Closer to home, the South China Morning Post reported that Hong Kong was set to launch an ATM for the virtual currency by the end of last month.

The launch in Hong Kong didn't happen, right?

Correct, didnt happen yet. This might actually turn out to be the first ATM in Asia!

5  Other / Beginners & Help / I just gave away 15*5mBTC on: January 17, 2014, 03:21:53 PM
Hi, I just gave away 15*5mBTC to friends and family. I think a great way to have people who are interested to get to know Bitcoin. I used the Blockchain.info wallet where you can send to an email address. What do you think?
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Hash Rate going to 2bn GH/s! on: January 17, 2014, 02:41:40 PM
Lets calculate the hash rate at the marginal rate of electricity;

 0.10    $/kWatthour
 800.00    Bitcoin price
 150.00    Bitcoins per hour (using 25 per 10 mins target)
 120,000.00    $ Payout per hour
 1,200,000,000.00    Watt (price times payout)
 0.70    Watts/GH/s (here I used the Neptune 20nm miner)
 1,714,285,714    Giga Hash/s (Watt/0.7)

This is where I think we will eventually end up should the price stay at this level.
