You should drop the rating for Bitmain as they are now just pushing out delivers to whenever.

For which batch?

I kind of think with the B8 on the S3 and L1 pushing out to December and then you go to the Bitmain site and see this:

We created a Legend in the bitcoin community: no pre-orders, on time shipping, even pre-shipping. We are earning more and more trust from our worldwide customers.

Would this make you think they don't give a rat rip anymore?

When you read this from the Bitmain site:

We created a Legend in the bitcoin community: no pre-orders, on time shipping, even pre-shipping. We are earning more and more trust from our worldwide customers.

All you can do is shake your head. Now there just laughing at us all the way to the bank.

Good things are never meant to last.  Undecided

Looks like that pre-order honey jar that everyone else has been getting their paws into has become too appealing for BitMain to resist.  B8 'pre-order' was enough of a stretch for me.  But this? Who are you guys?

Next thing you know Bitmain will be late to deliver, and selling us well-tested units.  I thought you guys were better than that  Undecided Undecided Undecided

Yep, when everybody out there is selling over priced units it's too much for Bitmain to resist. I almost think their is someone else running the company because they have done a complete 180 on us and now they don't give a rats rip about us. Just like BFL.

Nice.

Notice to other manufactures: Give us fair deal and in stock products; we will buy.  Cool Wink

Hi rhj12345,
The miners runing in Umisoo are all AntMiner S2 units, which were closed sales several months ago.
Now S3+ and L1 are open sales, in theory, our online miners' sales are not related to these S2s subscribed in hashnest.com.

BTW, S3+ is more likely to be shipped earlier than Sept 20th, we will do our best to do fast shipping as usual.

First thanks for the response at least you seem to still care. But WE are your customer base and we deserve better from you than "Hey buy an S3 and wait" or "Buy an L1 and wait for Santa maybe you will find one under the tree".

You used to be our go-to company that we could get our units in 3 days and we loved you for that. But now? Like William Wallace would say "Were not happy to take the scraps from Longshanks table!"

We deserve better, we want in stock products delivered in 3-5 days. Anything less is just BS!!  Cool
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: September 03, 2014, 12:16:08 PM
Looks like they are shipping all in stock to hashnest their new cloud mining operation.

No more in stock for us. Bitmain you guys did a great job for most of us at one time and I for one am really happy with my mining units (still waiting on B8), but now we are just the little guys and our money is used to fund your bank account so you can ship in stock out and build our units when you feel the need to do so. You remember us don't you?

Profit before your customer base, I would not count on too many per-orders if I were you. At least from this forum.  Cool

But what the heck a newbie is born everyday.  Grin Grin Grin

9  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Talk me into our out of mining :) on: September 02, 2014, 01:59:44 PM
If you purchased an S3 today and you had it ready to go, it would take 86 days to ROI when you include the power supply that you need to buy. When you factor in the electricity its even worse. Most of us who are still mining purchased when ROI was less than half that.

So you are a little late to the game. If you are smart about your money, you should just purchase BTC today and hold. Wait and see if the price goes up and keep reading the forum for advice on what to do with your Bitcoin. Most of the manufactures are going in the red if the price doesn't start to go up, or they come out with something like 0.20 per gh price on units. Right now your are seeing 0.76 to 0.63 per gh.

I have 30 machines from Bitmaintech and they all work great but I am making less than half of what I made 2 months ago. But my units are all paid off so I'm good.

Buy and hold, wait and see. READ the forum everyday!

Hope this helps.  Cool

What's the point of bitcoin exactly if everybody just held on to it?

I would not expect for everybody to hold onto Bitcoin. Mining farms cant do it because there is a cost to mining.

All the merchants are dumping into fiat so I am sure we need more people to buy and hold to bring up the price, but a base price is just a base. No reason why Bitcoin with a base price could not also climb to $2000 or $3000 on its own.

What we need are some great ways to get Bitcoin to be adopted by the masses!
11  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S3+ on: August 29, 2014, 12:19:27 AM
Hello Everybody,

i would like to know 2 things,

1. What is your general opinion about or expierience with the Antmier s3+?

2. How can i convert the power of 433-500 GH's in how many bitcoins this power is able to pruduce per hour
running?

Zhx

Assuming you want about a Bitcoin per hour, I think that sounds good to me. Lets do the math.

1200 TH will get you about 25 per day so a little more than 1 per hour. You only need to buy 2,649 S3's ASIC mining units from Bitmaintech.com.

No problem I am sure the bank will fork over the $781,455.00 you will need to make it all work. The power company will supply you with all the needed power for those units, about 8370 amps not to mention the cooling and building you will need to supply. Don't forget you need a power supply for each unit, or double up with bigger ones. Cost? About $166,877.00.

Nice salary if you can get it, about $12,890 per DAY!!!

Hey good luck newbie! Maybe you should do some reading first!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price PLUS $1000 - Would Bitcoin then see world wide acceptance? on: August 28, 2014, 02:34:59 PM
Exactly. It's not as easy as what you are suggesting, plus this kind of artificial price hike wouldnt be good for bitcoin. We need natural growth which will hopefully come along gradually with adoption.

It's that natural growth that worries me. Coindesk just had an article about a survey showing a large percentage of people in America would NOT invest in Bitcoin. So are we entering into a time where people do not want to own Bitcoin because of the price volatility? If the mining difficulty just rises and the price stays low or worse goes down then what? If a mining farm is spending more on the cost to run it, then most will shut down. That's not good for the Bitcoin eco system.

Maybe a national Bitcoin lotto (not the scam ones out there now) run by the same companies who run the lotto and power ball lotto's would be better. I just think the Bitcoin community better come up with a way to get people to buy and hold Bitcoin or it's all going to crash.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin price PLUS $1000 - Would Bitcoin then see world wide acceptance? on: August 28, 2014, 01:27:30 PM
Watching the price of Bitcoin stay at $500 is pretty sad especially when you run a Bitcoin farm. So here is a question I would ask.

If everybody in the Bitcoin community including merchants, speculators, investors, miners and forum members decided to add $1000 to the value of Bitcoin so a Bitcoin price today would be more like $1500 USD instead of $500. Would that really be a bad thing if everybody agreed it was the right thing to do?

Miners would then make money, the back bone of the system.

Adoption would be higher as a base price of $1000 is always guaranteed.

Mining manufactures could continue to create better ASIC machines.

The public would start to see Bitcoin as something of real value, and know each coin is worth at least a $1000.

Maybe this is just something added for the next 5 or 10 years. Just as a way to keep it going so Bitcoin can continue to show the world what a really great technology it really has become.

Bitcoin price PLUS $1000, would that work???  Cool

Maybe it just needed a bit of TLC and me stroking its internals made it happy!

Maybe we should all start getting a life! LOL  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Just in case anybody was interested, I sent an email to Bitmain about the S1 upgrade roll out and this was the response I got back today:

Hi Rob,
S1 upgrade solution will be released to the public soon Smiley

Best Regards

BITMAIN

No I don't know what exactly they mean by "soon" but with as many S1's I have, I hope sooner than later otherwise there all going to eBay.  Cool

19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: August 04, 2014, 11:40:22 AM
If I place an order now, would it be shipped on or shortly after the 7nd? Or is that batch already fully pre-ordered?

Go ahead an order what you need. If they were sold out it would say that on the product page. But like it says on the web site shipping is on or after Aug 7, I have 2 myself I am waiting on from this batch.

Hope this helps.  Cool
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 only $0.85/GHs 1.045w/GHs. In stock for international selling! on: July 29, 2014, 12:44:16 AM
Placed an "in stock" order Monday and I still see no tracking number in my account as of today Friday.

Is this normal??? Huh Huh Huh

I think yes because it is not an automatic process so it's possible back office is busy.
You can ask btcgarden on this forum and he can answer you quickly.

Yes I did get a response from them today indicating I will have a tracking number tomorrow. I should add here I am not impressed with the way they process orders and this is not to say anything bad about there units, based on the response here I will be very happy with my purchase.

But with that said if when I buy a unit from BTC Garden and I have to calculate what I owe to them and then not have that payment even acknowledged by even a single email is just UN-productive. Also I have to go back and send them proof of payment after I see it run through the blockchain. I don't want to compare them with some other company but Bitmain Tech seems to have this down and makes checkout much smoother.

I hope to see BTC Garden become successful as we all want more choice in picking our mining units, but I am just saying they need to improve check out.

Thank you for your suggestion. Sorry for the experience we brought you. We will try hard and do better in the future.

Got my tracking info as promised. Thank You.
