All the profitability on the pool is shown against Litecoin.  Is there anyway of seeing what coins were mined for how much each day as I don't think just mining Litecoin and converting to BtC is the best and as a multipool, I would expect to see changes through the day.

I know the website says that we mine many coins, but I would prefer to see which coins were mined and for how much of the day because at the moment its looking a bit like we mine Lite only and convert to Btc.

I spent some time playing this morning..

I did notice that the difficulty rate varies wildly around every 5 or 6 seconds  shooting from a difficulty of around 9 to around 940 in some cases..  whilst the charts are showing reasonable rates, the gridseeds are jumping around all over the place on difficulty and the no of accepted blocks between new blocks being detected is awful.

I would suggest the difficulty is still changing too fast and is too inclined to go harder..  there was one period where 8 new blocks were detected before any of my 5 gridseed 5 chip units could get in an accepted share and during that time the difficulty jumped all over the place as the new blocks were detected.

Just my 0.02 mBTC worth.

M

oops EDIT...   it may be I was playing at the same time as you Terk..  let me leave it running a while and see what happens Smiley

Can 1 Pi running this miner handle multiple types of ASIC,  eg  Gridseed 5 chips and a Fury?

Awesome.. whilst I am moving to mostly hosted with GAW.. I do have some gridfurys at home.

When and where can I buy? Smiley

wow, has a lot of stuff been moving to Slushi's today?  the 30 min average on the hash rate has gone from  1896324.170 Ghash/s   to  2075661.190 Ghash/s  during the day.

At this rate, I will have to rethink an Antminer S2 I was planning to purchase and wonder if its worth spending the same on a big Scrypt ASIC and selling that for Btc instead.

My payout in the last week has dropped from 0.0056 per block to 0.0042.  Agreed it should mean more blocks found but todays rise in hash rate is huge Smiley

So whats coming?
I heard rumors they're launching a game changing project soon.

Will be interesting..

I cancelled an order this week outstanding with someone else for a bitcoin box in the hope that this would be something special and the money is burning a hole in my pocket, so I hope it's not a long wait.  Time is money in this game, but based on service and approach so far, I'll risk that return for working with a good company Smiley

If I were you I'd just wait for them to launch this new thing. From what I heard you won't have to worry about ROI, damaged equipment or price dumps anymore. Just where to direct your hash power.

Thats exactly what I am hoping, along with someway to keep upto date with equipment so all I have to worry about is who is getting my hashes and preferably on both Scrypt and SHA..  but I am probably dreaming Smiley

I am hoping the refernce to Prime (Optimus) is that the equipment will be auto changing to maintain current status and relative power:)

Apologies, my theory was sound, however in this case Slush made compensation adjustments, and now my reward for 22106 is about 1% above my 'proportional share', which is within the common variance.
I hope that your reward got fixed as well.

Cheers

No need to apologise, I agree with you and had mine only been around 10 - 15% I would have assumed normal variance as well Smiley

Yes, it has been adjusted, thanks to Slush..  its now back inside normal variance.

Interesting how much the pool size has grown over the last month..  just that rise in itself has lowered the whole average reward some 15% or so from a couple of weeks ago..   Good to see the arms race is still fully funded Smiley

My payout was lower by 18% relatively to the proportional number of my shares.  A possible explanation to this is a sudden rise in the pool hash rate towards the end of the block, which decreases the payout of all the other miners (but at the same time make a significant contribution to solving that block faster).  Let's try to illustrate this with an example:
The pool hash rate= 1800000 GH/s  Your hash rate=200 GH/s your expected reward=0.002777778 BTC
Now assume that Miner X joined the pool with 200000  GH/s a few minutes before the end of the block, due to Slush's 'anti-hopping' algorithm, Miner X's contribution receives almost full 'weight' despite occuring towards the end of the block, so the increased short-term hash rate at the end of the block is now 2000000  GH/s, your reward drops by 10% to 0.0025 BTC.  This is not due to any 'fault' at Slush.  Actually it might have been caused by a technical or other problem on one of the competing pools, which caused briefly a massive shift of miners to Slush as their 'backup pool'.
Just my 2 mbtc.
Enjoy the recent burst of solved blocks, which more than compensates for that 'disaster'...Smiley

Cheers

My understanding was that the calc, assuming you are mining at the time the block is found (you havent had a blip in providing hash rate etc) is  my shares / pool shares * Block Value..  for a rough calc.  (not deducting fees here)

therefore for block 22106  :-

22106  2014-05-19 16:30:41  11:23:16  18010425802  3586935   0.00206705  301575  25.10258983  97 confirmations left

which makes the calc 0.0049994

The three previous blocks using the same calc would have been :-

22105 I get  0.0048193
22104 I get  0.0049920
22103 I get  0.0049467

All very similar and in fact almost identical to what was paid out, as were the 4 blocks post 22106

Whilst I appreciate your point about another pool jumpin in, to halve the rate paid it would have had to be approx 1872607.589 Ghash/s jumping in..  approx the rate when the block was found I believe, to drop it 50% and the your shares / total shares dont give those values, and we have also had reports of people getting double payout on that block, so something is not quite right.

This has been happening a lot since we moved to 60 minute averages, in fact one block, for me, dropped from .0048 as the calc to 0.0009 as the reward.

Whilst I appreciate your suggestion, I think something more drastic happened in this case and may be symptomatic of other blocks like this in the recent past.

I know it's not a huge issue, but when you only make 0.1 BTC a week (on average), it's a bigger deal Smiley

Regards

M

PS  dont get me wrong, I love the block count this weekend, and I love this pool, but if theres a possible issue, I think it's only fair to investigate to see what actually happened.

I have to admit, I was concerned about going with what to me was a new company, but I have been really well looked after.

Many times things can go wrong,  we are all human and equipment is not always 100% but i have been really impressed by Jeff and the team wanting to make sure everything is right and working properly.

They really have gone above and beyond to make sure I am a happy customer, and I am.

I will be ordering more stuff from them shortly Smiley

I have noticed that since around the time the total average hash rate changed to the last 60 minutes, the shares per worker display has become erratic.  It used to show any change at each page refresh, and the number of shares always increased steadily until a round ended; now the number updates only after an interval (I have not yet determined how long) and the number of shares sometimes falls:  for instance, just now when I refreshed the page one of my workers fell from 1933 to 1931 shares.  Some minutes earlier it had dropped from 2053 (and now I see it has fallen again to 1905).  The round and block number (299880) had not changed, the Mhash/s for each worker is within the expected range, and the time since the last share is usually zero.  The estimated reward also fluctuates wildly: while I have been writing this it has varied between .00002876 and .00007421.

Could this be anything to do with the high variance in payments per round that I am experiencing?  Has anyone else seen similar behaviour?  Huh

Not sure, but over the last couple of days, I have noticed the same...  I only have just under 400G/hash but it varies regularly between 0.0009 to 0.0062 expected block payout and the block payouts do match these figures that exist when the block is found, but the G/Hash rate is staying constant.

I'm wondering if the anti-pool hopping mechanism is being a bit too vicious.   I know that if I turn off one of my antminers..  the expected payout drops in 2 minutes or less as if it had not been running at all even though the desktop is still showing a lot of residual shares.

When it first went to the 60 mins, I wasn't having an issue with the payout, although it dropped fast when turning a machine off, but these last 2 days its been all over the place and I am seeing pretty constant hash rates and the counters are all saying 0 minutes, so it's not stuffing up on network transmission.

I just started mining 2 weeks ago and wondered about that aswell. My shares will not go pass a certain number and like you, mine go up and down. I just thought this was the norm. Hope we can get an answer as to why it does that.

The amount of your share is affected by the size of the pool. It goes down when more people join the pool and goes up if some leave.

Yes, am fully aware of that and have no issue with that..   its the variance on a fairly consistent hash rate (within 2% )  that changes the expected payout from 0.0009  to 0.006 in less than 3 minutes when the pool size remains the same.   It just seems very twitchy since the last updates.  Prior to the 60 minute updates, it varied, but not by much.

Having said that, looking back over my previous 20 or so blocks, its kinda evened out, but theres still been some blocks where the reward has been 0.002  and some that have been around 0.005, still seems a little twitchy to me, that's all I am saying.  I am guessing that the more machines you have, the less it will vary, but having just a few bits and pieces, its become very noticable.

I have had the same issue the last 2 days as well. Same ip as above, a restart of my ants or cgminer/bfgminer cures it. My miners are in 3 different locations, running differnet software and on different ips all using unique Worker names. Antminer S1, BFL LS, BFL Jala and Red Fury's.
Out of curiosity, do you have Teamviewer installed?

I'm a bit more active on this on the Eligius thread, but I don't have TeamViewer installed.

-Dave

Not been affected yet by this, thank you for heads up, but what I have done is put a block in my router from communicating with that dot addy, so hopefully the worst that would happen now is they would go offline rather than mine for someone else.
