I think only newbies can have some doubts, but the rest of us stick around here because we are all still confident BTC is going to be fine.

Investing in anything includes a certain amount of risk, let alone investing in crypto. However, investing in BTC seems less risky than investing in altcoins. So, yes, I guess, you're right.

Panic sellers are commonplace after the first ATH, but as soon as Bitcoin goes over the moon next time, I guess the number of panic sellers will drop sharply and we might not be able to take advantage of their panic selling any more...

The topic is useful and is almost covers every important aspect, but I'd just like to put in my two cents worth here. There's one more useful tool, i.e. TOR browser. In some ways, it can help you protect yourself even better. Hope it's useful

Electrum sounds best to me. It has both desktop and mobile versions, but be careful when downloading a mobile version as I hear they have some scam apps on Google Play Store that might be stealing your crypto from you. So, I recommend using a link on their website.

I, for one, have a burning desire to come to the transparent and reliable future as soon as it might be possible, so I do my best to speed the process up. Becoming a little richer in the end would be a nice bonus, after all, wouldn't it?
