Every good altcoin which create something new about blockchain will co-exist with Bitcoin, but for the moment they are all link with XBT value, so if it failed they'll failed too.

Nice project but... $231M... How many people invested for a quick buck ? And why the hell a guy who did not invest in a first time will buy token after an uncaped ICO ?

For a small amount of altcoin you can afford the risk to keep it on echange. Some wallet are hardcore to sync with the network et very buggy. On exchange you'll be guaranted to be in the main blockchain and have access to your coins. But for TOP 20 altcoins it's worth to sync their wallet and store your privates keys locally.

A little funny thing with transparent blockchain, is that you can directly watch the wealth of other people... And the amount of money is just HUGE. With only $86B total crypto market cap.

You convert FIAT you pay taxes. Holding crypto is not very a thing, you never have your coin on your wallet, you just have the private key wich allows to contral that coins. You lose your wallet/private keys the coins are not deleted, they become out of control.

I think some scam ICO are a really noob trap/net because when you start in cryptoworld you are very manipulative and you give easily your money for dust project. It takes really long time to become skeptic and saw the real opportunity behind each ICO. And even with that time you could sill be wrong sometimes :/

Cryptsy went under about 1.5 years ago. He claimed that the main wallet for the site was hacked, so he had to close down. Others say he ran with the profits. Either way, pretty sure I won't be seeing any of my missing coins again. If you joined in the class action lawsuit, you might see something yet.
20 ltc is like what, 800$ if that. i doubt its worthy joining a class action lawsuit Number is a strenght in this case...

Mmhhh... I suspect some "airdrop" coin to have keylogger... I was hacked a few years ago and I am pretty sure my critical security breach was to run every wallet from new "free" coins. Sadly on Windows with "exe files" and not source code you will NEVER be sure of what you are running. Be careful guys. I prefer air drop with sidechain (ethereum, counterparty...).
