Update - I've updated the installation instructions on the website for folks running a Mac to include how to install the necessary dependencies required to run the client.

If this is your first go around with running Bitcoin, Litecoin or any altcoin on a Mac then I'd recommend you try pre-loading the dependencies now.
Please let me know if there's any errors or problems following the tutorial.
Thanks!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

can you add a countdown please as I am in the UK and too lazy to work out time diffrence.

Every counter I add get's removed when I save the OP. I think Bitcointalk may be blocking them...

All the files are completed and packaged - ready for distribution/upload.

I've updated the OP with links to the clients and source code.

I'll upload the clients to the website at 12:00 pm PST tomorrow. I'll also make the github.com repository public at the same time so you can download the source code if you like.

The nodes are all configured and running - ready to get to work.

If you're running a pool, please let me know what other information you'll need beyond the daemon.

Thanks to everyone interested in seeing this project launch successfully!

It's 11:05 PST, still about 55 minutes to go.

I took down the nodes temporarily but they'll be back up at 12:00 PST.

One of the pools started an hour early.

I can't get a hold of the pool operator so I've released the files and source code. My fault - flame on!

Yes, flame on - if you're a troll.

If you're a normal person, set your miners to mine and get digging!  Grin http://vmp.majorminers.com/

These one has low difficulty, so blocks are being found quickly. Get moving!

Hi. I'm the pool operator that started early. I made a mistake because of PST. I'm in EST and I was off by one hour.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
