1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Relationships on: February 15, 2019, 02:49:20 PM
In opposite to most commentators here, I had quite a pleasant experience in online relationships. I've been dating wth a girl, which I’ve met on Craigslist’s personals section. I agree about a lack of intimacy in such kind of dating, but this problem can be solved with face-to-face meetings. For me, Craigslist wasn’t a site for chatting, but a platform for meeting someone with similar interests. Sadly but recently it has been closed. I found a list of alternative resources here - https://websiteslikecraigslist.net/, but I don’t have an account on any of them yet, so if you will share your experience I will be grateful.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or other business what do you choose? on: November 23, 2018, 01:12:25 PM
Businesses vary from one to another, it all depends. However, Bitcoin is unique as it reduces the barrier for entry – anyone can start trading with a small amount of money, while in any business, you need a decent start-up budget. That’s why I choose Bitcoin trading. If you also decide to join, I’d like to recommend CEX where you can buy BTC with fiats safely (https://cex.io/btc-gbp) and trade all major cryptocurrencies.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Phillipines adopting BITCOIN on: November 22, 2018, 01:42:40 PM
Philippines has made a great step forward in adopting Bitcoin. With such positive tendencies, the country can influence its neighbors to follow their lead. Finally, the government started to realize the benefits of adopting cryptocurrency. This is the example for every country.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any good movies related to/about bitcoin? on: November 19, 2018, 10:01:09 AM
There are some must-see documentaries. I strongly suggest watching 'I am Satoshi', 'Rise and Rise of Bitcoin', and 'The End of Money as We Know It'. Enjoy.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money on a long-term period on: November 09, 2018, 08:41:28 AM
Your idea is very interesting. The best way to save money is to invest in valuable things that won’t be depreciated in time. And during the long bearish crypto market, such investments and passive income may close the gaps in your funds. I think keeping fiats is the riskiest way because inflation can reach even USD. If the market remains the same till the end of the year, your idea can become popular.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 08, 2018, 10:20:28 AM
It’s obvious that the more you invest, the more profit you receive. But what is great about cryptocurrency is that it provides incredibly low barriers to entry in comparison with other markets. It enlarges the potential audience. Although the price is pretty high, it's possible to purchase small units of Bitcoin.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I do before buying an altcoin! on: November 07, 2018, 02:15:31 PM
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and methods. I would like to add some reflections. I just do a research about coins of my interest, read articles, watch videos on YouTube, or analyze charts. Additionally, I explore the websites of the exchanges like CEX or Coinbase where I can buy btc with fiats or exchange it for other cryptos (https://cex.io/xrp-btc). They reflect the situation on the market.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple - long term or shorting? on: November 06, 2018, 02:25:37 PM
Yeah, agree with drogas. It even seems to me that this coin will become widely accepted quickly than bitcoin. But it's only my assumption. So, I'll definitely hodl it. Both long or short terms make sense, but I'd \vote for a long term. And if you'll decide to buy it, I suggest doing it on CEX (https://cex.io/xrp-eur).
9  Economy / Economics / Re: How to calculate profit on: November 02, 2018, 03:18:49 PM
In order to get profit, you must sell at a price higher than the one you bought at. So, when you buy and sell at the same price it is obviously won’t give you any profit. Furthermore, you'll lose money on paying transaction fees. In general, the profit calculation is based on the price growth of the currency and the size of your investment. Let's say, the price is $10,000 and you put $100 – if the price goes up to $10,400, your profit will be $4. There is nothing difficult in it, successful trading just requires more experience.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: October 30, 2018, 10:41:14 AM
I agree with Alexeu00011, gender shouldn't matter. For example, I didn't teach my girlfriend how to trade. She did it by herself, and then even started consulting me Smiley It was she who introduced me to such a cryptocurrency exchange as CEX. With their payment methods that include bank transfer option (https://cex.io/wires-campaign/), it's quite convenient. I am greatful my girlfriend is involved and shares her experience with me.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook against Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2018, 10:33:38 AM
Facebook is a commercial platform. After they've banned cryptocurrency ads, they've realized that they could make a lot of money on it. That’s why they've changed their mind. The requirements for advertisers are tough though. Maybe, talks about Facebook creating their own token actually make sense. There is lots of money in crypto, and they want their piece of pie.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is trading cryptocurrency different from stocks and forex trading? on: October 24, 2018, 02:02:13 PM
Yep, crypto markets are way more volatile and more dynamic. That’s the main difference. While stocks or forex markets are related to classical economics, crypto exchanges don't comply with traditional rules. They work 24/7/365, and prices change rapidly. Experienced traders make huge profits in hours or days, they make x5-x100 thanks to a few transactions. It’s impossible for traditional trading systems. As for other features, there is a giant number of coins and tokens. There are around 200 fiat currencies but more than 2,000 cryptos! You can buy crypto for fiat in different pairs, say, XRP for EUR (https://cex.io/xrp-eur), or you can sell BCH for USD, and so on.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges in 2018 on: October 23, 2018, 03:16:14 PM
My choice is CEX. It's a simple exchange with strong security measures. Though sometimes it can ask to provide a lot of documents for verification (which could be quite exhausting). But what is especially good is their fiats support. You can easily buy bitcoins (https://www.cex.io/buy-bitcoins) with cards or via bank transfers there.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be A Good Trader? [new] on: October 18, 2018, 09:21:36 AM
Yeah, erickkyut is right. I also would suggest choosing an easy-to-use exchange where you can buy coins with your cards. Like CEX (https://cex.io/). This website provides a cold storage for keeping coins. But it's still better to have a hardware wallet for such purposes. Anyway, if the exchange has an option of a cold storage that means your coins will be placed in the cyberspace offline. And the exchange I've mentioned has a high level of security, so I'm quite sure you won't have problems with it.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Centralized vs Decentralized Exchanges - Which ones are better? on: October 09, 2018, 10:36:18 AM
More and more Decentralized Exchanges are popping up, but are they really what they are hyped up to be?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-xA7p9NbdI

I think the concept is great, but at the moment they are really hard to use because of constant downtimes especially on IDEX and EtherDelta. What are your thoughts on this?

Well, I consider them just like a better version of centralized exchanges. I agree, the concept is good enough, but I haven't used DEXs, so I have nothing to say here. Probably, in the future, I'll try. Though at the moment, I'm satisfied with CEX (https://cex.io/), as all my favorite coins are placed there, and the payment options are fine.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except btc and eth,may i invest which coin? on: October 01, 2018, 04:15:17 PM
Well, you can look up at CoinMarketCap's page, and make some research on this matter. I’ve noticed that some users recommended investing in xrp or/and stellar... probably I’ll agree with ‘em. Honestly, these coins are my favorite ones Smiley Besides, I can buy or trade them on the exchange that I’m using. And since cex doesn’t have a lot of different coins, I’m lucky to see there all of crypto that I like.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: September 28, 2018, 02:52:48 PM
My friends actually heard about cryptocurrency even before I told them that I decided to deal with it. But they are very skeptic on this matter. I guess that they can’t or don’t want to understand idea of crypto’s independence from any government. One of my mates even rolled his eyes when he heard that I consider that btc is a digital gold, he didn’t want to hear any explanation. I think they need time to realize that it’s not another bubble, as some people believe. And if they want to be in step with the times, they must be more open-minded and accept the opportunities provided by new technologies.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is best wallet for long term bitcoin holding? on: September 27, 2018, 03:02:57 PM
For a long-term holding I would recommend using a hardware wallet, especially for Bitcoin. Here are some examples on BitcoinWiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Hardware_wallet. If you're considering to use a web-based wallet, then choose it from trusted and reliable exchanges (like CEX (https://cex.io/) or Coinbase). These platforms should guarantee a cold storage, 2FA, data encryption etc.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are the advantages of altcoin ? on: September 25, 2018, 09:27:11 AM
Most of the altcoins differ from Bitcoin in a few minor features like mining algorithms or a level of anonymity. Fortunately, there are other altcoins which undergo important changes. They present a new product with a potentially wider application area. These altcoins move the process of decentralization ahead and adequately compete with Bitcoin, stimulating its development. The actual advantages of those altcoins are, primarily, quicker payments and lower fees.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am not sharing my crypto love? <3 on: September 21, 2018, 11:46:25 AM
People take notice only of good results. Mostly they don’t take risks or losses contained by crypto market into consideration. But there is no guarantee that their experience will be as positive as yours. People should understand that they should invest their time, knowledge and skills if they want to get a profit. Talking about the crypto market, a person should be patient and need to have at least a basic understanding of the technology to reach positive results.
