Sometimes the price is not correct. See screenshot. There are sales shown for 115.00, but the current price says 116.00.

So no more BitStamp support since the redesign? I don't see it listed even in the fee list. On the other hand it is mentioned in the FAQ. But on https://www.bitinstant.com/ under "Transfer Funds" it is not listed as source neither as destination. Will it be back?

There is some bug in the order book chart: http://bitcoinity.org/markets/btce/USDIf I click the minus sign, the vertical scale goes from 0-100 to 0-15, when it should go to a larger scale. See images, before: .... + = Zoom In - = Zoom Out Seems to work ok for me. It works OK now, but on the posted images it is obviously wrong. The bottom image apparently has the y scale set to the "buy" (green) line (you can compare it to the upper image, the extreme point is in both on about 129,35 BTC (x-axis) and 15 (y-axis)), while "sell" (red) has much bigger values the the y-scale of 15 and is out of graph range (for example at the price of 131.0 BTC you can see in the upper image that the size is about 60-75). In short: the code to determine the y range took the "green" value instead of the larger "red" value.

Is anyone else seeing this on mtgox, when doing a bitinstant transfer from mtgox? When creating a ticket (for bitinstant.com) , in the second step the page says: [I18N:copy_create_ticket_partner_click_to_valid]
It seems a translation text is missing, so the code is displayed. I have english and the rest of the mtgox web page is displayed properly in english. Only on that page it seems a text is misisng/wrong. To clarify, bitinstant.com redirects me to a mtgox page, where the amount to transfer is entered and a submit button is visible. This page is OK. After submitting that page, a new page appears (still on mtgox) that shows the above text and an OK and CANCEL button beneath it. The rest of the page (menus, headers, style...) is normal. Just the text in the center is wrong.

I got a reply from them after reporting an issue, to my email. The message contains an URL to the case where I should be able to add more comments. The URL is like http://support.bitinstant.com/customer/portal/private/cases/xyz(xyz is the case number) When opening it, it throws me to the main page: http://support.bitinstant.com/Is this some temporary problem on their side? I also tried to reply by email, but got no response for that. Any idea what to do next? The problem is a wrong (invalid, so the funds wont end up on someone else's account) destination account number in a transfer I made. Regards, David

I mentioned it already in this thread, but I guess here is more audience: a similar service to transfer bitcoins between markets? because the regular way by BTC transaction can take an hour or even more. Thanks in any case, David

Last time for me it took 5-6 confirmations which was about an hour.
Maybe an idea for bitinstant&co

On a related note: Is there a way for quick transfer of bitcoins between exchanges?
The normal way (a regular BTC transaction) takes 30 minutes or more, depending on .... stuff.

There is sometimes missing a period of data from the graph.
It happens when I close Firefox and later reopen it (with the tabs I had before restored).
It seems the page remembered the state from last time and then continued to add new data. So there was a gap in the graph (data from the period when I had Firefox closed).
Selecting different period sizes (M15, M5, M3....) does not load the missing data. Neither does clicking the Reconnect button.
If I refresh/reload the page, then the new graph shows all data. But then I lose the accumulated lines in the "Time & Sales" table...
I believe the page could detect such a condition and reload the graph data by itself.
Thanks for the great page, by the way!

I bitinstant operational?
I got some Internal server errors recently, also the country list sometimes shows just about ten countries.
When it worked, I tried to send from a Bitstamp voucher to MtGox account, but it failed : Bitstamp API failure
Other weird things: - the documentation on MtGox says for bitinstant funding that the account number (like 12345) or username (like johny5) should be entered, but the bitinstant page asks for "MtGox Account # (ex. M12345678X) " - I guess the mtgox documentation is outdated?
- when sending to Bitstamp, it asks for "Account ID or username" , but bitstamp has no username, just account ID (number)
- I see no way to send to BTC-E (it is not listed in the "Pay to" menu), but the BTC-E site claims it can be funded over Bitinstant. Was this feature removed from bitinstant recently?
Thanks for all answers, David

Congratulations on the "Times are shown in users local timezone" feature! Every web page should display times like that! A minor addition, especially as most websites don't do this: either keep this fact mentioned on the page somewhere (like "all times in UTC" as used on inferior web sites) or maybe even better a "current time: xx:yy:zz"* somewhere, so the user can see that the time is same as on his wall clock (and also doubles as an indication whether the page is alive or frozen). * just hour and minutes might be OK too Regards, David PS: How does this forum handle his issue?

I still get "Topic reply" mails into my gmail Spam folder. Last one an hour ago. I marked them as "Not spam" now.

Wow, so my datadir went from ~7GB to ~13.5GB.
Is there any of this that is deprecated and can be pruned? I regularly backup the entire datadir and having it double in size in one day as opposed to over a couple of years is kind of harsh.
You can remove blk0001.dat, blk0002.dat, blk0003.dat and blkindex.dat from the data directory after a reindex is complete and you are caught up with the blockchain (and you don't plan on going back to an older version). Only blkindex should actually be using disk space, as the old BLK000x data are moved upon upgrade, and the blk000x.dat files you see there are hardlinks (shortcuts) on any filesystem that supports hardlinking. That is why this should be clarified in official documentation. To clear up contradicting information on the internet.

Hi! I missed this information from the release notes (README.txt), found it later by googling, maybe it could be added to the official docs: - updating on Windows when not using the setup.exe but ZIP version: shut down old bitcoin-qs.exe then just copy over the new one (like on Mac or Linux) - the disk usage apparently doubles due to hardlinked "copies" of the data files If I understand correctly, the "old" files (blk0001.dat, blk0002.dat, blk0003.dat and blkindex.dat ) can be deleted without any ill effects. Why are they left there anyway? For compatibility with v0.7.x in case the user wants to revert? Another thing, the notes say: Mac and Windows binaries are signed with certificates owned by the Bitcoin Foundation, to be compatible with the new security features in OSX 10.8 and Windows 8.
But opening the file Properties on bitcoin-qt.exe does not have a Digital Signatures tab. Also running it on one Windows PC brought up a warning dialog, saying the file has an unknown publisher. Is it some different kind of signature? Regards, David
