Everybody who is interesting in IOTA - Let's do together our last test before IOTA's launch on 11 July!
Sending option is now unlocking and we have to make 1000 tx ( this is test mode) before our CFB begins confirm transaction!
We need everybody to do this test, cause as soon WE make 1000 tx as soon all unconfirmed tx will be confirmed!
Do as many tx as possible, make new address' and if you expecting any problems - please immediately report to CFB in http://chat.iotatoken.com/channel/iotatesting

IOTA is ever-evolving technology. On the 11th, not the 19th, the MAINNET launch is. This is the date that represents the finalization of the IOTA software as promised by us who held the crowdsale, but IOTA is much bigger than just the basics. IOTA will continue to evolve in conjunction with the ecosystem.
Open-source projects are perpetually in a 'beta-phase' in many ways. But the official first snapshot and mainnet launch is on Monday. Then on the 19th Exchanges will be allowed to start trading.
All of this will be made clear in blogposts and roadmap that will be published soon.

@all: *First step* when using the IOTA live network is to move all iotas over to new seed. (If you haven't claimed and wait for manual transfer this does not matter to you)
No transfers should be made from snapshot addresses other than moving the iotas to another account, otherwise loss of iotas is possible because of old replayed transactions.
Follow these 3 simple steps and you will be good to go.
1. Generate one address to get up to 3.8 Ti appear.
2. Move the whole balance to a new address in the new account.
3. Go to step 1.

for those who are not familiar with the concept, there is a more detailed step by step guide:
go to your old account (the one with all your iotas in it from the ICO
then generate 1 address (still zero balance ofcourse) Wait for the status to get somewhere near 20 / 2917 (at the moment) and the balance of 3,8 Ti would appear (max)
close the wallet
start the wallet
enter new password of your own choise, never tell it to anyone. This is how you create a new account
generate an adress
copy that adress
close the wallet
open wallet enter old password
Go to send: paste the adress of the new wallet and transfer 3,8 Ti
generate new adress and repeat the whole process

Like CfB brought up, we require a lot more active nodes.
*All* it requires from you as an IOTA user is to have the GUI running and sharing your IP to other users. It requires zero technical knowledge and does not consume a lot of bandwidth or CPU power. In fact EVERYONE should actually easily be a node if they care about IOTA.
We set Exchange date at 19th of July because that's the expiration date of establishment/not-establishment of the IOTA Foundation. But at this moment we might have to move that back because we can't risk the network having a sudden surge in tx/s without more nodes available.
So if you want full launch ASAP, be a node

How long into the past can transactions be replayed? 100% confirmed is not really confirmed? |
