I've searched the forum, but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to allow the miner to be monitored externally? Something like the -api-allow switch? If so, where and how is it done?
I would recommend searching using https://ninjastic.space/. In this case: https://ninjastic.space/search?content=API&topic_id=5340015The first hit is your post and the second is one by jstefanop that explains how to access the 'API'. Thank you. I was hoping for something a little more straightforward so I could use awesomeminer to monitor the FutureBit as well as my other rigs for one consolidated view. Maybe in a future release...

Finally tried out some of the other modes on the Apollos in the last few days. Had a very delightful and surprising discovery. In Eco mode.... I was getting 2 th/s @ 76w per th/s in Balanced mode.. I get 2.5 th/s @ 64w per th/s So, not sure why but balanced mode actually offers better wat per wat performance for me. Also, it was a more substantial hashrate increase than I expected too, with 25% performance gains over eco. So, if your out there just chillin on ECO with your miners, I recommend trying out the other settings and seeing what you get. Thanks for the suggestion. Mine also similar results but I also noticed less errors. My second miner was showing more errors than the first miner. But changed to balanced and they now about the same. Do the stock PSUs work with Turbo mode? What has everyone experience been?

Is there an API available so that we can monitor the miner from another system? Awesome Miner, HiveOS, etc. I like to see all my miners in one location.
Raw json data is available in the API, I believe one of them already added Apollo LTC support, so should be pretty easy for them to add BTC version. They usually add them if they get enough requests. Not sure I understand. Is there an API? Who is adding what to what?

I received my first R606 and it was DOA. The device could be seen, but no chips could be found. I called the vendor and they sent another one which is working great. They didn't want the old one back, but I just can't get my head wrapped around just tossing it. Is there someplace I can send it for repairs?

I guess what I'm saying is I want my target to be as high as possible. Is there a harm to setting the frequency and power to it's highest setting and then backing down? I don't want to burn anything out. What is the highest frequency? If I increase the power all the way and just let it autotune, will that do it? Sorry to be so dense.

Is there a reason that I should just start at the highest power and frequency and then just back up from there? I'm using a Bitmain power supply from my old L3 so that should have plenty of power.

I got my new R606, plugged it into my new ubuntu install on my laptop, and WHAM, running at 781GB with just the defaults.
Next question: I believe after reading the posts that the current version of cgminer autotunes. Does that mean I just need to increase the vCore using the buttons on the R606 to increase the rate? Or do I need to use the settings for cgminer to set the frequency? Or both?

I've installed ubuntu on an old laptop. It was, as expected, a piece of cake, following the directions on page 1. I didn't do anything else after building cgminer.
However, I get exactly the same results. Sounds like a bad device. I assume there isn't any additional tools I can use to see if it's something else.

Yeah, I've read the posts that Win10 sucks. But I've also seen users with success. So...I was hoping...Building a ubuntu Linux machine is more than I wanted to bite off but if I was so inclined, does one of the beginning posts have the complete steps to follow? Assume I know nothing about Linux (although I have ancient experience in Unix).
To answer some of your questions anyway:
1. I tried both using my current Power Supply which has ample bandwidth, and a left over Bitmain power supply from my L3. 2. Will try - Just tried. No luck 3. Will try - Just tried. No luck 4. I've tried both solo.ckpool and pool.ckpool 5. Will try - Just tried. No luck
I guess I'm just surprised that ANY of these settings would prevent cgminer from seeing any chips.

I've looked through as many of the posts as I can, and haven't really found the information I need. Sorry if this is redundant.
I just received my first R606. I have a Windows 10 machine, and went through the steps to plug it in, including updating the drivers. When I start cgminer, it says it's resetting the device over and over and then fails saying that it didn't find any chips. I've tried on two different machines to ensure that it wasn't just a single machine.
Is it a bad unit? Is there anything else I can do to check before I ask for a replacement?
Thank you.

I just installed version 5.2, and now everytime it starts up, it crashes. No warning. Just "goes away". Help!
Please upgrade to version 5.2.1. There was a specific scenario related to the profit switcher (mainly the one used for ASIC miners) in the recent 5.2 update, that could cause this issue. Sorry for any inconvenince. You can also upgrade by downloading and running the latest installer from the web site: http://www.awesomeminer.com/download.aspxWorks. Thank you!
