Is there any other market taking its place (so i can change my signature so its accurate) or its bittrex for all erc people now? Keep up the awesome work! (and finally i got some friends on the erc train aswell! tried for a long time but now they finally seem to start understand it)

New Blocks have been found.
Everything OK on the Pool, and block explorer is following blocks.
I would say it's back to normal.
Yep, looks good. As for the wallet RPC call delays, there has been a lot of DDoS activity on exchanges and other crypto services lately, so it's probably related to that. Back to updating the client for me then. Hi. First good to see your still here working hard, and im very happy to see its progress. Great job. Been away for months without any access. Now 1. i saw there was a new wallet in some posts earlier, will it come as a ready compiled windows file aswell? If so when? Or please point me in a direction so i can make it work on my windows 7 machine. And 2. since i tried starting up the regular wallet yesterday when i got back home it didnt sync completley, first it stopped on block 869807 and i had it on over night it got to "synced mode" with block 869875 but hasnt moved since and when i tried restarting it saying out of sync and XX hours behind but never seems to catch up? still on last block 869875 just the hours behind that gets larger when i restart wallet after hours of nothing happening? Is it a ddos again thats messing it up like a saw a few pages back or is there something i can try ? Is it working as it should for everyone else? i just noticed on yobit that they had the wallet as "delayed". Edit: 2. nevermind the wallet, Its synced now and explorer shows same block and seems to be running as smooth as always. just a bit of hiccup again from large mining capacity hit`n runs and/or ddos like i saw earlier in the thread then. is there still a well functioning and relyable miningpool to use, or is it possible to solomine it? Hey, the Windows wallet can be found here - https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/smc-0.11.3The blockchain has had some hours of lag every now and then, due to mining rate fluctuations, which has been discussed here a few times. The best way to fix it is to get a Baikal X11 mini miner, as with just 150 MH/s it can be resolved. I haven't been able to find a non super overpriced one. Solo mining with a Baikal is probably a good option, but if there's any need for a pool, I've found https://smc.miningfield.com to be the best option (there are several others available, listed at the top of the thread). If renting a rig at https://www.miningrigrentals.com, please note that only pool mining is available. The update to the 0.11 code base has been done, which can be used to make further improvements. I would like to see changes such as stopping the mining process when transactions are not occurring, as well as the expansion of infrastructure and the building of applications. Perhaps it may be possible to have access to more engineering resources if I get around to it. I am busy with some other things now, working to produce a hardware wallet for one, and may be gone for a while. Thanks for staying with SmartCoin! Thanks for the quick response. and thanks for the links to the new wallet aswell will try to get it up later tonight. Hmm i actually think a friend of mine has a Baikal just put aside , dont think he has used it since they bought the house, So if he still has it (more meaning his wife didnt throw it out) i bet i can get it for a good deal if that is sufficient enough to solo mine smc with, i will surely try. Dont think i can get a hold of them until later next week since they are on holiday now . And im in Smc from the very beginning, im not leaving anywhere!

Same here.. the swap was not trouble free but honesty of the team managed to overcome the situation.
No concerns as far as I can say...
OK. Has staking for v2 stopped @ 1st of august? nope explorer says its still goin on, though i consider the network getting weaker and weaker. Didn't you swap jet? Why? have fun Matthias :-) I wanted to know my balance so I consulted explorer first. It says my last transaction was 1st of august so I thought it ended there. Wallet needs to be open for staking I guess (I think it indeed was like that), but obviously I can't open wallet so my balance is what it has been since 1st of august? yes, i suppose, if you had your wallet close, you didn't stake and if nobody else sent you money (would be on the chain) what you see is whats your balance. (if i understood you right) You can see many transacktions after August, if you would have had some, they would be among those. Chain still seems to run, but WHY don't you swap your coins? You understood correctly. I wanted to check my balance first and since it didn't show any staking I needed to confirm if staking was even going on anymore. Well it is, but wallet is down so I can't do the staking. Is it a) it's a boohoo, those unstaked coins are not going to happen? b) Chris can do the staking? c) old wallet will be fixed and I can stake and do the swap myself? Hmmh. In terms of the unconfirmed/claimed stakes, at least someone has to stake your wallet, to harvest these Coins. I may be able to answer with a more helpful solutions later, when i found a way, that would make sense for you. For now, my wallet is that far out of sync, that it will never catch up in a network. as weak as that. Christ has two active running wallets, but can't risk to stop them, as long as the Network needs them to stay alive. IF he will be able to help, it will be at the end of this swap. Different situation is to swap the existing Coins in your wallet. If you don't manage to get the old wallet running, chris will be able to help. have fun Matthias Bummer, sounds like "a". :/ Any ideas yet? yes if you or i dont find anybody to use his working wallet (as i said, chris may be able to, at the end of the swap period), or your are not able, to get your client fixed, there will be no more option for the unclaimed stakes, but still an option for the already existing coins. Did you try by using a fresh blockchain from: http://cryptochainer.com/dir/?page_id=881 ? Some reported this to be successful. good luck Matthias . I downloaded that blockchain but I can't run my wallet so it hadn't got much of purpose. Dunno if I should just try asking Chris if he could do the staking but but.. I guess he still has his wallets running for some else purpose? Did you have working wallet? Hi. I just wonder why you focusing so hard on trying to stake your old coins, instead of trying to convert the coins you have to the new ones before it will be to late/ hard to do it. If you wanted to stake you had all the time in the world before new one was released, see the possible staked coins as gone (kinda is a reason why all others didnt wanna wait it out and stake as much as they can on the old one before they did the switch ) and focus on getting your actually coins swapped before old chain colapse would be a much better thing to put your focus on.

I like it aswell, thou i could see a benefit from a little higher "lock in reward" since the coins reduce in numbers and pos reward, why should i lock them in for a set amount of time if not for a more appealing reward (at the same time less coins will be on the market hopefully for the better of the coin )

That is a good sound here...yes me way is new for ERC but I think that is a good solution. I have make lots off tests with the old blockchain and wallet. And the core from ERC is is flawed and we have a many errors in the chain. Only a few hotfixes from version 2.0.1.0 make it possible that the wallet runs. And i have set for this a function until Block 1 Mio. The new update 2.0.2.5 extended this function until block 1,2 Mio. This error is a big problem for the chain. Also the switch back to pos not helped. Which is one of the error (Error). ERROR: ConnectInputs() : e48ebdbc54 prev tx already used at (nFile=1, nBlockPos=465270769, nTxPos=465274924) ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : ConnectInputs failed e48ebdbc54 ERROR: ConnectInputs() : 867dd6269e prev tx already used at (nFile=1, nBlockPos=465270769, nTxPos=465274924) ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : ConnectInputs failed 867dd6269e ERROR: ConnectInputs() : e04e126386 prev tx already used at (nFile=1, nBlockPos=441960160, nTxPos=441960318) ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : ConnectInputs failed e04e126386 ERROR: ConnectInputs() : 2855d7cb6d prev tx already used at (nFile=1, nBlockPos=464660559, nTxPos=464660717) ERROR: CTxMemPool::accept() : ConnectInputs failed 2855d7cb6d I think the best and surest is a swap in a new core and hash algo. Erc is currently X11. Best Regards Christian well im not yet sure of all the changes that wanna be done, but if there gonna be any im more positive for a clean and easy swap, old wallet has a bit to much problems and fully understand the ones taking it over from someeone else not easy to rearrange all code and make it fit new purpose and still make it managable. with a swap new (and planned implementaions) can be handled much easier in the future as well.

i think u missunderstand the nature of POW mining as most people see it
mine altcoins is just a way to earn BTC
this means a high percentage of POW coin rollout is direct sell pressure
the nature of POS that coins produce coins give buy coins and stake coins sense
and there is absolute nothing wrong with a codebase that forked from bitcoin 0.8x
it can pretty easy be upgraded to 0.9x too (and be honest what bitcoin ability that 0.9x didnt have already u need for ERC u will find none)
a codetree reach sooner or later a state where he is so different from bitcoin base that it have to be seen as a own tree
and that is true for PPC/NVC tree which all the POW/POS hybrid coins are based on
if u go POW the best advice i can give u is to make the POW coinrollout as low as possible
trust me 95% of POW miners dont care for the coin just the BTC they can sell the coin for
and ERC is not in a state to counter that constant sellpressure
to have more different people involved at ERC POW mining isnt helping at all
what u need is investors not miners
investors buy miners sell
its that easy
/Agree on another point, why is the staking reward so high now? read something about an increase, so that means that the total coin supply has been increased aswell? whats the new speccs then? and since i downloaded new wallet only got 4 connections, is that only because not that many installed the new wallet yet? and do i have to have the new wallet right now for everything to work properly? (in that case an hint about the upd being mandatory would be great so i can help some others upd to latest one asap)

WoW! nothnin, nothing then everything at once! Im not at all read up on hodl? and how that works so with that said i think a change can be good (in some direction) back to pow? again would need some more information on how this would be managed before i say yes or no.. leaning a bit against it now thou, as long as the current coin coint in total dont change and there still well be room for the ones that invested in the coins on the old specs (total coins, pos, and so on) and they still can be accounted for maybe it s a good idea? Waiting for more info on how to and something to read up on first. ( new wallet version, with struggle is a thing we dont need again thou. )

Guys i still have problem wallet with instaler stuck at block 254837
ERROR: AddToBlockIndex() : Rejected by stake modifier checkpoint height=254838, modifier=0xbbb66c4098c49e9b ERROR: AcceptBlock() : AddToBlockIndex failed ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED trying connection 109.86.163.180:2828 lastseen=6.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 212.25.58.47:2828 lastseen=21.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 47.208.180.164:2828 lastseen=17.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 188.78.221.62:2828 lastseen=10.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 137.135.57.119:2828 lastseen=14.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 85.180.234.225:2828 lastseen=13.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 85.240.75.83:2828 lastseen=10.9hrs connection timeout trying connection 87.143.226.177:2828 lastseen=14.8hrs connection timeout trying connection 89.160.194.106:2828 lastseen=2.5hrs connection timeout trying connection 95.76.145.63:2828 lastseen=14.0hrs connection timeout trying connection 89.160.194.106:2828 lastseen=2.5hrs connection timeout trying connection 178.150.87.107:2828 lastseen=9.1hrs connection timeout trying connection 213.242.28.12:2828 lastseen=35.9hrs connection timeout trying connection 89.160.194.106:2828 lastseen=2.5hrs connection timeout trying connection 223.74.46.172:2828 lastseen=6.5hrs connection timeout trying connection 119.81.84.252:2828 lastseen=29.3hrs Flushed 58 addresses to peers.dat 7ms connection timeout trying connection 178.150.87.107:2828 lastseen=9.1hrs ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=686ed8ae907d4722b750 connection timeout
that sounds odd, you have to give it time, it just looks like it stuck but since it have a lot of orphans and other blocks to pass thru it will take time before it starts again. as long as you have new wallet, right .conf file and see you have connections, just let it stay open and it will eventually catch up. ( i have synced it on 4 windows 7 x64 systems now , and even thou it takes time all of them are synced, staking and works. )

Thank you for reporting, no the chain is still the 2.0 chain this was not a hardfork. SERVICESof course we keep services up to date. Some already upgraded, but nonetheless, i made a second notification round today to all services, nodes, exchanges and blockexplorers. I highlighted also the urgency for those, who didn't upgrade yet. Because this time are more behind then normal i assume, the endless upgrades and failures of recent weeks, made them first watch a day, if this one works . This may be the case especially for those, who don't feel, they are having issues with a version that is running at that time. This was my first bug with the potential thread of destroying the network and the coin. I am confident to hopefully handle this with a much more cooler head, next time. It was a quite shuttering experience, from time to time, to see over a year of fulltime work possibly going bust, i have to confess. Anyway it was the most effective crash course, i ever had, now i know in depth, how my coin is functioning, there is always a bright site STATUSeverybody who thinks he may have ended up on a wrong chain, please type "repairwallet", close it, delete your peers.dat and change/add our nodes using "connect" instead of "addnode". Then restart and wait. If you are not running ahead of us, it will mostly find back itself. If it does not find the right chain, checkout our new installer, it has a turnkey ready chain included. After the wallet returned, switch back to "addnodes" doing everything vise versa. I checked statistics this morning and we are approaching the tipping-point where 2.0.24 are being run by the majority. This can caurse the old wallets to misbehave and to bring irregular behaviour into the network, when they are still nearly 50%. As soon as the majority of new wallets will grow further, this will stop. At the moment you can see the result in the chain randomly speeding up and then slowing down to nearly zero and then speeding up again. You can help to stop this quite easily, if you have a working 2.0.24 Wallet, by staking like hell and therefore strengthening the network. thats it so far have fun Matthias .[/size] Ok thanks for the reply and clarification! And sorry if i sounded harsh, wasnt my intention at all, i think you all doing a great job. keep it up and this will be a succes.
