1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒⚒[CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - The Elusive Coin⚒⚒ on: March 07, 2014, 03:26:20 AM
This coin is really starting to kick my rigs ass  Grin  The value should be going up pretty good now, or so I would presume.

Whats the matter right now?

I don't understand why people want to change the code again? Its pretty "normal", that this coin is rare, this is a GOOD thing.
It produces fear, when the chain is forked again, especially when people could loose coins wtf. I don't want to loose any coins, and I don't see a necessarity in a code change, could someone explain to me please?

I agree, you are taking a gamble here. Not many people check forums like this every day to see if they are running everything properly.  The coin is already on markets, and it simply needs to get stable.   If this is another major code change, it needs to be the last.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - The Elusive Coin - ON IT'S FIRST EXCHANGE! on: February 16, 2014, 03:51:50 PM
12845 coins created, and only  641.82 coins on exchange, at current.  That should help create some good demand.  It doesn't seem as though many are dumping, which is great  Smiley

So I switched to the MPOS pool last night - has the coin got a lot harder to mine in the last few days or is the MPOS pool less efficient in some way?
yea it is harder to mine now, check page 1 there is a update about it

I thought that difficulty change was at block 15,000 though, quite a few days ago now?
Yup, we've already rolled past block 19k

What prices do you have in mind?

I assume your question is what value would I consider cheap vs fair vs expensive?

And the answer is I don't really know, I think it will be a rather emotional response once I see trading start.

And of course, emotion is what drives most crypto values ... Wink
A realistic price would probably be 0.0004 to 0.001 BTC per 1 CGA. But I don't know either, and I agree with you, emotions will make the most of the price.

That's around the price for an Anon coin.  I used to mine those, and this coin is a hell of a lot harder to mine.  It would expect it to start higher.

Ive been mining over at altcoinpool for quite some time now. We are going through the blocks but I have not got a single confirmation in that whole time everything is still unconfirmed. Display errors again???

at my low ~175kH/s that is ~16hrs of mining with out a single confirmation. Sketchy noż
That seems more like a problem with the pool  I normally get 140 or so confirmations relatively quickly.

i don't think i could get more than 2 coin/day if i was mining with a pool @440 kh

With that hashrate I was getting upwards of 9 coins a day, running 24/7, on a pool.

u're saying u were mining 4,5 coin / 12h

i mined 4 coin / 6h today..
You lose a bit for consistency, that's the way it works.

So what about coins that were mined sinse the beginning? I updated the wallet and it's not synhing. Does it mean my coins are gone?
As long as you mined on the correct block chain, your coins are still attached to your address.  If you install the new wallet, and insert your wallet.bat file (your backup), then you will get all your coins in your wallet.

There will be 5 nodes hardcoded.

make a ping to node1.cga.anomalypool.com and then make a ping to anomalypool.com, these are 2 different IP addresses, in fact they are 2 different physical machines.

node1.cga.anomalypool.com will be hardcoded, NOT anomalypool.com

So should I continue to mine at anomalypool.com , or wait for that node to be setup?  I have been mining fine there, all day, and I've been receiving frequent payments. It seems to be correct.

It looks like mine went on a little fork from 18:01 untill 19:13. It was mining continuously but the coins between this time didn't appear in the wallet, strangely at 19:13 one again appeared again the wallet again. I'm trying to re-sync the Wallet again, but lost the connection to my Remote Comp...I was in the process of shutting the miner down when I lost the connection:I'm unsure if it's still mining at the moment or not...Hopefully I'll get the connection back shortly. it's been almost 45 min. My wallet has been running smoothly for days now and I've kept up with the updated nodes and wallets. Not sure what's happening at the moment.
I've forked twice today already, even when just using a clean install of CGA, and whatever nodes come with it  Undecided   This is probably why it is best that op waited before posting to an exchange.

addnode=148.251.15.235
addnode=88.198.198.94

Two nodes of the most secured ones, tf2honeybadger`s

Thank you for posting this. I re-did my config with just these 2 nodes, and it seems to have corrected my problems  Grin

It seems my problems with the pool are not over  Embarrassed So, I mined over night, and have been consistently mining, but I have not received a payout from http://anomalypool.com/ since 9:32 EST.  I have re-installed my wallet, and it is up to date.
Stop the wallet. Remove all nodes in the .conf-file and delete your block chain files and peers.dat. Start the wallet again.
Already did it, I am not off the block chain.

What's your CGA address?

http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/CryptographicAnomaly/q/addressbalance/AM5hLYx4e3XWtE9sudLm8nFtQMSJa4sCWm
This is your balance, can you check it with your wallet's balance?
I am short coins.  I have updated/reset my wallet 3 times, and I haven't received payments.  Is it possible that I am connecting to bad nodes, then?

It would seem that http://anomalypool.com/ has been down since 10:32 EST  Undecided

As far as I can tell, anomalypool is just fine. wzttide's node is still connected to mine and communicating. Are you getting some kind of error? if so, could you share it?

It was accepting information, but there was no payout to my wallet, or any shown on their website for about 40 minutes (for anyone in payout).  It would appear all is well again.

My belief is that if it the coin doesn't hit any exchange, people will stop mining it, and coins will merely be exchanged for minimal amounts by those who have given up on the coin, to those who are already mining it.  People who missed out on the first week of mining may, unfortunately, look at is as a missed-opportunity.  There needs to be a public value on an exchange for there to be incentive for new members to mine it.

Having said that, it's just my 2 cents, and I'm absolutely not bothered, either way.
