I would love to help any way I can.  I have a bunch of it and I have some web design and SEO abilities if at all useful.

What happens if you send your bet in too late?  I sent one in that doesn't look to be in the confirmed bets.  Will it be refunded?

How do you unlock the wallet for staking?

Some people are still having issues.  We have another update coming unfortunately.

If you have your wallet locked you go to "help" at the top of the window then "debug window"
Click "Console" then type in "walletpassphrase <passphrase> 999999"

That will unlock it for 999999 seconds

Thank you very much

It's getting warm out here (almost 80 degree F) so I don't think just the open window is going to work to keep these things cool.  I have 8 in a row and the warmest has hit 62 degrees.  I read that you should keep them below 60 and definitely below 70.  Are these numbers accurate or should I add some a/c asap?

Where is CloudCoin even listed? I don't see it on Cryptsy or Cryptorush or anywhere else? Looks dead with no dev to me

Google just brings up SCAM, closed, no exchange

Disease Control is why we picked it. We want it to go VIRAL

I see you guys like DIEM more than CDC though. Is that just because of CloudCoin, or do you legitimately like DIEM more? If it's the latter, I'll open a poll and let you guys decide

The problem is that when you search for CDC you get cloudcoin and not Carpe Diem.  It's not that people will be confused and think this is a scam, it's that they can't find it.

hey i just get problem on my pool for payout for more than 10M deamon say "error: {"code":-3,"message":"Invalid amount"}"

20.000.000 is the max payout amount at once for me, after that "invalid amount" is shown

I just tried to cashout over the amount I had from mining overnight but it didn't appear in my wallet.  It also doesn't seem to be on the pool anymore.  Any ideas what I should do?

So you are on the latest Feb firmware, but something is still wrong if it won't accept new .bins to flash. Unfortunately I don't know the deep details on the WRT OS, but those over in the Avalon thread will. If you link to some of the information you've already given me here, they should be able to work out what's going on.

I got it!  Thank you so much for your help!

I checked youtube for an in depth firmware flashing guide to see if I was doing something dumb wrong.  I don't think I was, but the guide had me download the entire zip file from github then copy out the bin to a folder on my computer.  When I used that file instead of just the single file I downloaded from github it worked fine and is now mining.

I have no idea why that worked but the single file didn't but at this point I'm just happy it's working!

Thank you.

I'm the guy who made the youtube video on upgrading the Antminer S1 firmware, lol.  I know you're happy now, but if you have some free time, check the md5 checksum on the file that worked (from the zip) and the single file that didn't work.

I suspect they would not match.

I see. I don't really know anything about md5 checksums but I guess I don't see why they would be different if you downloaded the whole zip file vs just the individual file.

Regardless, thank you for your video and thank you to dogie for helping me troubleshoot!

stuff

To me that looks like what happens when machine code is just derp'ed. Try resetting once more to factory defaults and entering stuff. If not, flash the latest firmware and try again. https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/firmware

I am trying to flash the firmware from there but it's giving me this error:

The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform

I imagine I'm missing something obvious.

I tried both antMiner_openwrt20131226.bin and antMiner_openwrt20140207.bin and got the same error.
That's weird, that shouldn't happen :s

Go to status -> kernel log, what is your first line? This is mine with dec firmware

I just noticed that the one that isn't working is running cgminer 3.12.0-1 while the ones that are working are running 3.8.5-1 that has to be the problem right?  Do you know where I can download the older version and do you know of anything I need to be aware of when doing it?  I see the spot in software to download and install new packages, do I need to do anything else?

Thank you SO much for all of your help so far!

I'm having a bit of an odd problem.  I have setup 11 of them without any issue but I have one that is giving me all kinds of problems.  It connects to the factory default pool fine but when I try to connect it to my pools it won't connect to any of them.  If I leave a factory pool as pool 0 and fill mine in at pool 1 and 2 it says 1 and 2 are dead.  I have all of my other miners mining just fine on those pools so I don't believe they're down.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Check the LAN/WAN connection settings, something might be freaky there. Could also be an IP conflict.

Thank you so much for the reply!

I checked all of the WAN/LAN settings and they're identical to all of my other miners.  I went through just about all of the tabs to compare everything and it all looks the same to me.  Outside of MAC and ip address of course.  All of the other miners have different ip addys so it doesn't appear to be an ip conflict.

The only other thing that is different is that the local time on the bad miner reads:

Local Time   Mon Dec 2 11:45:25 2013

While on the good ones they read current Chinese time.  I don't know if that points to something?

The part that makes no sense to me is that I can mine just fine on the factory default pools but as soon as I change any of them to the pools I want to mine, it says they're dead.

To me that sounds like the machine at least works but I can't figure out where to go next for trouble shooting.

Do you have any other ideas?

Thank you again!

Edit:

I should add the system log has tons of these errors:

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Issues staying connected to coinex? on: January 30, 2014, 07:37:08 PM
I have an Antminer S1 mining on coinex switching pool.  It seems that every once in a while when coinex switches coins, my miner goes to the backup pool for a bit.  The pool hashrate always plummets as well so I don't seem to be the only one having this problem.  Does anyone know of a way to fix it?  Or is there a better profit switching pool available for SHA?
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Overclock the Antminer S1 to 200GH/s] The EASY way! on: January 28, 2014, 10:31:55 PM
I followed this and my antminer shut off immediately when I restarted cgminer.  It then would shut down whenever I powered it up.  I thought maybe the PSU wasn't powerful enough even though it's a 750w and I thought after OCing they pull 550?  So I tried unplugging blade 2 and blade one booted up and mined perfectly.  It was hashing at slightly over 100 Ghash.  I then just loaded in the factory settings and plugged blade 2 back in.  Working as it was.  So...for anyone who runs into the same issue that's how you fix it lol.

My question is, does anyone know why the 750w PSU wasn't enough?  Do you have any recommendations on what PSU to use to OC it to 400?

Two things:

1) Not all xxxW PSUs are equal, not by a long shot.  I had one situation where a 750W could power two cubes, but another 850W could only power one.

2) You might just have a blade that can't quite make the 400MHz - there's no guarantees that they can OC.  That said, if it's the blade, then I'd check your heatsink and TIM or paste on that one.  What temps do you normally see?

It had been running for 24 hours at a constant 40-41 degrees.  This is prior to overclocking.

When I ran just blade one it ran for about 2 minutes at 100 GHash and 400MHz so maybe it's blade 2 that's the issue?

This is the PSU I have...

*****  This doesn't work with earlier versions of the Antminer S1.  Check your asic-freq first if you have the older version Antminer S1.  Ask here or pm me on how to check.  *****

Here's an easy way to oc the Antminer S1.  Disclaimers: I'm not responsible for any damages that may result from following these instructions.  This will void the Antminer S1 3-month warranty.   Cheesy

If you want to see a youtube video on how it works; here it is:  How to Overclock the Antminer S1 bitcoin miner [the EASY way]

  • 1.  ssh to your Antminer  (i.e. ssh root@192.168.1.111)
  • 2.  copy and paste everything inside the code box
Code:
clear
cd /etc/config
mv asic-freq asic-freq.BitmaintechFactoryVersion
wget -O asic-freq http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/u8thhaxuksnhlw0/asic-freq.400MHz
wget -O asic-freq.375MHz http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9yuq14py6sou2w3/asic-freq.375MHz
wget -O asic-freq.350MHz http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/o8590pne9clm348/asic-freq.350MHz
chmod 664 asic-freq
chmod 664 asic-freq.3*
ls -la asic-freq*

  • 3. reboot the Ant

Let me know if you have any questions or wish to switch between ASIC speeds (i.e. 180GH/s is 350MHz, ~190GH/s is 375MHz).
