withdrawals but have both your Yubikey OTP and Google App OTP for logging in. The NEO still functions as a normal Yubikey with my Lastpass app too! the YubiOATH app is a nice bonus..

some links that helped me:

YubiKey NEO and OpenPGP -  http://www.yubico.com/2012/12/yubikey-neo-openpgp/
---comes installed already, just have to change the mode of your Yubikey.. check out the article!

Board index » Yubikey » Yubikey NEO  -    http://forum.yubico.com/viewforum.php?f=26
--not much as of yet but I went up and down the the NEO threads.. Read everything.  It's a great resource...

after a better understand; its time to move on to installing of ykneo-oath onto your USB smartcard (yubikey).  This is required for the Yubi-OATH app.
Some created a HOWTO:
http://forum.yubico.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1159       -    [HOW-TO] - Install Applet on the NEO

my suggestion, just download GPShell and Library files to C:\somethingeasy\  and download the two files required, .CAB and GPinstall.txt file to C:\ so when you navigate with command prompt it's alot easier..

overall process was pretty easy, but I think it *WARNING* overwrites OpenPGP on the smartcard.. have to look more into this.. but just wanted to give a *WARNING*

Hope this update helps others! Smiley   God Bless

4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5850 driver question.. on: January 23, 2012, 12:59:32 AM
hey guys.. i've had this problem for a longgg time.. I still haven't found a fix but windows would take forever to load if it wasn't the  8782 driver.. what i did was installed deepfreeze. froze the pc with the 8782 driver installed. Then i could install newer drivers and if the computer reboot or i had to restart it, it would load up with the frozen 8782 drivers instead of whatever i updated to for miner to work.. hope this helps..

please if anyone knows the fix for this problem, please share.. I've had this for monthss now... deepfreeze helped alot!

7  Economy / Marketplace / Re: CRAZY 8! 2x DOUBLE YOUR BTC IN 8 MINUTES! on: June 24, 2011, 10:22:48 PM
this is just wrong... if u sent money, use your brain next time...

8X means that alottt of people are going to have to bet inorder to pay even the 1st person.. lol this isn't a game. its a scam.

ex: 0.25 first bet... u gotta wait till someone deposits 2 BTC to payout first bet.. then the second bid is left with a NEGATIVE pool balance that is 7x the first bid.. making this not a very successful 'game'...  even the first person prob won't make money from this with even .25 BTC!!  its too much this 'crazy 8'   ... 1.5x works okay if your first few, 1.2 works even better.. but above 2x is wayy too much.. probably the creator will deposit first to try anyway, basically ending the game before it starts... .remember people,   EVERYONES TRYING TO MAKE A DOLLAR, n they don't care how.. so BEWARE!!!

thanks guys.. i don't know why but for some reason i can't get it to work. but thanks for the help..

No matter what driver I install.. if its not 8.782, when windows loads its LAGGY.. i mean i wait 10 mins to load windows.. i can't do it.. i've learned to live with starting in safe mode.. removing drivers.. reinstalling to 8.782.. rebooting and then reinstalling driver ;\ big pain but i tried it all.. even fresh windows install ..

thanks anyway.. if anyone does have the same problem n found a solution please share

Suggestion for those having problems mining with GUIMiner..

GIUMiner has a tab called Console, It shows you the run commands it uses..
So, What I do when I hit Start and  FOR SOME REASON ITS NOT WORKING  and i don't know why.. What I like to do is copy the run command.. go into cmd and run it that way.. then you have a DOS window that will show u everything thats going on.. it's helped me solve the stupid problems! like a simple flag or typo..

If you go to View>Show Console on GUIMiner

then when u hit start..
Check the Console windows and copy everything after Run Command:
should be like    C:\where\your\miner\is\phoenix.exe -u blahblhahblahb

copy this.. open cmd.exe, and right click, select Paste.. hit enter and it should run phoenix in thee cmd window..

you should now see whats actually going on with phoenix..

side note: you could just paste the run command in Start>Run but if there is a problem starting the miner the DOS window will pop-up and close immediately.. so open cmd.exe first so that when the program closes it return you to C: prompt with dos window still open so u can read errors..

hope this help troubleshooting GUIMiner..

also, i recommend phoenix riser over GUIMiner ANYDAY!

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=10264.0     -- > now known as AOCLBF!!
^^ has everything u need.. way better than GUIminer.. all the options, plus monitor temps with SICK displays.. check it out!!
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=10264.0

By the way, careful of FAKE GUIMiner out there people (steals btc and namecoin wallet.dat).. viruses are everywhere.. DOWNLOAD FROM TRUSTED SOURCES!!

@Vam

Really? that many horses for that little horsepower? lol, do you really have 1 card in each PC mining.... i mean, waste of power but definitely keeps those card temperatures nice and low.. so basically, if you ain't paying that electric, then good4u, otherwise.. might wanna rethinking your business concept lol

btw..
1ghash -->WAS making over 1.2btc.. now estimates are low   .74/day  :\

17  Bitcoin / Mining support / 5850 driver question.. on: June 13, 2011, 05:09:36 PM
hey guys.. I got a ASUS 5850 installed... The only driver version that windows 7 loads correctly with is version 8782(cat 10.7).. then if i try to use phoenix i get this error:

 *** CAL version mismatch:
This OpenCL build requires version 1.4.467, version 1.4.255 installed. Aborting..

so i installed the new driver 8.500(comes in cat11.2 and up) then phoenix works.. but if i restart my computer the driver makes windows fail to load.. anyone else having this problem? so everytime i restart i have to go to safe mode roll back to 8.782 restart.. then install the driver when windows loads then mine..  just a big pain, wondering if anyone else had this problem?
