Well, I think that presumes people have time to follow the thread the whole time and very likely they don't.

Time is also an investment, if you don't invest the time to follow the thread, you may lose some return. Let's hope the losses aren't that substantial. Probably one Chinese GPU farm been soloming from the start on the wrong chain and has 10000 CGA.

Yeah, well if they have then they are gonna be FUBAR'd aren't they ... I'd still donate but i don't think my 10% will go very far ... Wink

Though to be clear my concern is mainly with individuals not farms or major operations - basically those mining with a few hundred KH/s.

Question for wzttide - I notice that my payments very frequently (though not always) arrive in "pairs" - i.e. two absolutely identical amounts a few seconds apart - is that expected?

How do I check whether I am forked?

If expected p2pool payments stop coming in and it is still synced to a network you are probably forked. You can check getinfo and getpeerinfo for clues too.

As long as you mined on the correct block chain, your coins are still attached to your address.  If you install the new wallet, and insert your wallet.bat file (your backup), then you will get all your coins in your wallet.

10 Feb 2014 UPDATE
Please note there are a small number of known issues with the current versions of the wallet/client (Cryptographicanomoly-Qt.exe up to v1.1.2.1).
We strongly recommend no one use or install a local wallet until we are able to release a fix.
We expect to release the fix either later today (10 Feb) or tomorrow (11 Feb).  Once tested, released and available we will post here and on the website (CGAnomaly.com).

Mining:
Solo miners should stop mining until the new client is released.
You may continue to mine safely on the anomolypool P2Pool."

Small typo - and on the front page - should be Cryptographicanomoly-qt.exe not -gt.exe

pools are robbers at low difficulty,
they take from poor and give to rich.

i don't think i could get more than 2 coin/day if i was mining with a pool @440 kh
