1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solana airdrops speculation on: February 06, 2024, 01:41:34 PM
I think you forgot to add Parcl to the list of Solana speculation airdrops. It’s usually an RWA project on the Solana chain.

They are now on Season 2 and is highly speculating an airdrop due to the points system they have either by providing LP, trading and referrals.

You can check it here: https://app.parcl.co
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy on: January 17, 2024, 12:57:07 PM
If I only had that extra money, I would buy these coins for 2024:

1. TIA
2. INJ
3. OSMO
4. ATOM
5. SOL

I’ll just diversify them at least $100 worth each.

I am speculating that these coins will be having the most airdrops of 2024 for those who are staking in various validators (not in the top 10 or any greedy validator owned by CEXs).

I’ve already staked some TIA, INJ, OSMO, ATOM and SOL but I want to add more. These are the mid-term coins that I am planning to DCA this 2024 with my extra “not beer” money as I believe that this would be the airdrop season on top of the much-anticipated Bitcoin halving.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NFTs worth millions of dollars were stolen just now on: December 16, 2023, 01:20:54 PM
Source: https://twitter.com/punk9059/status/1736003743123132878

Honestly, I really felt what the victims have felt today in this massive hack. Their Christmas is ruined while the hackers are celebrating theirs in advance.

Those who have interacted with NFT Trader platform and have forgotten to revoke access before this incident happened were most likely got drained with those highly valuable NFTs.

Web3 still has long ways to go in terms of security. So far it's the most important of all the blockchain trilemmas that needs to be addressed seriously and for years it still has vulnerabilities.

This is truly heartbreaking indeed for us to see these highly valuable NFTs being compromised and drained by the hackers.

As security measures were in place, it seems that the hackers are just one step ahead countering that roadblock and bypassed it.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 16, 2023, 12:06:10 PM
I don't want the year to come to an end without having any Bitcoin. I have seen a lot of people here talking about their bitcoins and how their investments are going. The thing that gets me depressed the most is when I hear about the halving next year and how bitcoin prices may be influenced positively. I wish i could just have some amount of Bitcoin. However, seeing the price of bitcoin now i became restless if the price will soon go higher and i may not afford it. So i pleaded with my parents if they could support me. Seeing how curious i am they helped me with some amount in my local currency so i used it to buy Bitcoin. Help me thank them for what they have done for me. Am so happy right now.

This is the amount in my local currency i believe it will get me up to 90 dollars of bitcoin. I am waiting for my friend who will help me buy it by the weekend.

Thank you mom, Thank you dad. And thank you Bitcointalk.

First and foremost, you should have censored your transaction ID to have some privacy. But I guess it’s too late now as there are more readers already seen your screenshot and may have silently saved it.

But yeah how I wish our families are supportive when we are about to start our Bitcoin journey. Not me however.

I was broke for years before I got into Bitcoin. My parents were not supportive of my journey and my career direction as I wanted to be a freelancer and network marketer than working in a 9-5 job in either private or government. They’ve never stopped criticizing me for years due that I am struggling in my finances and never had a stable client.

Until I got silently into Bitcoin and cryptocurrency where I self-learn about trading and other earning opportunities and it’s where my life turned around. I’ve never asked them for money when I started with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but at least of what’s left of my little extra money would do as well as utilizing my skills for opportunities like airdrops and bounties.

Fast forward to today, they have no problem with me now and just simply doing my own thing because of the unlimited opportunities in this space.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Binance is cutting some XRP and ADA products on: December 16, 2023, 11:32:07 AM
Source: https://www.binance.com/en/feed/post/1405120619530

Okay so these 5 pairings will be gone after December 22nd:

XRP/BTC
XRP/ETH
XRP/BNB
ADA/ETH
ADA/USDT

But I am not sure about the other pairings though. As I have checked in Binance, currently XRP has 11 existing pairings and ADA has 10.

Since my cousin has XRP holdings in his Binance account, I think it’s time for him to move his XRP holdings to another wallet because of this latest move.

Correct me if I am wrong, but only certain pairings will be removed? Or XRP and ADA will be totally out of Binance?

Would like to hear your thoughts about this guys. Thanks!
7  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Stables Wallet on: December 16, 2023, 11:22:32 AM
I created this thread to inform other Filipino forum members who might have missed the post of @cheezcarls regarding the Stables Wallet.

Download lang ang Stable wallet by clicking here.

More details:
1. Need KYC
2. Withdrawal method (wallet address, bank account, e-wallet)
3. Fee = 0.25% (up to $10) + network fee

Sa ngayon GCash at Maya yung main e-wallets ko na mag withdraw from crypto to fiat kasi natakot pa ako if mag diretso na agad to bank.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scroll NFT mint is Live claim yours on: December 16, 2023, 11:14:03 AM
I’ve minted mine last night and it’s Quintic. Good thing that my wallet is eligible because of successfully deploying a smart contract on this chain despite my transaction and activities are not that much.

This could be a potential multiplier for a future airdrop if they would ever release a token. Although I do not see any guarantees or promises at all if there would be a Scroll airdrop, but I am betting on that chance even if it’s just very slim.

I believe that I still have long ways to go though so I would be doing more activities in the Scroll chain with my extra “not beer” money for spending gas fees, etc.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 14, 2023, 04:38:14 PM
Bitcoin is now one of the most popular and well-loved coins around the world.
Ever since Bitcoin was created, different people have been researching Bitcoin in different ways.
Bitcoin is now accepted in almost all countries of the world. There are even many countries where Bitcoin is being taught in different ways, especially in El Salvador we have seen such cases.

picture collecte

Likewise, the efforts of a nine-year-old boy living in the UK show that Bitcoin is for everyone and that Bitcoin education is for all ages.

Decentrasuje's son Henry, who lives in the United Kingdom, gave a lecture on Bitcoin to his classmates in an engaging and entertaining presentation where he discussed Bitcoin in detail with his classmates.
Asked why Henry is so curious about Bitcoin, his mother said "Henry is surrounded by Bitcoin. His dad and I talk about it all the time. There's always a Bitcoin podcast in the background and Henry often asks the question 'How does Bitcoin go up and down?'"Read:
I think this is how I will teach my child about Bitcoin.
I have a child that I want to raise from an early age to experience Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Now that he is only 6 years old I think he has enough time to learn.

This also reminds me of a colleague of mind who is still a college student but is already having a Bitcoin-related workshop of his own where most of his students were pretty much older than him.

Even if I am at least more than a decade older than him, I am still eager to learn a lot of stuff coming from him as his expertise is more into technical analysis, spot and futures trading.

I can envision it one day that we could see more youngsters in schools teaching their classmates (and teachers) about Bitcoin.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚨🚨🚨 DON'T USE ANY DAPP(Ledger's ConnectKit library compromised) on: December 14, 2023, 03:39:34 PM
Don't interect wallet with any dapp because because Many applications haa been compromised and news comes that users wallet hacked while using Revoke cash. Wait for further details

This is biggest hack of the year as it's not limited to one particular project or contract, The whole Ledger labrary has been compromised. Panic sell started already but hope all will be normal in 24 hours. All Bitcointalk members especially airdrop hunters kindly be safe and don't use any dapp.

Quote
Warning: Multiple popular crypto applications that integrate with Ledger's ConnectKit library, including Revoke.cash have been compromised. We temporarily took the website offline as we're investigating further. We recommend not using *any* crypto website at all while this exploit is ongoing.

The drainer actually pops up on top of the real Connect Wallet.

You will still need to connect and sign before get drained, but it’s better not to test as one can easily overlook while connecting with real Dapp

Twitter X: >https://twitter.com/iambullsworth/status/1735290127847415832?t=Lv6vV8_qZYUXy4XvcKECeA&s=19

So it pops up on top of the main pop up. But if you close it, will it automatically appear again right? If those people who were not using common sense and was just simply in a rush to connect, then most likely they get victimized and getting their wallets drained once and for all.

Even if they say that it’s under control, I’ll just pause DeFi activities for a day and see what happens. I manually disconnect my Metamask in all Dapps for now. As for my Ledger, it’s completely safe because I didn’t touch it for a very long while.

Both Web3 and DeFi still has long ways to go to become relevant in terms of the security side. These hackers are not stopping as they became more intelligent and smarter over time, so we also have to upgrade our “common senses” too.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: December 14, 2023, 03:32:39 PM
There is no way that you call gambling a career. There’s no perfect strategy in gambling even if you follow countless methods on so-called gurus on Youtube and other platforms, the chances of winning are zero to very slim.

There are no guarantees or promises about the results in gambling, but it’s different in crypto trading however.

Some are calling it a hobby, but a high risk one which involves real money that you can afford to lose. We’re just all depending on the luck that we have if we bet it right no matter if it’s sports betting, roulette, blackjack, poker or any type of online casino game.
12  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: IMPORTANT: Ledger ConnectKit Library has been Compromised with a drainer. on: December 14, 2023, 03:21:16 PM
Most of the important assets are in my Ledger, but I’ve never connect it to Dapps as it’s only treated for long term storage. These hackers are getting smarter overtime, so DeFi and Web3 are still young and has long ways to go because of one of their major weakness which is the cybersecurity side.

On top of that, I have disconnected my burner Metamask wallet in all of the sites that I have interacted.

It looks like that the wallets implementing the traditional seed phrase and private key model are the most vulnerable of all and are targeted by the hackers whether if it’s cold or hot non-custodial type.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking SushiSwap, RevokeCash, etc on: December 14, 2023, 03:08:39 PM
@Altcoin_Alerts posted a warning about hacking popular decentralized apps. It is highly recommended not to connect your MetaMask and similar wallets to these applications at the moment.

ALERT: Couple of popular dapps including Sushi, Zapper, Revoke Cash & more affected a attacker injected a wallet draining payload into the popular NPM package !

Also, SushiSwap's CTO Matthew Lilley tweeted (X) that:

Do not interact with ANY dApps until further notice. It appears that a commonly used web3 connector has been compromised which allows for injection of malicious code affecting numerous dApps.

Here’s their new update just now: https://x.com/revokecash/status/1735308527814537525?s=61&t=6PFitUK4YQvupu3PxlJoIg

Good thing that I did not touch my Ledger for a long while. I’ve also disconnect my Metamask from all websites just for assurance despite that it’s just a burner airdrop wallet. So my funds are SAFU.

These hackers are getting intelligent day by day and they are smart enough to target one thing that connect all of the dots which is the Web3 wallet connector itself that was being integrated by most Dapps.

For now, I am stopping all of my DeFi activities until everything is alright as they said about not interacting for a day.

As Ledger was being targeted due to its seed phrase and private key vulnerability, I am thinking of transferring them to a different hardware wallet like Tangem which has RFC cards that acts as our own main feature for security and recovery and approving of transactions.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange withdrawal issues on: December 12, 2023, 03:29:50 PM
Hello
Where can I post issues about problems with withdrawals if the the exchange deals with other crypto then just BTC?
Having issues with a exchange called h5.multi-banks.com
Thier crypto bank has flagged my account as suspicious for arbitrage and says I have to wait a month or two before doing a withdrawal.
I had done several withdrawals to see if I could trust the site. There was also some issues with sending digital crypto to a coinbase crypto that was unsupported

If I may ask, who introduced or recommended you to this platform? Or you are just randomly searching and bumping into this suspicious fraudulent website?

By the looks of it, I assume that you were still a total newbie (not just in rank alone) as you are in a rush and not taking time to research first before engaging.

Sad to say that due to engaging in a fraudulent website where you do not have the control of your BTCs, there's no way that you can recover them where the ones behind it may likely going to shut it down and ran away with your hard-earn money.

Worse is if you have submitted KYC to them that would lead to identity theft. It's hard to accept this loss of yours, but it is what it is and we cannot do anything about it. This is gonna be one of the hard lessons that you will ever learn in the BTC and crypto space.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a quick rich and get poorer investment. on: December 12, 2023, 01:52:06 PM
Back then when I was still new into Bitcoin, I knew those trying times where most of my former colleagues in network marketing are criticizing and bashing me about getting into this industry. They think of it as a ponzi scam so their so-called "mentors", "coaches" and associates have unfriended me and spreading the word that I am now a Bitcoin scammer.

I was just sharing some good news about Bitcoin's progress in my social media feeds rather than joining BTC ponzis like Bitconnect, etc. But as the old saying goes that when a door shuts in front of me, another door opens. It's the best decision that I have in my life and fast forward to today I am enjoying my simple lifestyle in the crypto and Web3 space, and all thanks to Bitcoin where it all started everything for me.

Also doing DCA last year? I have no regrets. Bought them during the bear market when BTC is still around $19k to $23k in price and as of this time it's around $41,800+. It's all about my belief in Bitcoin no matter if it's a crazy roller coaster journey for us.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: December 12, 2023, 01:30:41 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.

The results will be mostly based on luck no matter what strategy are you trying to implement like martingale or so. Anything could happen unexpectedly without warning. Even if our strategies are working a bit, but not all the time.

Like for example in sports betting, I am having odds that a powerhouse team could easily topple a below average team, but the results are the other way around like an upset or so.

Expect that we lose most of the time, but a very tiny chance to get lucky. I've experienced that before when I lost a lot but at least one or two bets where luck is in my favor. It is all about only spending what we can afford to lose in gambling and not going all-in and way beyond our limits.

Discipline and control is the key.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest risk of P2P trade on: December 12, 2023, 01:01:36 PM
We know alrready how dangerous centralized exchanges can be = not your keys not your coins
But what are your most dangerous risks of P2P trade?
And how can we avoid it?

The biggest risk for me in doing P2P trade is to deal with someone who had no reputation or great feedback from real users. This is why in Binance P2P I always check the ratings and the number of trades of a merchant whether buying and/or selling.

I usually go for someone not less than 98% rating and has thousands of trading history and so far I have never been scammed even once. I usually deal with only a few merchants whom I trusted until today and so far no problems at all and may continue to doing so.

And I agree with the fact that centralized exchanges are not the ideal place for you to store your assets but only for spot, futures and P2P trading reasons.

https://news.bitcoin.com/el-salvador-introduces-exclusive-citizenship-through-1-million-crypto-investment/

https://adoptingelsalvador.gob.sv/welcome

Parang too much ata itong $1M para mangin citizen ka ng El Salvador despite commending them sa kanilang efforts na mag promote ng Bitcoin adoption. Pero not in my wish list na mangin citizen ako sa ganitong country.

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 12, 2023, 11:22:05 AM
Investing in land is probably one of the best decisions that you will ever made to be honest. You know why? The land's value keeps appreciating overtime and it won't be saturated in many decades and centuries to come.

One of my close friends has invested in a 200 sq.m. land just near the city's airport which is a good location by the way while she's involved into Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

If my wallet was not hacked sometime last year, I would have used some of my spare funds to buy land at a good location. But it's not yet too late though as I am saving up and allocate some of it to buy my own land.
