Not at present. I had a pool running but due to the fact that it's just a VM running on my desktop due to not having a headless client for linux
Is there some reason you can't compile from source? I had a little trouble but I'm now running communitycoind on a *nix box... I had been encountering errors in the compile process... If you could send me info on how to compile it on headless *nix, i'd appreciate it. EDIT: Never mind... Finally CaptChadd fixed the initial compile errors i was having but i had to rename obj-test in the src dir to obj for it to compile. Veddy 2nd EDIT: Pool is now online thankfully at concord.lksmith.me! Point your miners to Concord.lksmith.me:9988 for mining if you've already established workers with the old pool at mc.lksmith.me!

is there any pool for mining?
Not at present. I had a pool running but due to the fact that it's just a VM running on my desktop due to not having a headless client for linux I am stopping the pool until the client can run on a headless linux server.

Is it just me, or is the seednode down?
I will check it for you. Your EXC pool is down if you did not know. Don't you mean CTC? And yeah. I know. I'm currently awaiting the headless linux client before opening it back up.

Address updated. Thank you.
Should the power miner not come forth and enter an address, I will be redistributing his earnings. (After a reasonable amount of time, of course.) I plan to give him 2 weeks and if he doesn't put in an address into the DB, i'll redistribute what's left. I don't like having that amount of CTC just sitting in a pool wallet that is now unused. Veddy EDIT: rlh: tx sent for 50 CTC. TxID: 58264c6029e79cbb84422a7046ce34473f377205b93d75dc3e53299e65bd2cea

3rd EDIT: Turns out i screwed up in the troubleshooting. I should've looked and added a share to a certain block but i didn't. New wallet is in place and I will be paying all of it out based on the backed up history of shares. I do sincerely apologize.
Veddy
I'll consider that growing pains. I managed to mine about 25 coins yesterday. Can I still post an address for a cashout or does it no longer matter? add your address to your account and i'll send you a manual tx. Veddy

Pool is currently down due to overload in the block generation system for PPLNS. Will post when back online.
EDIT: Unfortunately, it's going to be harder to fix than I originally thought. Minus the currently listed donation amounts, i will pay out the current wallet, create a new one and then wipe the db except for the userdb...
Veddy
2nd EDIT: Pham: please put a payout address into my pool's db or else i won't be able to pay you.

It's recalcuated every 144 blocks. Am I correct in saying that with a 5min block time they should normally take about 12 hours, if the 144 take less than 12 hours then the diff goes up, if they take more then the diff goes down?
That's correct (I think). Veddy

I have been soloing this a bit too, to help with the diff spike, will get back to normal. The person or group that power mined it get quiet a few coins and so become interested on this on an exchange, so it only helps really.
Technically solo mining doesn't help/hurt the diff spike. Damage is done for a while. although we dropped down to .41 diff from .77 which is good. Veddy

Sorry about the pool Downtime guys. host cd drive decided to be a punk and i had to run out of the house with the cd that was in the drive before i could restart the pool

Looks like somebody wanted to diff spike this chain. And they succeeded.... oh well.

Here's the details you need for mining. communitycoin.conf rpcuser=user rpcpassword=password rpcport=22700 rpcallow=*.*.*.* server=1 addnode=212.48.67.126 Cgminer Details : cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localthost:22700 -u user -p password Block Explorer : http://altcha.in/chain/Crimecoin - I assume this will be renamed to Communitycoin Mining Pool : http://mc.lksmith.meCgminer Details : cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://mc.lksmith.me:9988 -u poolusername -p worker password Just as an FYI: rpcallowip line should NOT be in your confs. Doing so presents a security risk if somebody can figure out your username/pw. Also, Change user to something else and password to something random that you can copy paste for your own safety. server=1 doesn't need to be there assuming you're not solo mining. also. Dj missed something in the pool cgminer string. it's supposed to be cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://mc.lksmith.me:9988 -u poolusername.workername -p workerpassword. Veddy EDIT: rpcallowip line is not required for peer connections like CaptChadd thought. Peer connections will happen regardless. So please, REMOVE that line from the conf and DO NOT open that port up to the public internet.

Wow! After the name change Network Hashing power has spiked to over 100MH/s... i don't know whether to be happy or to be paranoid that this might be a 51% attack.

Finding blocks fine!
Yeah I just found one too. CaptChadd, Sent you a PM. Everyone else, On irc.freenode.net, I've established the #communitycoin channel. CaptChadd has been assigned op status as well as myself having it for registering the channel so it wouldn't have the chance of getting snagged by someone else. Pool server is restarting in about 5 minutes. (pool is already down but i need to restart my desktop.) EDIT: Pool is back up with a few modifications! The Currency symbol/extension (CTC) is now in place plus i have disabled the problematic Confirm Email functionality until such a time that I can get it to work properly. Checking the pool userDB for any currently locked accounts right now. Veddy

With regards to the pool, I ran into problems at first but its because there is a mistake on the getting started page, It lists the port as 9088 when in fact in the first post of this thread it lists it as 9988 - I tried both and failed on 9088 but connected on 9988.
make sure you have the correct one matey the winning port number is
9988
:-) hope it helps
Good catch! I hadn't noticed that. Thanks! Veddy

Apologies to any users who registered on the pool and couldn't login due to not getting an email. I have since unlocked the accounts and will be looking into why the Emails weren't sent.

Registration is open for the moment. Should my DB get spammed again, I'll close it again and delete all offending user entries.

Well guys,
It's time for me to get to bed. If any issues arise while i'm sleeping, throw me a PM and I'll read them as soon as I get up.
Here I come, Snoozyland.
Veddy
EDIT: Fuck sleeping. Apparently, I can't sleep now >.< ...
Anyways, I received this question as part of a request for an invitation: "May I ask you why you selected this invitation method?"
Answer is this (also replied directly to the person but decided to post it here for future reference): A certain script kiddie who i have already filed a complaint against with the ISP that provides the assailant IP address decided it would be fun to spam register with fake emails which flooded my userDB for the pool. I shut off open registration as a result of that script kiddie's actions. At some point, I may re-open the registration page without requiring an invitation to join, but not at present.

How is everyone finding the slight new custom look of the version 1.2 client?
Yes, looking good and unique. I don't know if it's possible but is there any way to make it play a sound for incoming transactions? The pools down but I think Veddy's still doing his GMT-5 hw update. Good work guys and if there's anything I can do to help just ask. my apologies. The "HW update" was me playing tech support with my desktop which is also the pool server. Kinda hard to plug in/remove a SATA HDD while the computer is running. Anyways, Pool should be back up and time corrected so yeah. (did a save machine state instead of just sending an ACPI shutdown signal). Tech support for family somehow getting the Internet Security Pro 2013 virus is a bitch. I should've just left my computer up and researched it first. Turns out everything I needed to do to that laptop had to be done ON THAT LAPTOP! >.< Veddy

POOL NOTICE: Pool will be going down effective immediately for a 10 minute hardware fix. Will post an EDIT on this post when back online.
EDIT: Pool back online but another hw maintenance will occur at roughly noon (GMT-5) today.
