Help me get rid of some of those pre-mined development blocks. I'm giving two blocks worth (5940 coins) to the first 25 people who post their Lycancoin wallet addresses. That will eat up 50 blocks right there. Only one award per user profile per wallet.

That's 5 of 25 (someone posted their Zombiecoin wallet in the Lycancoin thread-counted it though)

Did you add the nodes to the vampirecoin.conf file? There's a readme in each of the downloads which walks you through installation.

Assuming you have a Windows client, you need to copy the vampirecoin.conf file from the download to your roaming/vampirecoin folder.

Just type %appdata% in the run command box and it will take you to the roaming folder.

Make sure you vampire.conf file has the following nodes:

addnode=107.170.247.9
addnode=69.90.132.183
addnode=69.172.229.205
addnode=76.74.219.185

One of the nodes is hard coded in all of the clients but it doesn't sync as quick as addnode.

A little less than an hour to go. Getting everything ready on my end.

Did you place the zombiecoin.conf in your /roaming/zombiecoin folder?

If not, go ahead and do that or edit your /roaming/zombiecoin/zombiecoin.conf file and add the following nodes:

162.243.113.175
192.241.156.162
64.34.219.14
69.172.229.153

I mined somewhere between 170sh and 270sh depending on the coin. It was necessary to test the transactions; testnet isn't that reliable for release.

If I kept those coins, they'd have to increase in value to 3 cents each just to cover the basic development costs; not to mention the ongoing monthly cost.

My plan was to give them back out.

Just like with Vampirecoin, I'll give two blocks worth (204 coins) to the first 25 people who post their Zombiecoin wallet addresses. That will eat up 50 blocks right there.

I'll have to send them later tonight after Lycancoin launches and I have some breathing time.

As for the high difficulty, I don't know what else to do. There's just a lot of hashing power out there that gets directed to these coins at launch.

What's your error? I just checked and it works on clean windows 7 & 8 machines.

I have some coins from the original blocks I mined to test everything out. I had thought about giving them out as bounties but I can give some out here.

I can't get a hold of the pool operator so I've released the files and source code. My fault - flame on!

It's 11:05 PST, still about 55 minutes to go.

I took down the nodes temporarily but they'll be back up at 12:00 PST.

All the files are completed and packaged - ready for distribution/upload.

Update - I've updated the installation instructions on the website for folks running a Mac to include how to install the necessary dependencies required to run the client.
 
If this is your first go around with running Bitcoin, Litecoin or any altcoin on a Mac then I'd recommend you try pre-loading the dependencies now.
