Just a little while ago you posted this -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313208.msg56222150#msg56222150Title: This New Ethereum Miner EARNS $200 DAILY?! Linzhi Phoenix is finally REAL Title Now: This New Ethereum Miner NOW EARNS $300 DAILY?! Linzhi Phoenix ETH miner You added the word NOW and changed "finally REAL" to "ETH miner" for the title. I'm not even going to start comparing the contents of your post as it's basically a copy-paste as well. The number of your posts has gone up significantly, the quality however..... Either post something informative/educative or simply don't post anything at all. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

So, I didn't find a suitable thread regarding the discussion of Filecoin mining, so for this purpose I decided to use the old thread, (for obvious reasons). In the near future I will edit the OP, and formulate a list of questions of interest to me, (as there are gaps in the filecoin documentation). Do not hesitate to join the discussion, especially I will be glad to see those who have already started mining this coin here.
Hah!, someone who's looking beyond just deploying mining units (which is in terms of "difficulty rate" -> "My grandma can do it") for a quick ROI. I might just actively participate here

On Raveos + amdmemtweak --i [tid] --CL 20 --RAS 20 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12 --RC 37 --RP 11 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 6 --RTP 5 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 14 --REF 65535 --RFC 248 you can get 56+
You should rephrase that and write: "On any distro + amdmemtweak {....} you can get 56+ if you've got some silicon lottery winners." Every "mining OS" out there is a Linux distro with some scripts here and there. Even some of them have kernel modifications (the exceptions out there), some of them will give you some extra options, and so on. In the end, no "Mining OS" is that special that it'll give you a crazy hash rate increase over any competitors. Just as a note to other people reading this thread. Don't go crazy over a few MH, some GPUs will simply not make it, some came of the side of the wafer and unfortunately are of worse quality compared to its sisters. Then there's the revision, the later revisions are slightly better than the first ones and will reach higher hash rates much easier. And then I'm not even talking about the memory vendor, where there's also a huge difference... As a nice last example, I've got a 5700 here that is running 63Mh stable, then I've got another one, same model that has issues maintaining 57Mh.. Just saying Cheers!

Anything for a "click" right And no, I never watched your video. You did however caught me with that seriously misleading title, sneaky! Anyhow, I guess that's also a way to draw people in right? It worked! And now you've got even more attention to your post. So don't be mad mate, be happy... I'm completely relaxed mate. You just made it even worse. There's basically 0 own research then? Just citing something that has been cited from someone that cited it from someone that invented it? Interesting Cheers

I tend to not reply to these kinds of posts but please stop posting random nonsense backed by 0 facts "merely rumors".
Or just be honest about the fact that you're just posting multiple posts "regularly" purely to draw people to your Website/Youtube/...
It's not like 2017 when most of the shortage was indeed due to miners.
Have you thought about the following:
- Nvidia releasing new products - AMD releasing new products - Intel releasing new products - Sony released the new PS5 - Microsoft released the new Xbox - Millions of laptops being sold due to Covid (remote work) - Compute demand sky high - ... I can go on and on and on
Get your facts together before posting. There are substrate issues, there are memory issues, there are a million other components that are "dried" out...

can i apply memory straps in this format ? 777000000000000022AA1C00315A6B3CA0550F15B68C1506006AE4007C041420CA8980A9020004C 01712262B612B3715
Yes Please confirm if this tool can strap timing 1550mhz for 5700xt micron on the fly without bios mod? Thanks so much.
No, Navi strap injection is not supported and I have no interest in releasing that. Greetings

Thanks for the video. I wonder how safe is 800+ memory overclock. So without any drastic change, 2.52 watts per megahash, incredible, certainly the gpu king of mining for now. Been reading some posts here, mostly reading a bunch of nonsense and speculation, usually not worth replying to but this one I just had to reply to. 2.52w the king of mining? My almost 2 year old R7: 2.1W/Mh.My 3 year old Vega 56: 2.5W/Mh (and this can be improved) My 5700: 2.2W/MhGreat king you've got there. Is it a king for gaming purposes? Yeah, most probably! But so far, not for mining (efficiency wise). Please try to be objective and don't let your fanboyism get the better of you. Cheers ;-)

Boт cпacибo! Пpoпycтил кaк-тo Oн тaйминги нe дaл )))) You're talking about the entire Russian scene? Yeah, it's well known that they keep almost everything to themselves. They also like to start talking random Russian in an English thread. Although i'm very well aware that you can't just throw everyone in the same pot.

Hi. Apparently, there is already a Navi timing decoder. Will it be shared or private for now? The result is not shining yet. Compare with the result 1500+ tref 10000-12000.
Right, i did a bios editor a few months ago, was thinking about releasing it but then RBE came and i figured why have 2 Mine however decodes and encodes the entire strap, (with auto mode register fixes where necessary) works on navi 10, 12 and 14.
|
|
|
I first didn't think it was possible due to the onboard PSP obfuscating the registers. However, that doesn't mean that we can't bypass it.. Navi Timing injections is working perfectly

@Eliovp I see you've changed your mind about bios mods on RX 5700 Have you tried changing the default voltages the card uses at stock settings? https://i.imgur.com/mRACsh3.pngWe can use those to set an "offset voltage curve" (y=ax2+bx+c, y in Volts, x in Ghz). I've changed my default voltage for 2000 to 1.05v instead of 1.17v by tweaking those. They are stored in ieee754 float format in the bios. BTW I'm super ready to test the timing encoding/decoding Yeah, i've done my share of playing around with these navi's. I don't think i'm going to release anything with stuff like "MorePowerTool" out there. Let them have some fun. Cheers!

|
|
Hi, ElioVP when a releases amdmemtweak Navi I can only do a release with softpowerplay support. Registers for the timings are obfuscated by the onboard PSP and so it's not possible to apply the same tricks. I might release a navi vbios editor with timings decoding/encoding option (as seen in screenshot above). But with the release of RBE, i'm not hurried :p Cheers!

Hello Eliovp, actually it is possible....
Hey! I also own a 5700 and i flashed a XT bios on it and copied 1500 straps to 2000. I'm getting 57.3 Mhs out of it, but I saw your post. You said you changed "tRef (that gave me +1MH for ETH)". Where can I find this value in BIOS? Can you help me? I dont use AMD MEm Tweak XL since I use HiveOS and I need to change that value in the BIOS itself. Here you are, this is Micron 1500 Mhz strap (f0490202 in BIOS) example: 800900007D040000000000006A09000040020000142619133D00170006060002100000000508080 018000000218E06000000010101000101001C1800220B00000A0A0000B4000000B40000008A206C024C0000000A00040A130300011F2A0C00A500000002F 4130FA500000000000000 I changed 220B (tREF 2850) to E02E (tREF 12000) Yeah i know it's possible :p Already built a bios editor with encoding and decoding of those timings.

crashed my windows and had to reinstall, clean installed win10 but now i cannot run amd memory xl, every time i turn it on it says it has to go to test mode, i click ok..than it says:
An error has occured setting the element data. The value is protected. Succesfully activated test mode. Please reboot your system.
Reboted couple of time, every time its same, cannot run it. Read somwhere i need to delete drivers in system32, so i did, deleated AMD folder, also used DDU for uninstalling, and still same error appears.
Tried older driver 19.5.2. also same thing, no luck.
Any help/tips?
Did you create a softpowerplay entry in your registry? You can always use the cli version, it doesn't need test mode to work. You should give Minerstat a try.
I got my 6 Vega64 rig started within a couple of hours with the optimal setting.
Or just use any other *Linux* distro out there.

No you won't.. Flashing an XT vbios to a non XT card is the only thing that is possible. The onboard PSP prevents you from doing modifications. Also, memory timing changes on a Navi are like on an R7, useless. The only thing that would improve performance (particularly eth mining wise) would be to make it so that you extend your bandwith. Which means that you would need to change clocks + timings so it remains stable and because the PSP on board even has it's own PPtable, this is yet again not possible. Well, anything is possible, or almost :p But at this stage, i doubt anyone has been able to accomplish vbios edits for navi (basically bypass PSP). Cheers
|
|
|
flashing 5700 with custom bios is not a problem any more the only problem is bios editor for Navi... hexeditor is our friend and shostt58 Please define yourself. AFAIK, flashing a modified vbios (except then flashing an XT vbios to a non XT card) does not work due to the on board PSP basically saying "Nope". Using a custom softpowerplay table, that is of course possible. So not sure what you're trying to say here.

Strap injection does not seem to work for 5700
Mmm you seem to be right, the injection part itself does work though, just make a few changes and click inject, then refresh from driver, (the dropdown box values are the ones loaded from the vbios inside the memory), if you click refresh button the tool will load the values from the driver directly. So if you injected something, it will load those. However, i use to be able to crash my GPU but not anymore, AMD changed something. Guess i will need to contact customer support

Eliovp, what about signing the driver? Any news?
Sorry man, i'm not in such a wealthy situation to be paying ridiculous amounts of money just to sign a driver. I'm also not interested in using out of date or revoked "hacked" certificates. Anyhow, just did a quick new release to support latest drivers which fix DAG issue on Navi GPU's. Link: HereScreen: Cheers EDIT: 1.1.0.3 uploaded, PowerPlay voltage now in readable format

I'll release a new version of AMD Memtweak XL later today with latest driver support (Strap injection support for latest driver) So you can play around on your Navi card Cheers! Edit: Here
