1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: October 31, 2014, 12:36:38 PM
What is wise. Sell a NEMstake or redeem it?

How much NXT will it be worth after launch?  Tongue

thats a good question  Cheesy
how many time remains to redeem Nemstake on AssetExchange?

a good while anyway.

I am too lazy to DL the blockchain on my NXT client again, but are they still trading nemstakes on the AE?

uhm...but after the official release, does NEM can be traded directly with BTC?

no one know the answer to this question? Sad

Hmm if am i right NEM will be trading on Poliniex after official launch
I believe major altcoin exchange Cryptsy will surely prepare NEM-BTC trading market.

where did you get this information? that would be awesome news
AFAIK Cryptsy implements just about any currency.

We need bter.com and btc38!

Do you have news now about exchanges at launch?

What is wrong with Cryptsy again !

I can't believe it. Is it really happening Huh

"Important System Notification

We are currently diagnosing a network disruption. Balances may be incorrect at this time. Trading and withdrawals have been disabled until resolved. Thank you for your patience."

jl777hodl is up >30% and still undervalued. Should be over 5.6 NXT/jl777hodl and there are still assets to come (for free). 6 NXT/ jl777hodl would be a better price!

I hold already and will rebuy some!

If your looking for other coins that have had takeovers for inspiration or ideas on what to do and not to do look at silk coin. They fixed all their issues have voting platforms coming out, coordinating giveaways etc.

Silk coin is somewhat similar to Cinni maybe some cooperative work could be done with them to keep both teams moving. Just a suggestion.

I find this suggestion very interesting! We should work on it

when would be possible trading BTC LTC and USD on NXT asset exchange?

BTC/LTC when multigateway is launched (they are talking about launching a public version of MGW as we speak, it has been in testing for a couple of months now)

USD will be available through once Nxthaus is set up and running (still a couple of months away, I believe. They are awaiting the approvals)

Sorry for posting this old talk...
The multigateway looks very promising! Mg will be visually improved, or remain only as simply asset?

There will be minimal fees to use MGW and these will be shared with MGW asset holders. So if you think it MGW will be successful, you might consider buying some (Check the Asset ID before buying, I think there may be only one MGW on the Asset Exchange at the moment but there could be imposters cropping up soon so always check when adding new assets).

MGW is now on the mainnet (has been for a month or so now but still in beta) and has a fancy user interface now too.

There is a MGW user support thread here for more help>>>> https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/multigateway-user-support-thread/

Beginners might want to use the MGW Lite >>>> https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/(beta-m08g5)-multigateway-gui-release/

If you use MGW, start with small amounts. Remeber these are *real* Nxt, BTC and LTC that you are trading, redeemable for the actual amounts of BTC and LTC. Have fun  Grin

Thank you for explaining! Already tried out the mgw on client, but it is too confused! Imo the surface should look like an exchange, then it would be a really success!

Yeah I just lost all my coins too... Well... they've been "unconfirmed" for 2 days now. Same problem as described above.

Good thing they were only worth about $6 by this point.

What's the reason for  Huh

Is there an ETA for multigateway? Or what do you think?

Thank you, that's very interesting! Can you tell me a serious VPS provider?

Monitor http://directspace.net/webhosting/vps/inventory.php for DSVPS.1 because now it is out of stock. I use them.
Also you can check periodically http://lowendbox.com/ http://lowendstock.com/ http://poiskvps.ru/

Do i need for a specific data volume, or is 128mb in the year enough?

Cheap VPS?

sorry for my ignorance

Yes, you will need a host that will run your NXT software instead of your own computer. VPS is a virtual private server, they can be rented for $5-10/month, and you can run NXT on it and access it with a browser from anywhere in the world.

Thank you for all the replys!

at work I can not install the next client! Is there a possibility for forging anyway? Online Wallet?

It's a little more complicated but doable in a safe way.

Here is how you can do it safely:

Suppose you have all your NXTs in account A.
Create an account B.
Send 2-3 NXTs from account A to account B.
Get yourself a cheap VPS.
Install NXT on this VPS and run it with a SSL option.
From your home PC lease forging balance from account A to account B.
Log in to your NXT running on a VPS over https:// with the password from account B.
Then simply close the browser, it will keep forging with your leased balance from account A.
That way you don't need to send your password from account A over internet, even though it's a SSL connection and should be ok.

Or better do what achimsmile said above, it's easier that way Smiley

Cheap VPS?

Sorry  5,1 NXT per block  Huh Huh

When there are more transactions in the network and 1 NXT costs more, it might be profitable. Under 2 conditions: 1) you buy as many cheap NXTs now as you can to increase your chances; 2) you keep your NXT running and forging. Think of investing into NXT as buying hardware for Bitcoin mining if you like Smiley Even if you don't buy many NXTs, you still can get lucky, you don't need to run anything else, but your computer, which you run anyway. All you need is a browser. When you switch it off, you switch it off, when you switch it on, start forging and maybe you get lucky. You can also lease your NXTs to a pool and get steady little profits.

Thank you for all the replys!

The only online wallet currently available doesn't currently support forging.

Can you not just leave your wallet open and running on your home machine?

no, I can not install any programs! Is there any possibility?
