guys remember https://cryptostocks.com/ ? i guess they closing up shop. i can still find old alcurex listing there ( https://cryptostocks.com/securities/90), you can see what the price was trading back then. seeing alcurex survive that to now is pretty impressive. just another testament to the devs. the only gripe i have is the millions of MicroCoins lost through the transitions, and it seems there's not much use for them now. How about doing what cryptopia is doing with DotCoin, for new coin listing voting, or something like https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/TermDepositand another look back in my history, this was my first post: I traded about 11 DRK to about 1 LTC to about 1.1 million MRC couple of nights ago, hope I got in at a good time.
I am also interested with CPU mining tutorials on Linux. Thanks!
ah the memories... https://media.giphy.com/media/AjkUQrzvs5OCc/giphy.gif![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2FAjkUQrzvs5OCc%2Fgiphy.gif&t=663&c=NIiYpJSGj2HwDA) *spelling and stuff.

just got the rest of my ipo GOLD too.
i understand it's tough to please everyone and live up to the "Golden" standard of currency. at least the OP has been pretty straight forward and have launched this coin as promised.
now it's up to the community to push the coin and determine what the value should be.
if not, then at least have the patience to let things come to be.
the OP technically don't owe us anything anymore. just our trust that he'll deliver more features and more ways to let us help push the coin in the future.
just keep trying your hardest.

|
|
isn't there already a coin that's trading as ECC on mintpal already?
|
|
|
the OP has delivered so far. the only thing left now is the big dun dun dun...exchange rates.

Just tried solo mining. couple blocks found, but all being rejected.
Rejects are getting a bit better for me with blocks still coming. If you got a reasonable hashrate stick with it for a bit and let it play out. Difficulty is climbing though and unless it settles solo mining will be futile for most in a couple hours. Finally got one! yay! yeah, gonna stick to solo for now. still bunch of rejects, but some getting through.

A little interesting tidbit I saw on /r/bitcoin today.
April 5th, 1933 – U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs two executive orders: 6101 to establish the Civilian Conservation Corps, and 6102 "forbidding the Hoarding of Gold Coin, Gold Bullion, and Gold Certificates" by U.S. citizens.
More on executive order 6102
"US President Roosevelt declared a national emergency and issued Executive Order 6102, making it illegal for American citizens to own gold. Hoarding was prohibited, and citizens were ordered to redeem the gold for the official price of $20.67 per ounce.[20]"
April 5th, 2014 - "BitGold released...GOLD hoarding begin once again".
|
|
|
In the description it mentions
Max bars: Only 501,000
Then at bottom it says:
"BitGold will have a maximum of 20,000 to make sure it is low in comparison to some of the coins already out."
so..20,000 what?

I think I finally got it. that error was only a warning. it's still the same compiler error I was getting all this time. But finally after taking these 3 lines from this Primecoin tutorial: http://www.davidedicillo.com/developing/how-to-mine-primecoin-xpm-on-the-cloud/adding: sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=64M count=16 sudo mkswap /swapfile sudo swapon /swapfile
then make the file. This will allow it to compile all the way.

|

I reopened the file and specifically saved with LF only and it worked fine.
how do you do that exactly? I tried :set ff=unix in vim and still giving me error.

Hi guys, so after I followed the instructions here: http://microcoin.alcurex.info/how-to-install-microcoin-on-linux-server/I was able to finally get pass the "boost" compiler errors. But now I get this error: main.cpp: In function âunsigned char GetNfactor(int64)â: main.cpp:995:76: warning: format â%dâ expects argument of type âintâ, but argument 2 has type âint64 {aka long long int}â [-Wformat] g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus) Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.6/README.Bugs> for instructions. make: *** [obj/main.o] Error 4
any pointers? getting closer. *btw, I think it was because I was using Ubuntu 13.10 last time that gave me the boost compiler errors. I used 12.04 this time as the instructions said, and it compiled a bit further.

any thoughts on the GoldBars we mined from the previous launch?
can we trade them in or GDB is pretty much on it's own now?
Well we can trade them in at a % rate depending on how much you have. i have about 0.3 GDB. mined up till you guys decided to relaunch. thanks for offering to trade them in, even tho i don't mind keeping them for collector's coin =), handling this relaunch very well.

I'm looking for some coins which had less exposure lately and are not that well know , but with a small community still active , anyone still interested in this?
Nyancoin is pretty undervalued right now I think, and the community is small and active. Can use some extra exposure. Dynamic coin had one unique feature i liked, the scaling block reward with scaling hash power. too bad it just had so many problems at launch. i think it should just be put to rest. i'm still shaking my head with the "B" start address.

Anyone else getting trouble login into scrypthp.com? I just started mining a bit, and now I can't get in. Still have some BTB there. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) they seem to be working now, thanks.

Looking for some basic info.
Whats the maximum number of BTB that will be mined?
What does the POW/POS pay?
Thanks,
I'll try to find the exact numbers sometime this weekend but I believe it was 500 000 coins total through PoW and then something like 5% PoS/year but I'm only going off memory and will try to dig up the proper numbers this weekend. Low 1.5% Fee BitBar pool - BTB.SCRYPTHP.COM - MPOS on fast secure servers!
