It's simple arithmetic, don't hold new altcoins for long, they can fetch you good amount of money but sooner or later they will become shit coins, if you want to hold for a very long time hold the best coins, BTC, LTC, NEO, ETH, XMR

Right now you should be fine if the DeFi project you choose isn't running on ethereum smart contract, that's where the issue with high gas fee will rise, to avoid this make sure you go with DeFi projects that have their own blockchain or running on other blockchain that isn't ethereum

Lol I used to dream big with new minable altcoins in the past but today my view about them have changed, there is nothing that can make me change my mind about new PoW coins, I will never direct my hashing power to any new altcoins because I mined over 30 different new altcoins years ago and all of them except three is still alive today

That's because you are using the GPU for display mode, meaning the display is eating less hashrate from he gpu, the solution to this is to plug in your display cable on the motherboard itself not the gpu for display and the graphics cards will be free and perform fullest to the max hashrate

How about conflux? I'm not sure if gtx970 will be good on octopus algorithm, that coin is very profitable and almost near the profits you would get when mining Ethereum, way better than ETC, Zhash and ravencoin
