Good Morning, There have been a lot of fake miners out here and me posting a new one will look suspicious, i know. For those that have been a victim of this. And obviously everyone else. Here is a fully working version for WhirlpoolX (not the most popular Algo at this moment, but that may change in the near future ) Speed is around 550Mh on a 290X. Link: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ti00soBe sure to first test on a virtual machine / Sandboxie and or test on VirusTotal. I'll check this out, just cause it sounds like mine from this record: https://ottrbutt.com/miner/whirlpoolxwolf-03162015.pngIt is yours yes. I suppose you won't tell where you got it? What would I gain from that? Or you? Just want to help out the community. I've got more where that came from. Lyra2re2 mod, quark mod, (not the Kachur one) neoscrypt mod. Unfortunately i do not have an ether improvement. I'm thinking of bundling everything as an early Christmas present. We'll see

another WINDOWS compile? ... have a linux one with source - so we can actually SEE whether its clean code? ... #crysx We spoke about this in pm, took another risk, and this time it's a good one. I can confirm, it's working.

did this coin gives anyone free lube at least??
i mean they all took it up the ass pretty good thus far.

Hi can someone please remind me how to tell if my R9 290 and 290X GPU are Tahiti or Hawai ? cheers
They're Hawaii

I would be great to see EXPANSE 'Dagger' Algo added to NiceHash.. I wonder what the consensus among the mining community is for something like this? I cant wait to see what the next batch of goodies the Dev team have plans for releasing next? I'm sure you don't need me to say this but i'll say it anyway: good luck & great job! That sounds like a good idea. Im surprised betarigs hasnt stepped up too. +1 sounds good Sure, we're very much interested in adding Dagger Ethereum-based algorithm. We have actually already spent quite some time on researching this matter. The issue is that Ethereum want their own way with mining protocol and they only included Getwork-like protocol for mining. There is no stratum support and therefore including Dagger Ethereum-based algorithm into our service is not trivial (that's also the reason why there aren't any renting service available whatsoever). Basically there are two options: 1. Either Ethereum includes stratum protocol into their stack: we have already been asking the community https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/3068/stratum-support-for-pooled-mining-support-decentralization#latest -> zero response; and we've also contacted StephanTual of Ethereum, he said he will check with devs, but there was no further response. 2. Someone writes Ethereum's Getwork-like -> Stratum mining protocol proxy. That would require some programming effort, but is doable. If this proxy would exist, then the system would work like this: miner -> local (lightweight) stratum-proxy -> NiceHash -> any Dagger Ethereum-based algorithm pool This would yield significant boost to any Dagger Ethereum-based coin since NiceHash is by far the most widely used system for renting and buying hashing power. Think about our proposals and let us know if you can find someone for the Dagger stratum-proxy job ... we're even willing to partially finance the development. For 2) maybe this is a place to start, https://github.com/sammy007/ether-proxy

And in general, how goes the fight for true decentralization?
Not too shabby. The potential of Mr Spread’s “anti-pool” innovation has been noted, borrowed, adopted, adapted and is now obliquely traceable via reference #34 to Ziftrcoin (*) in Andrew Miller et als' preprint paper (PDF) Nonoutsourceable Scratch-Off Puzzles to Discourage Bitcoin Mining Coalitions. So there ya go. Cheers Graham (*) Spreadcoin repos was created well before Ziftrcoin. Not trying to nit pick but I just wanted to point out it's actually #44. Interesting find.

I've tried to mine Etereum but i get an erorr "Allocating/mapping single buffer failed with: clCreateBuffer<-61>.GPU can't a;;pcate the DAG in a single chunk.Bailing." any ideea why or how can i fix it
Make sure your card have more than 2GB memory, use the max alloc command to be 95, use a new (recent) catalyst driver. I have 3GB allocated and with the latest drivers after the miner make the DAG file the system blocks don't know why ? Now it's working but send just invalid shares on (suprnova) any ideea why? Or how can i fix this Delete the dag files and restart the miner.

huh... are you sure you're entering everything right and don't have any adware or anything? Maybe try clearing your cookies, search vanillacoin on google, and then click the www.vanillacoin.net link I get the same thing if I use https. That's strange, that can't be proper behavior right?

Not sure the settings are going to be stable just yet. There is one weird quirk I have observed, and it is making me a bit suspicious. I have noticed it happening on three different restarts so far. The first was several hours ago, when I first ran across the settings. The power usage started out at about 150W. Over about an hour, it had crept up to about 160W. I wanted to try some different settings, so I changed the conf and restarted. This time it started at about 166W. Over about 4 hours, it crept up to about 175W. Just to see if I was losing my mind, I decided to shut down and let the system cool all the way down. Once it was sitting at 38C, I restarted. Power usage was about 166W on startup. It has been running for 36 minutes, and the power usage is now up to 169.4W. And now it is 169.5W. I just noticed both the amperage and the voltage increased by the minimum increment. And now it is 169.6W. I don't know. Something just doesn't feel quite right about it. Oh, as for the "magic number".... and this to your conf file Maybe it doesn't work for everyone, but my gpu really likes running 3 threads. same worksize and xintensity that you use for 2 threads? I use 64 for each.

Also, as always... Please compare us with other X11 multipools on poolpicker.euThe things are looking pretty good: There are quite a few nice posts in our BTC and DASH threads and you can see by payouts that the number of miners is increasing. We have about 2GH of X11 hashrate currently. And are welcoming new miners, please join us! How is poolpicker getting their btc/mhs number? You're the only one who knows the hashrate. Are they guessing their speed based on wolf0's bins?

Then Danila launches a botnet for GPUs.
1) that type of botnet is tougher 2) he would have to get the new payload to the already infected machines 3) people are more apt to notice when their video card sounds like a jet engine and remove the malware 4) it may not be an ideal solution but the important thing is to adapt, sitting on your ass doing nothing gets vertcoin no where

I don't use parameters, I prefer this way, it works but does not switch most of the time, even when it receives error getting json data and gets 0,000 value it keeps mining
{ "algo": "x11", "folder": "D:\\data\\MinerControl165\\sgminer", "command": "sgminer.exe", "arguments": "-c x11FF.conf", "usewindow": true },
what is "btcfee":2, ?
uh oh, This is how I'm implementing Miner Control. Does it ever seem to work? I'm confused as to why it wouldn't work, is it something to do with detectstratum?

I don't think so, no.
Is it ok for x11 on amd 7950? Struggling to get anywhere near this speed for a 7950, and i'm using an 280X. How? we get about that for a 280x also ... #crysx MSI R7950 TF3 is 6.25M steady. at 1050/1250 XFX 7950 is 5.75 at 950/1250 280Xes are 7 to 7.5 depending on brand/clocks On Wolfs bins I only get 6.5Mhs for a 280X(1100/1500), so the bin you're using are definitely faster. Although the bins are Linux versions? thats what i meant ... we get that same speed using wolfs bins on gigabyte 280x / 7970 oc cards - with the same oc clocks ... any higher and the cards become unstable ... and yes - they are under linux - fedora 19 x64 ... with compiled sgminer-dev 5.1.1-17-g6666 ... this is why i would be interested to see how those 'other' bins work under linux - and how much of a hashrate increase ( if any ) in linux ... #crysx I'll check back here if you've tested, although my rig is set up in windows 7, so hopefully there can be some bin for that eventually. The bins do work on windows 7. The same bins can work on linux or windows. Reference Wolf0's instructions here. https://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2o1yoz/rewritten_x11_binaries/ There is no place where it says if you are under linux do this and if you are under windows do this.. From that link you would download wolf0's I8 bins and rename them to your system which may be is probably I4 or I8. Wolf0 used to make a 64bit version of sgminer for windows and I'm pretty sure those would produce I8 bins. Wolf his bins work on both platforms. That's a fact. I haven't tried the russian ones. I'm not going to because they're compiled on a windows system. And if there's anything else modded besided the .cl files, it won't work on your sgminer version. Wolf his will work because there are no modifications done outside the .cl files. Good point. iirc when I was following the russian thread I think the dev (kachur?) mentioned that he modified other files. I was only paying attention to quark at that time.

This x11 bins are from original "kachur" sgminer 5.1.1 package. When cryptomining-blog leaked this miner they only supplied with quark and qubit but miss x11 ... )))
im guessing no one has the linux version of the bins - do they? ... they are the ones that would have the '8' notation to them ( darkcoin-modTahitigw64l4ku0.bin is windows - darkcoin-modTahitigw64l8ku0.bin is linux ) ... if so - i would like to try them out also ... #crysx I don't think the 8 means they are for linux. I've been told this l4 for 32-bit, l8 for 64-bit I think you get the 8 if you compile a bin with a 64bit version of sgminer and a 4 with a 32bit version. I don't use linux but I don't think bins are platform specific. You should be able to rename the optimized bins with the names of the bins produced on your system regardless of 4 or 8.
