I will be visiting Thailand shorty. Can anybody tell me how I can spent bitcoins lets say in a normal restaurant. From what I see the current transaction times is in the magnitude of minutes. So I simply get the transaction going from my smartphone and wait for the people at the restaurant to confirm?!

I frequently buy and trade alts. But at the moment, all my coins are worth less compared to if had sticked to just buying bitcoin. Of course this has something todo with the recent high of BTC. The main problem I have with alts right now is the fact, that even when BTC dips alts are not going strong.

I completely agree. At the moment, using credit cards or Paypal to directly sell bitcoins to anyone seems not a very good idea.
I would have a look at a service like western union. They act as some kind of man-in-the-middle for these kind of deals.

You should always use temporal wallets for trading. Never import your main wallet private key! Or you can say bye to your money.
I agree. Of course you need to pay a little bit more for the gas but I think this is worth it. The security comes first.

I think what is heaviliy underated at the moment is the fact that there are a lot of different Airdrops using ERC20. For transaction of these tokens, you need etherium which increases the demand.

There is heavy flood of airdrops right now. After the EBTC moonshot everybody is trying to establish eXXX or wXXX currencies by airdropping them. The biggest airdrop twitter page for crypto airdrops already distanced themselves from those airdrops: https://twitter.com/CryptoAirdrops/status/916979770486939648I think this is the only right choice. Everybody should think about if these project which generate value out of nowhere are good for the whole crypto community.

Hi, I am new to this and have a fundamental question: Why do ICOs ask us to send ETH using myetherwallet? Why can't I send them directly from kraken.com? Thanks in advance
Because it is ERC20 token ICO and ERC20 tokens are using ethereum. You don't need MEW, what you need is your ether address with private keys. Don't use ether address from exchange because you won't receive tokens to it. This is a really important fact. I have seen many crypto newcomers (including me a while back) which had no idea that you do not have acccess to your private keys on exchanges.

It is unfortunate that the dev is killing the momentum of the coin by not sending out the airdrop coins. Now people are worried. ...do not worried... We still working This is just not the first Airdrop with a custom wallet where I really think we should pay more attention to malware. You have seen the VirusTotal report right? Any comments on this...

PM send Good lock devs. show me what you got.

Very basic stuff first. ICO works on the smart contract in correlation with the ethereum blockchain. They have easy implementation on that blockchain. As a part of this they have to maintain the standard of their token to a specific standard names as ERC20 which is relayed by ERC20 supported exchangers or wallets more often. To add this tokens the ERC20 protocol has to be merged with supported wallets and myetherwallet is one of them. That's why use myetherwallet. Oh yeah plus, it is most popular too. ;-)
Thank you very much for THIS answer. I am also relatively new to the game but even I can identify that most of the previous ones where just "educated guessing"
