2  Economy / Scam Accusations / onehash.com scam report - impossible return/bet loss on: January 15, 2020, 08:18:40 PM
What happened:

I placed a very small bet (around £3.50) so don't really care about the amount here or if I even get the bet refunded but I would like Onehash to clarify why my bet resulted in a loss and who recieved the winnings in the following instance.

Onehash works as a mutual betting platform where you bet against other users and Onehash take a cut of the winnings for providing the platform, today I placed the first bet on an e-sports game (https://www.onehash.com/event/e_sport/csgo/2020_iem_season_xiv_katowice/310991/) and when the match started I was the only bet on this game which meant that my possible returns was 1.00 (no profit) as seen in the screenshots below or if I was to loose then no party will get my winnings and I guess they go to Onehash?

Under these circumstances where only 1 user has bet other mutual betting markets would cancel the event, however Onehash kept the event open and resulted it in a loss so I assume they got all the winnings without having any risk.

As stated earlier I would like clarification from Onehash on what should happen on instances where only 1 person has bet? What is the reasoning for not cancelling the bet? If I was to place a larger bet of around £100 on a sporting event and no one else backed the other team would Onehash just keep the loosing bet?

Dear Customer,
Now I understood what do you mean. If you bet on the team that lost, you lost the bet.
If you have any questions please, do not hesitate to contact us any time.
Kind regards,
OneHash support.

But nobody bet on the other team I was the only bet on this game. As you are a mutual betting platform and not a direct bookmaker surely I must have someone to bet against, who has won my bet if I was the only person to place one?
Eric please can you confirm, I normally am first to bet on games but will avoid doing so in the future if I run the risk of either loosing or getting only my bet back when no one else places a bet.

Dear Customer,
According to the screenshots there were 1 Loser and 2 Winners. Please double check it.

(The 1 - 2 they refer to here is the final score and not the amount of bets, not sure what the support agent means here)

3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: onehash.com scam report - impossible outcome of bet on: June 27, 2019, 02:48:46 PM
I have just received an email from onehash regarding this and have been provided the winnings from my bet so this is now resolved, looks like a bug on their system.

You must had read the rules i guess, which clearly says all 1X2 bets are settled on final outcomes, i.e after ET and penalties.

If this is the case then the draw should never have been an option and if it was (such as other bookies had it) then it should have been a result at FT or Overtime as a draw is impossible on penalties

It's confusing to me. Here is what they say,
Quote
Football events are resolved based on the final match outcome (after extra time / penalties if applicable).

Meaning they consider extra time result and even penalty shootout too. Then why is this draw market for football matches? It make no sense to me.

For example: https://www.onehash.com/event/sport/football/concacaf_gold_cup/273258/

This was also a draw match. But if this match was to decide by the extra time or penalties then what happen with the draw market?

I hope the support will give you a satisfactory answer.

Do you work with onehash? Looks like you do from the signature, if you also agree this was a draw please can you contact whoever is running support? I'm unable to get any answers from the live chat and no response from email yet.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / onehash.com scam report - impossible outcome of bet on: June 27, 2019, 01:06:27 PM
What happened:

Yesterday I placed a bet on Jeonbuk FC vs Shanghai SIPG FC in the AFC champions league for the result to be a draw. Due to this being a knock-out game there was an option for it to go to overtime and penalties so the draw was either for full-time or overtime.

The game was 1-1 at Full-time and remained 1-1 at the end of overtime, it then went to penalties and Shanhai won on penalties.

The first goal was by Kim Shin-wook at 27 minutes for jeonbuk then second goal for hulk at 80 minutes for shanghai and that was the only goals in the entire game excluding penalties. There was a 1 - 1 aggregate score from the previous game which was also a draw.

Onehash have settled my bet as a loss (and others) saying that the result is based on the final score after extra time and penalties, if this is the case they never should have provided an option for a draw because that's an impossible outcome. All other bookies and results sites have settled the match as a Draw with a Qualification in penalties.

As previously verified, it is stated on OneHash that "Football events are resolved based on the final match outcome (after extra time / penalties if applicable)."

09:04 AM (them)
Is there anything else I can help you with?

09:04 AM (me)
So then why was a draw advertised?

 01:13 PM (me)
A draw is then impossible?

 01:13 PM  (them)
There could be a draw because the first match ended 1-1 so if the second match would have ended in a draw different than 1-1, (2-2 for example), the match would have actually finished in a draw. The bet was for this particular match, not for the whole round.

01:31 PM (me)
but the score in this match was 1-1

01:59 PM (them)
As you can see on the event page. Football events are resolved based on the final match outcome (after extra time / penalties if applicable).

Their argument is that due to the first game ending 1 - 1 the second game ending also in 1 - 1 is not actually a draw but 2 - 2 would be a draw, I've watched football all my life and the logic behind this makes no sense. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this?

I have emailed this scam report directly to Onehash and also provided a link on live chat, their response there is this, the support agents name is "Jacek Heroes" if that's actually his name:

You have the right to complain and post on forums but understand that you bet for a specific event and you accepted the rules of futebol and OneHash.
