They are programmers not business men from what I can read and tell. Just because you know how to fix a computer doesn’t mean you know how to sell one too. How many thought Halong was a scam too? Just sayin.

Im sorry but that logic is flawded, he said the whole batch was prepaid, that means they have access to several hundred thousands € (or whatever the cost price was).
Who is gonna invest that kind of money without a proper business plan and presentation? That also means this would have been a long development process.
And yet they rush the simple things, like review, proper videos, website, etc.

The amount of red flags is insane and the biggest one is they dont seem to care at all.

Sim, claramente vocês brasileiros estão em maioria. Smiley

@DwarfMiner: please comment on this. If you actually intend to distribute and sell this properly in a professional manner you should be able to have a proper invoicing setup.

Agreed 100%.

5000 Units * 315€ = 1 575 000€
1.5M € is no joke and this whole process should be taken more seriously.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: VEGA 64 mining FREE WISDOM on: April 09, 2018, 09:57:08 AM
From the start this thread was as weird it could get, filled with different crazy comments from the OP.

I still remmember the ones where he claimed where he didnt care bout profit (by mining ETH...) and just ignored everyone giving him tips. Eventually he just followed what everyone was telling him (Vega -> cryptonight) but he always made it sound like he discovered the wheel.

So wisdom was something you couldnt really find here, at least from him and i never really understood his end game.

Now with this crap token its pretty obvious what his goal was, get money off people.

So tldr: you cant expect any wisdom or anything free here.

Nicehash is not the most recommended.
Alot can change in the coming months, specially in this market, so it's hard to predict.

For the time being in Portugal crypto is not taxed if you declare it as personal, however if its a company it is different.

Saudações tugas ! Smiley

The resell value should also be lower than "gaming" gpu's.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: January 17, 2018, 11:32:25 AM
What clocks are you using?

Could be sillicon lotery, my 56 for example doesnt really like anything above 935Mhz on memory.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: December 18, 2017, 04:30:59 PM
I've been mining on my vega 56 for 2 months now and most of it i've been using Whatman to setup.

Lately i've been trying OverdriveNTool and the profiles on vega.mininguide but it hasnt been as stable as it is with whatman.
My Saphhire has issues with 950mhz on memory, i've tried tweaking the profiles but i've never got anything relieable, ends up crashing or blue screen eventually.

On whatman i use -30% Core, 935/940 Mhz memory and -20% Power and this is the most stable setup.

Anyone else having these issues with OverdriveNTool ? which config should i do to replicate these settings?
Everything sucks to some extent when you don't have full control over frequencies and voltages. Neither Wattman nor OverdriveNtool give you full manual access unfortunately. Wattman just dumbs it down even further. I tried the same settings as you above, they work more or less but do indeed take your hashrate down quite a bit.

Yea i get that i could be doing higher, my settings "only" get me around 1860 hash.
Which is fine for me since its very reliable, can go on for days and the electricity price here in Portugal is awfull (0,17€ kwh...), so the power save is welcome.
It's also my gaming pc so i tried to avoid bios/voltage changes.

Thanks for the answer.

Im buying VR set  for Christmas and if been wondering if the Games esp FAllout 4 VR will be able to run on Blockchain driver  , im sure there will be some issues with VR without proper graphioc drivers but i want to mine also , so If been thinking if i had 2x systems on separte SSDs i could have normal Gprahic drivers on 1 for gaming and on other SDD Blockchain drivers to mine would that work ?

I game on my vega pc with blockchain driver and it works fine.
However i've mostly been playing CS, Wow, League, PUBG.
No clue if i would get more FPS with an actual driver but probably yes.
I cant tell the difference with a 60hz monitor anyway.

my local supplier komplett.no has no air cooled 64's (they have a handful liquid cooled ones) and neither do any shops i have looked at here in Norway

komplett have made a monster order for about 200 64's expected to arrive 2nd Jan from all manufacturers apart from MSI (which is the ones i use now)
Saphire seems to be the manufacturer with the greatest supply at the moment but no delivery until the 2nd Jan unconfirmed!!

this is getting crazy, i bought my cards for around $650 a couple of months ago and now the cheapest listing i can find is $750 (current ROI 24days mining ETH)
sounds like a gold rush no?
think i will put my money where my mouth is and pay for another 3 ($2250) to go with another ASUS mobo i paid for waiting arrival on 17th Dec
i dont like paying for anything without getting it in my hand instantly, but i fear these cards will disapear as soon as they are in stock

i know people, i could use that money to buy 11 lesser cards to fit my current rig (ASUS has 19PCIe but can only run 8 VEGAs with current drivers) but hey, i set myself down this path and have gotten quite competent in their use, so why change that which works

can you find any VEGA64's in your area? if so how much are they going for?

How do you ROI $750 in 24days mining Eth lol

yea soz, should of explained that better, at current ETH price and with my current rig setup im averaging $850/mnth, thats the number i was thinking about to come up with 24day ROI on 1 card

i could just switch over to XMR and pay the 3 card cost with my current rig in 1.5mnths approx excluding the gains from 3 more gpus but then again as i have mentioned before im looking years down the line and much much much grander scale of which i made positive steps today

found a 450m cold storage warehouse and agreed a rental price, talked to the local electricity supplier and they are willing to go below $0,0325 kWh with high use (over 500Amps) , im writting up the business model as we speak and stop to come back here to answer all you good people (my daughter is waiting for me to help her buy her first CryptoKittie as well, she has 0,052ETH in her JAXX wallet lol)

if my numbers dont make sense please excuse me as i am immersed in calculations at the mo

I also run a smaller rig in Norway with a buddy from there and sometimes we talk about expanding.
So out of curiosity, if your confortable sharing the info, how much are you paying for that rental? That space is huge though...

É interessante mas esse preço está mesmo muito puxado, especialmente para o conteúdo disponível.

Hi all,

Out of curiosity... are you guys just focused in mining, or are gamers here as well? And if you're a gamer, do you mine with that rig too or only with dedicated mining rigs?

I used to mine ETH when my Fury Nitro on the gaming PC was in idle, but with the difficulty increase I stopped doing it...

All in all, I'm curious if there's people here not using the blockchain driver only to be able to game as well Smiley

I have a vega 56 on my gaming rig that i use to mine on downtime.

Gaming still works pretty well using the blockchain driver, i just make sure to restart the pc before and after a gaming session.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: small test rig before spending 300k on: October 10, 2017, 01:48:53 PM
Gtx 1050 ti is a cheap /lower power and efficient card.

However with that budget, solar power and lack of knowledge i wouldnt go for something like that. Since its a cheap/low card the number of GPU's would be bigger and therefore increasing the number of rigs and difficulty of setup and maintenance.

The most popular options are:
AMD - rx 580 or vegas
Nvidia - gtx 1070 / 1080 ti

I advise you to read up alot more before making any decisions.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: October 09, 2017, 03:28:53 PM
I got a mining rig with nvidia GPUs but i've been thinking on getting a vega 56 for my gaming/daily pc.

If i optimize the vega for mining monero (registry edit, blockchain drivers, etc) is it still decent/stable enough for gaming?

Which countries government gives you money, to create jobs?

I would say it's probably a country that belong to the EU.

In Portugal there's similar stuff like "Portugal 2020" which falls in the sort of thing he described.

You have to present a project, in the available categories, and the EU funds it if it gets approved.
