Don't cry later. Smiley
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: August 18, 2020, 07:59:30 PM
Idena seems pretty interesting. Going to read more about it for sure.

I bet people heard about it now. Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 06, 2020, 10:43:52 AM
There's a current task of creating 3 flips may I ask what will happen if I don't managed to comply with this task until validation?

It will all look normal during validation ceremony but since you're not eligible for a validation (cause your "current task" was not fulfilled), it will show as not passed afterwards.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 04, 2020, 09:36:15 AM
after a while, number of validated identities is down, it is not much, from 2710 to 2677, but that is a stop for continuous up-trend, that was struck only by block error five epoch's ago
what do you think is a reason, just summer vacation period or there is more to it?

I'd say it's price.

People don't want to "bother" for 30$ a month. For 50$ maybe. Smiley

But possibly not even cause of current price, but because of lost hope that the price will go up from here.

Mining with laptop or mobile phone isn't recommended for years now.

...

Read above this post, so I don't copy myself.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: July 28, 2020, 02:15:30 PM
I dont have the financial capacity to mine bitcoin. Is there anything I can mine profitably using my ordinary electronic gadgets like laptop, mobile and related stuff?

Laptops usually lacks the GPU power that is required to mine a good coin solo unless the coin is new and not much people know about it and for that to happen you need to be very lucky.

Do you people not read or just choose to ignore it regardless?

IdenaNetwork (idena.io) needs no GPU power, needs no CPU power, only needs half of a brain and a working internet connection.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: July 19, 2020, 07:50:29 AM
Mining is very competitive, so in order to collect a reward, the miner will need to be able to go through those random inputs as quickly as possible. Hence why choosing hardware with higher hash rate is extremely important for successful mining. Thats way a little bit expensive for Btc mining. May be Ethereum mining..Of course I want to mining with my laptop but we are in 2020.

And with Idena it's not competitive. Anyone has the same chance (not even a chance, it's a sure thing).
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: July 19, 2020, 07:48:34 AM
Think that all those projects use Ethereum (not sure about all of them, but know that Aeternity and Enigma firstly listed as ERC20 tokens) for ICO and give tokens to buyers, and trading starts for ERC20 issued tokens. And here we have native coins, not ERC20 tokens.

I don't see a problem to create ERC-20 placeholder that is pegged 1:1 with real DNA just to allow it being traded on big exchanges safely (if it's not safe with real DNA now - which i doubt). You could exchange your real DNA in SC for ERC-20 DNA. Just like we have ERC-20 BTC or BEP2-BTC available on binance dex. It is not difficult.

That sounds cool.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: July 18, 2020, 08:09:42 AM
The difference is that Idena dont have any value on exchnages while MASS is trading around 0.22$. Thats why I think MASS is a better option when compared to Idena.

Idena has a price of 800 sats (0.07$) on qtrade.io.

You can:

a) make $50-ish a month if you sell after every validation (and that works well for 2nd and 3rd world countries),

b) HODL for, IMHO, imminent boom in the future.

Either way, there IS a value. How much MASS can you mine per month on a laptop?

News (next changes/propositions) from july 15 AMA. For those who wasn't present i have short summary:

...

What are your thoughts?

What I liked the most was my suggestion about invite distribution being implemented in the next hard fork. Smiley

As for the rest, it's too early to tell what impact will it have on Idena.

But AMA was quite good.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy these altcoins!!! on: July 16, 2020, 06:24:23 AM
I rather buy these coins: Chainlink, Tezos and VeChain. According to this article these coins have been on a rise this year.

Does this mean they'll continue to do so? Of course not. It could go either way. It could be that they reached the peak and are going down or they could go up more. You can't tell just by looking at the past performance or we would all be millionaires.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: July 15, 2020, 06:43:06 AM
For people starting mining in 2020, there is no better option than going for mining MASS on your laptop and computers. That's a great way to learn and earn. I am mining it on my laptop reward is a bit low but its fun to see how this works.

With IdenaNetwork you don't even have to use your CPU or GPU. Just some of your time once in every 2 weeks, when validation ceremony day comes.

Any CPU-minable coin will have those that use high-end CPUs vs those that use a laptop.

In Idena, there's no difference. Only thing that matters is YOU, a person, compared to a bot.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: July 15, 2020, 06:38:34 AM
My strategy : buy with all you savings which you can afford and HODL. When the bear attacks, buy and the again HODL
Good strategy and l prefer also buying any coin at a low price and hold till price increasing, then sell them. Maybe it is the best strategy, but during this time it is so hard to find any coin which can be profitable in the future. For that reason l prefer top altcoins, l think if you can be enough patient you should collect some top altcoins like ETH. That is why top altcoins are great choice for long term investing, it seems price increasing will take a long time.
Actually if you will ask me it is a good strategy or not, my answer is it is not a good strategy. It is not even a strategy, probably the creator of this thread are basically making money from it because of luck. HODL is not always the answer for us to earn a lot of money, there are a lot of factors that should be consider when you will do HODL like time, allocation, stop loss levels and many more.

HODL is a decent "strategy" in an "ever-growing market" like crypto, but once in a while, dips will make you lose all your profits and set you back for a year or so. Someone who bought BTC at 15k before the ATH (so not even at ATH), and HODLed since, was pulling hair at every drop, down to 3k, and is still to get into profit zone, prolly not for at least a year or so.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Some Alts for long run investment. on: July 13, 2020, 09:09:22 AM
New coins are the biggest risk and the biggest potential profit.

It's almost like a bet with high quota. You just don't invest a lot in it but even a small investment could give you big profits. And you won't lose much if it fails.

Check IdenaNetwork idena.io while you're at it.
Only if you invest a small amount, like pennies. But in investing, you'll mostly invest with higher amount so that you have the chance to earn big and there's no guarantee on it. I will encourage others to invest even if with small amounts just to take the high risk.
It's better to invest with knowledge although the amount you are investing is small, which can minimize the risk as you invest.

Not pennies, ofc.

But if you'd invest amount of X in steady, established coins, then you surely can invest X/10 or X/20 in a new but promising coin.

Cause even the first one is a gamble, only with better odds. But 10x or 20x more exposure to risk.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Some Alts for long run investment. on: July 12, 2020, 08:59:18 AM

The new coin is always a risk, we should always choose the old coin which has completed their product, old coins will have higher chances to increase their price along with the Bitcoin price. If we are looking for long term investment, we should leave them until we make some decent profit. Choosing wise coins will always help us to learn new fundamental analysis about the coins.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: July 12, 2020, 08:46:51 AM
The rule "one bad flip no rewards is insane", sometimes keywords are that random that it is impossible to connect them into a story and admins encourage people to report such flips, which leads some people to report half of the flips. I will be back when you change this rule if you ever will.

When you get back, validation reward for Idena will prolly be 1 DNA instead of current 56 DNA, so you're better off just buying it on qtrade.io if you can't bear to cope with sometimes hard keyword pairs. Smiley

I would recommend to sell all your DNA... to me. Grin

Thank you all!

Keep 'em coming.

Well.. since this is main-test-net Network is understandable that the software is not flawless so we need to live with this.
I like the new wallet feature: Collage tools for making flips. Pretty handy when making flips at first sight (didn't used it yet).

Collage tool is awesome.

I made a joke flip using it. Tool was not very well used by me but a first try, anyway. Smiley

btw where you find the twitter screenshots (last screenshot)? It seems binance verified the twitter account.

They never post a link, they post a screenshot which is photoshop-ed to their liking
