No more preorders for me, so I won't be purchasing this hardware. I refuse to take the risk on product development. This business model needs to die off on the consumer end and if you want it to go away do not participate in any more of these deals. I think b8 of the s3s was a test of tolerance to see if we would bite and fund this venture. Bitmain is better than this and I find it disheartening that they are following that crap model now.
+1 For me, the S3 was right on the edge. I was very close to not placing an order, but in the end took the risk, largely based on Bitmain's reputation. I have no intention of ordering an L1 under the current conditions. Bitmain is now pushing all of the risk onto its customers. The result is that Bitmain's reputation has gone down, and that will factor in my decision making process for future purchases. |

When you read this from the Bitmain site: We created a Legend in the bitcoin community: no pre-orders, on time shipping, even pre-shipping. We are earning more and more trust from our worldwide customers.All you can do is shake your head. Now there just laughing at us all the way to the bank. Good things are never meant to last.  |

I guess never trust what you read; this is a company and companies only care about making more money. But without us they are not a company. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. They may have been playing nice for awhile but the S2 and original S1 price were outrageous. Yes the push out for B8 S3 was just at the edge of us asking why? Like that much time helped it be what it should have been at B1. Makes you wonder what, if anything will happen to the S4.

I have little doubt BITMAIN will ship on time or at least if late not that late... They aren't BFL. I'll be buying 2 S3s now and make enough with them to buy a L1 come Nov - Dec when we have a better idea of how development is going as well as a better idea of what kind of profitability we are looking at. No need to tie my coins up this early especially since if I miss round one all that does is mean I pay less for the L1 and it ships a week later no big deal. |

Loving the low low low price of this. However that said the problem be is 3 months for shipping + import tax never brake even. Provide equipment now might be in with a chance. Would love to order however not risking 3 months waiting then oh sorry some delays and set back.

But yess you can say it preorder too Let's define a "Pre-Order"... For me it is something that will be shipped in MORE than a week...10 days ...2 weeks MAX... If they are shipped within 2 weeks...I'll called it "build to order"... Shipping from stock...within 24-48 hours ...1-2 days is the MOST I would tolerate... So...L1 is a typical "PRE-Order"...like KnC etc... Bye-bye BitMain Tech... "NO PRE-ORDERS...WE WILL CHANGE THAT MODEL..." ...blah-blah...  Yeah, right...Complete BS... If everyone were to hold off for a couple months before paying into the pre-order, they will get the message. Unfortunately, greed always gets the best of us fallible humans, and there will always be someone who wants to be first, second, third etc to own the latest piece of hardware.
I can wait.
