Can someone help a newb here please.  I sent 20mil zeitcoin to mintpal over 12hrs ago and still have 0 of 20 confirms. Im not sure how to use block explorer. I go here https://usecryptos.com/blockexplorer/ZEITAnd search for my transaction id 31f084ea99c220f0081baccc7dca5257f003df278efa522c1f83f307f4aae813 but get no results. All i get when i search is some page saying "our satellite server is upgrading its laser". I'm not even sure i'm searching the block chain right. I just search for my transaction id...correct? you are a novice, aren't you? WTF are you sending coin TO any market for? Your coin should STAY in your wallet, if you understand ANYTHING about what this coin stands for & maybe more importantly how it works  You should be BUYING not selling!!! One of our tech people will tell you how to find your coin soon, that's what they're giving up their time for, but DUDE... What makes you think for one frigging second that it's a profitable/sensible(/sane?) thing to do to try to sell right now? DON'T FEED THE WHALES Patience, my friend - this is a game of patience, even a game of eyeballs. All those who blink first, lose. Simple as. Maybe lose wrist-slittingly big  Only way to defeat whale is to wait until he gets too hungry to stay, and moves on to easier prey. Chill, get coin back, return to wallet, read more of thread, join forum, read forum, WATCH ZEITGEIST! Enjoy minting, mine other coin, buy Zeit below 10, chill again, help change world for better. Simples! Calm down , it's ok. Everyone is allowed to have a different perspective. I just bought 5 million dollar raffle tickets here in PA, and I think they have as much a chance at making money as this coin does.  But i'm not gonna preach to you and say Im right and you're wrong. (to each his own, its all a gamble) Anyway, iissue is solved.... I needed the extra couple BTC to buy another R9 290, so it worked out fine for me. Thanks for the pep talk though.  |

Just giving everyone an update:
Working on a wallet update. Taking a break for the night. Update will be done and binaries will be launched hopefully in the next 24 - 72 hours.
Adds 2 features, and changes 1.
New Feature: Unlock Wallet
-- Allows wallet to be unlocked for minting and transactions. Locks when wallet is closed.
New Feature: Mint Wallet
-- Allows wallet to be unlocked for minting only. No transactions will be able to be sent.
Changed Feature: Change Passphrase (Not sure if I will use it)
-- To change passphrase, the wallet must be in an unlocked (Unlock or Mint) state, and will still ask for passphrase. This makes it require the passphrase twice before being able to change your passphrase.
This post seemed to be pretty much unnoticed, so I'm bumping it. |

can someone help with wallet update install?
i followed the instructions now i cant even open the wallet. error reads:
"microsoft visual c++ runtime library. this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. please contact the applications support team for more information"
i still have the wallet.dat that i backed up so i hope the money isn't gone.
any help is appreciated...
If you followed the instructions exactly. Then you most likely just have an error in your zeitcoin.conf file you created. Try starting the wallet without the file, if it starts, then you know the zeitcoin.conf is where the problem is. Your zeitcoin.conf should contain. rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=44843 port=44845 gen=0 server=1 addnode=198.101.12.57 addnode=192.3.178.234 addnode=162.220.26.146 addnode=54.213.62.154 addnode=54.213.81.163 addnode=54.213.195.38 addnode=54.213.243.144 addnode=54.213.174.35 |

Hi all can we have some volunteers please to test the new zeit source code, we do not need your #rate for long just until we find 3-4 blocks so we can check the stats, please set your account to auto payout as the server will be closed after this happens, many thanks. http://109.107.37.250/MPOS/public/index.php?page=dashboard i can activate accounts manually to save you the trouble if required. I'm in. More help needed though. Thanx ziet in also 2 -3 more mh/s would be nice peoples I mean I would offer to help? but not sure exactly whats expected? not very techy ifs thats an issue? Just need a few miners we have the new zeit source code installed on test pool server & need to find a few blocks to make sure everything works ok, so new pools can use or update, thats it. Ok, something just went weird on us....LOL edit: spoke too soon, looks ok now. Sorry about that, i should know better than to try and edit my account on one of the pc's im mining on, due to the lag. another account unlocked manually mine away. Wife just got home, its our day off so i'm going out for dinner and drinks. If it becomes more drinks than dinner and your test ends and you shutdown the pool while my worker is still running...thats ok I'll fix it when i get home. GL on the testing. |

wallet for windows works? or I have to do all this IMPORTANT UPDATE: BACKUP YOUR wallet.dat FILE LOCATED IN YOUR C:/User//AppData/Roaming/zeitcoin DIRECTORY
- AFTER YOU HAVE MADE A COPY OF wallet.dat, DELETE THE ENTIRE DIRECTORY THAT CONATINED YOUR wallet.dat FILE
- RESTART ZEITCOIN, AND PROCEED TO COPY YOUR wallet.dat FILE BACK TO YOUR C:/User//AppData/Roaming/zeitcoin DIRECTORY. - RESTART ZEITCOIN Yes you have to do all that or the new Zeitcoin-qt.exe will give you an error. Only takes a minute to do, just be sure to backup your wallet.dat as it says. |

hi Zeit miners... i see the mac wallet is working now so it is currently syncing. not sure how to claim my 50k zeit for doing the fb like and twitter follow... think i was one of the early ones number 200+ i think my user name on twitter is @pcandmining and facebook is pcandmining let me know if there is somewhere else i need to post this.... thanks  helps if i add the wallet address.... And be aware that Giveaway rewards are on hold for now until they get caught up with other stuff. |

Ok thanks guys, i figured it out. Apparently the conf file had to be named zeit.conf, i had it named test.conf. Its working now. But as someone just asked yea, what is "No suitable long-poll found for http://localhost:55555" Is what it says while its running? PS: Where is the main zeitcoin site where i can find that new wallet? could be your cgminer version. I can tell you the No suitable long-poll found is normal when solo mining, so you're good to go. It has something to do with pools and isnt used when solo mining.... but its been so long since I looked up the error that I cannot remember exactly what it means, so you'll have to use some google-fu if you want more info on it. edit: Ahhhh.... here is what google turned up. Longpolling is a Feature of pools, which will give Information to the miners when a new block is found. And it is usually faster than the built in detection of the Client. |

Any of you guys with big rigs willing to sell a million or so coins to a small time miner PM me with $, I'm running a single 6850 at about 242Kh/s and it's taken almost 3 days to accumulate 100k coins, plus the 50k for twitter/FB (thanks dev by the way!)... will be much appreciated.

Giveaways have been put on hold for 24 hours to focus on new versions of all wallets windows qt should be out soon, source will also be updated. Mac will follow that

YAY! beggers i mean winners u'll have to wait! we need working wallets! pools are filling up with coin here Come on man, it's unfair to refer to the giveaway winners as "beggars." Some of us are still patiently waiting our rewards for ADVERTISING this coin. Doesn't make us beggars as we provided a service. I do agree that people just need to be patient and let the devs work out the issues with the wallets first though and leave them alone about it. The devs will send out the rewards when they can. Seconded. I'll gladly wait assuming that I got a notice of delay. But there wasn't even so much as a "we've added your address to the list" or anything like that. =/ If they followed you back on twitter, and you PM'ed them your wallet address on twitter, then i'm sure you have nothing to worry about. |

I'm sure once we get closer to minting, there will be plenty of discussion on here of what is the safest way to unlock for minting. There are a lot of smart members here, so Im hoping someone writes us a batch file/config or something for minting, so we can keep our wallets safe at all times. (hint...hint.. ) |

No way I know of yet to remove it permanently. You can remove it temporarily by typing this in the console. type walletpassphrase "password" 999999999 true Where 999999999 = the number of seconds to unlock for minting. thanks! ill test it do you guys know how to remove the passphrase on the wallet?
Simply dump private key and import to new wallet. thanks ill do this if the above post doesnt work.  Just for clarification.. walletpassphrase = the actual word walletpassphrase exactly as its typed here. "password" = your personal wallet password. And the wallet will "re-lock" if its shutdown and restarted regardless of the time you set. |

100 MILLION GIVEAWAY
Your probably thinking "great" who gives a shit what's in it for me? I know we all have our own reasons however we aim to please you as well. So to create a great buzz about ZEITCOIN we will be having a huuuge giveaway! The first 2000 people who follow us on twiiter and like our facebook page will receive 50,000 ZEIT once they receive the wallet and don't worry we will have a google doc showing the people who will be rewarded. Keep in mind we are a small team so your giveaway will most likely be day three of launch. We also will have 2 people chosen at random to receive 100,000 ZEIT each. giveaway is passed 2000
How does this figure? Both the Facebook page and your Twitter account have less than 2000 on each. If you are doing the giveaway to people who follow on Twitter AND like the Facebook page (as stated in your post), it should still be on. Now, if you meant follow on Twitter OR like the Facebook page, then so be it, but based on what you wrote, you should have been doing the giveaway only to those who did both, not either/or. Just sayin'. 2000 * 50,000 is 100mil (not 2000 each but 2000 total) Right..... 2000 people who like the Facebook page AND follow on Twitter * 50,000 = 100mil Since both the Facebook and Twitter currently have less than 2000 on either one, clearly there are less than 2000 who did both, as would be implied by "The first 2000 people who follow us on twiiter and like our facebook page...", and the giveaway should still be on (to people who did both, not either/or) Just pointing out some non-clarity in the original post. It was that way requiring both at the start. But I guess there were too many people that weren't on both twitter and FB, so they started excepting either one.
