1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.5 on: August 13, 2018, 03:58:06 PM
would BTZ be supported in this new version? Anyone mining it? (Bitcoin Private that is).  I'm focused on BTG at the moment.

UPDATE: 1080ti - just received this card, getting 70-71 sol/s of 144,5 with slight overclock 97/282 and 95% PL.  FUN FUN FUN!

This is great bminer, THANK YOU!  I may decide to mine some BTM again, was doing so for a while - as a person in the US, do we still not have an exchange that would support trading BTM or how are people supposed to 'cash out' if/when they so choose?  Any ideas guys?  I know this is somewhat off-topic, but would appreciate the exchange advice that might make mining BTM more attractiive to me.

Dumb question on my part likely - but how did you get Power usage stats to display there in your log output?  I never have seen that, and could DEFINITELY use that to my advantage.  Thanks for sharing, great stats thanks to v0.5...nice indeed!  Cheers.

I'm seeing 15-20% increases in 144,5 hash rates with my farm of 1060's.  Moving on to the bigger metal now.

1070's - now getting average of 42 sol/s with v0.5 and an OC like this: 75% PL, +122 Core, +255 Mem

1080's - now getting average of 47-48 sol/s with v0.5 and OC like this: 70% PL, +97 Core, +401 Mem

For the 1080's, I'm seeing about a 16% gain over 0.4, with the same exact overclock and all, apples to apples, from the v0.4 days.  WOW!  Thank you sir!

UPDATE: 1080ti - just received this card, getting 70-71 sol/s with slight overclock 97/282 and 95% PL.  FUN FUN FUN!

FWIW, I've transitioned now to using the cuda 9 based EWBF code rather than the one marked 'cuda8', and my cards have never been happier - I'm also now running the latest Nvidia drivers version 398.36, so not sure which resolved my crashes really - but between the 2 changes, I am running now 24 hours without a crash (knock on wood).  YMMV and all that of course.  My environment is a mix of about 80% 1060's, 10% 1070's, and 10% 1080's.  With 1 lonely 980ti to keep the 'way back machine' gods happy.  Love that card, and you couldn't pry it outta my hands!

But I digress.  0.4 is pretty sweet, all good on this end for now.

Cuda is related to Nvidia drivers that you have. Older display drivers use cuda 7.5, 8,.. etc and recent drivers use 9+ (most recent driver use cuda 9.2). You can run miner for cuda 8 although you have cuda 9 (but not vice versa). What is best for you, you'll have to test. Sometimes versions for older cuda work better and faster than versions for newer cuda.

Interesting, thank you.  I think I should at least try using the miner for newer cuda, it seems that it would be more appropriate, at least in theory.  Thanks a ton, any other feedback welcome of course.

Sanity check needed here guys - I've been running 0.3 and now 0.4 with success but have always used the miner files labelled "...cuda8" - it occurs to me that maybe thats not the right, most efficient miner to use - I am running Win10 on all machines, latest patches, etc and using modern Nvidia GPU's like the 1080, 1070 with latest Nvidia driver.

Can ewbf or someone clarify and maybe update the first post to include a pointer on which file to use under which Windows circumstance.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: July 03, 2018, 08:14:48 PM

how many btm a day is that pulling in now?
Not mining it right now but a few days ago it was 17-19 BTM and then it came down to 12-14 BTM.
WTM says I should get 15 BTM now.

Such a swamped algo, any new exchanges trading mainnet tokens that USA citizens can use?

Why can't we use RightBTC in Australia?  I'm signed up, ready to trade (but have not yet).  Stock-piling BTM here.

when i switch to the 144_5 for btg right now as the fork just happened,
i noticed all my video cards ESP. my 1060 3gb's power lines are fluctuating REALLY bad. what is causing this?
even when i under clock my lines are no longer stable in afterburner. i have 17 rigs. all with different video cards... all also got 1060 3gb's mixed with 1080ti's.. any reason why my power lines look like shark teeth. i mean it fluctuates 10 % power loss up and down opposed to be for 2-3% on old algo.. i'll screen shot in a sec

Ummm, the fork has NOT happened, I show about 2 more hours and 12 more blocks to go.  But curious your 3GB 1060 results, as I have some as well.

Any chance you can make this a equihash 96/5 miner?

Thank you

Hi, thanks for the message, since equihash 144,5 is the new algorithm that several equihash coins will move to, we will add equihash 144,5 first.

Any chance you'll have the 144,5 support in the next 2 hours, as we await the BTG fork?  I suspect not, but HAVE to ask...my wallet made me do it :-) Still mining Bytom like mad here with 9.0.0, and stable as can be.  But I'd like to go back to Equihash, but use the new algo right at the fork.  Thank you for EVERYTHING you've done with this miner, it's pretty awesome.
