anyone know whats up with utc.pool.pm? The block stats have been stuck showing the same data for like 1.5 hours.
It's been over a week now, when is the official pool going to be open?
right after mtg ox resumes btc withdrawls I keed! I keed! HAHA, no, you're probably correct.
hmm, one pool controls over 50% of the network and all the others go down. What a coincidence
Is the difficulty/utc/day calculator broken? I am on utc.pool.pm and at my hashrate should be getting +50 coins per day. I got about 30 in 24hrs. I know there is no way to know exactly, with fluctuating difficulty but it should not be that far off.
Pools have been going down off and on, whats your khash? I've only been netting about 25 or so at 680khash 1.4Mh/s

still keeping an eye on things. Seems to have smoothed out somewhat and nice to see more pools.
Question though.
How long is the "invite only" pool going to have more than 50% of the network? They have had more than 50% for 20 hours about. It started at 80%!? I notice they have found more than double the blocks of any other pool.
I had just thought more than 50% to a single place wasn't great. I would not feel comfortable mining, yet, until hash rate is divided enough to be fair.
I think you are forgetting. This is a coin for the community... the community of devs, and stakeholders, and elite Follows typical human behaviour

yo hoo, bumface! you can dump all your coins!!! WOO HOO my selling goal is 10 dollar per UTC, and i can afford to wait I hope I can get paid ~35k to be completely disorganized and let an elite few solo-mine the shit out of a coin, then let others join in. Ok, that is my venting for the day. Peace
solo is still working if you have at least a few Mhps
Lol, yeah... if you among the elite with that power
please set expiry = 1, scan time = 1, and queue = 0 in cgminer to lower rejects.
Totally forgot about that... darnit
If you guys do not know how to solomine then you should not have waited till launch to try to figure it out. You could have experimented and figured out how to set it up on any other coin. I understand the frustrations but, SHEESH. It does suck that the pool is not open, we all would benefit from that, and there is not really an excuse, but hey, life ain't fair.

does this look right for the batch file ? ultracoinminer -o 127.0.0.1:44101 -u youruser -p yourpassword --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread-concurrency 28500 -I 20 -g 1 -w 512 --gpu-fan 92 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 947 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --temp-overheat 94 Please confirm, also where do I put my localip address it should be --scrypt and not --scrypt-jane. no it should be --scrypt-jane. Stop messin

all cgminer derivatives show up as trojan. there is good reason. research it.

So if we use a pool we don't even need to use the ultracoin miner? could we just use cgminer instead?
No, you need the UTC miner either way. Just depends on if you are mining from your wallet (solo) or pool

I don't get it, what do we use for rpcuser=youruser rpcpassword=yourpassword
I can't find the wallet anywhere so I don't have an address to put into username
in the ultracoin.conf, you simply make up a name and password say rpcuser=michaela_elise rpcpassword=x in solominer.bat you put ultracoinminer -o 127.0.0.1:44101 -u michaela_elise -p x --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread- concurrency 8192 --auto-gpu true --auto-fan true p.s. if anyone wants to use that scrypt, I will give you my ip to fill in above in place of the 127.0.0.1 do i need to replace 127.0.0.1 into my own ip address? or juts use 127.0.0.1? thanks ! No, 127.0.0.1 is your IP address, it is localhost. The way it works is that your wallet connect to the network and downloads blockchain data. Your miner is mining that data on your local machine. I believe this is similar to how pools work, they just have a fancy web interface to interact with. In my previous post, I was joking that someone could mine on my wallet, help me get some coins ya know So does your wallet have to be open when you're mining? Yes! If you are solo-mining.

The link to download the wallet is not active yet. It will be at launch. Does it matter what the password is or are we supposed to leave it blank? The password is the password you set for your wallet, when you establish it. Not the password you encrypt with. Jeeze, that would be a good way to loose all your coins, store your PW in plain text

Can anybody post how to mine them with digitalocean?
There are only 2 official pools as of right now. So no, you cannot mine on digitalocean, not yet at least.
