"no development, old codebase and slow wallet"
I'm actually still around (creator of clam here) and recently posted a updated client to github.. much improved. Put clam into a much newer codebase then the peercoin code it originated from.
Its still in beta, and ive been waiting to hear more feedback before pushing it onto master.. but if you check the releases on github.com/nochowderforyou/clams you'll see a new beta release for 2.1.0
all 3 of those points are kinda take care of there!
Glad to see that you are still around here on Bitcointalk. The Github repo says it is now a port of a newer version of the Bitcoin codebase. May I know which version of the Bitcoin codebase it is now based upon? And does it support segwit?

Big news: I just successfully downloaded and synced CLAM on my Windows computer in less than 24 hours with no bootstrap ...
This sounds great. May I know what improvements have been made to achieve this fast sync? And what other new features the new wallet will have?

what will be the way to get clam now? any plan to add the coin to any other exchange?
The developer of CLAM, xploited, is working on an exchange at the moment which will offer a BTC/CLAM pair. I think he's planning to launch it in the coming days. Having an exchange to be run by the coin developer is a very good news indeed. Because it will give more confidence for investors to buy or hold the coin. Look forward to seeing the exchange launch soon.

Poloniex: "CLAM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled as we work to find, test, and audit a solution. Thank you for your patience in the meantime."
Are they maybe finally working on a fix?
Wishful thinking. However, Poloniex did cancel our failed withdraw... so we got the coins back in our balance to trade with and have access to. Right now, the only place to buy and sell CLAMS is my Swap website. We are still operational even with Poloniex down. Just-dice also offers a free /escrow service for people trading OTC. FreeBitcoins.com is VERY close to having our exchange for BTC/CLAM complete as well. *knocks on wood* Look forward to seeing the exchange for BTC/CLAM from FreeBitcoins.com. Any ETA how soon it will be ready?

UPDATE: Newbie members can no longer add a signature because of the new decision taken within the Forum. The required explanation has been added to the bottom of the header.
Hello friends, I'm with another helpful topic. In this article I will briefly and plainly explain how you can change your signature or edit your signature. I feel like I hear people who do not know it yet try to do it for nothing, but I still want to give information for new friends. At least I think it would be useful for those who use the search button in the forum without hesitation and want to get information. Anyway, let's make a statement without going too far. Step 1: Click on the '' Profile '' tab. Step 2: On the left side we enter the '' Forum Profile Information '' section via the menu that appears. Step 3: We move the page down a bit and find the '' Signature '' box. Inside this box we add the signature code you want to attach your signature to. Step 4: We are at the bottom of the page and click on the '' Change Profile '' button. When these steps are completed, your signature will change immediately. Signature exchange is that simple and easy! NOTE: The whole process is quite easy and I did not add picture description because it is done with one click. Have a nice day! @xxx, @ xxx: Both of you have a Newbie rank, and since the 17/09/2018, are not allowed to have a signature nor personal text until you rank-up to Jr. Member rank (requires >= 30 Activity and >= 1 Merit). Read the following post to see the complete implications and reasons behind this measure taken by the forum to lower the degree of spam: Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements. As the above referenced posts states, you can bypass most of these requirements by acquiring a copper membership. Nevertheless, if you set your minds to it, earning 1 merit is not really that tough, although it will require some time and effort into the posts one makes. So I can't change or delete my signature now since I created it in 2017?? I guess you can, but not now. I mean you will be able to change your current signature after you upgrade your forum rank.

...... Are there chances to see CLAM hit its all time high in BTC pair around 0.0135 BTC in middle of 2015? I did not join crypto in 2015 so I don't know what happened with CLAM within 2015, and why the coin hit such very high price in BTC pair.
Everything is possible in crypto markets. CLAM is a solid and reliable coin. Price may, of course, goes higher when more people want holding it instead of selling it. But investment risk is always here. So never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Hi, I consider running Clamcoin service providing daily blockchain snapshots because its the quickest way to get new wallet synchronized. I had to recently re-synchronize my node and it was slow and painful process. So I can imagine that it could be helpful for a Clam newcomer to get the wallet ready in shorter time.
PROS + Wallet is synchronized immediately after downloading/unzipping snapshot
CONS - You have to trust that the snapshot is providing correct blockchain
So my question is - Do you guys think its generally good idea? - Is it actually running somewhere already and I just missed its existence? - Are there any drawbacks I haven't considered?
Thanks
Guys, can I get some feedback? Do you think its a good idea? Dooglus provide a updated bootstrap from time to time. I think that many people trust him and his service. Maybe it is a good idea to talk to him. I think Dooglus's bootstrap is great. It is not updated very often though. So it is better if the dev Xploited could also provide his bootstrap regularly.

- The non-staking users on QORA, A.K.A. 'holders', who have control over their own private keys, will be given a portion of the overall block rewards of the platform, paid to the users weighted based on the QORA they held. An overall percentage of the block rewards will be divvied out to these users, every block.
Every block? New Qora will be distributed to original Qora holders on every block basis? How this can be done? And after the new Qora distribution, will there still have any incentive to keep the original Qora chain moving?

My new CLAM trading tool Swap is starting to get a decent bankroll. This allows users to buy and sell CLAMS for Bitcoin and other altcoins. We've completed over 420 trades today! I think our "checkout" process is the best in the game... it's even better than Dominos Pizza's checkout. (here is a 1.5 minute video if you want to watch before trying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AJ2wNgfkR0) Sounds great. I like your statement that small purchases don’t require you risking your personal information. Where does the liquidity come from? Is it connected to other exchanges so that its price is matching with the market price?

The price of DogeCoin is still low, it seems to me that the DogeCoin will introduce something new into its technology, I do not know what yet, but this will be a strong impetus for the development of the DogeCoin coin.
What makes you feel that DogeCoin will introduce something new into its technology? Where is the source of the news you might have read? Better shows it so that the community can look into more details.

I'm sure I have posted this before, but it seems not everyone has seen it...
THERE WILL BE NO SWAP FROM QORA TO ANYTHING.
We have decided instead to utilize the existing platform to create the 'exchange' that will then play a huge role in everything else QORA core code is utilized for. Thus giving value to existing QORA......
I like the idea of proceeding without swap. But would you mind to disclose more about how the plan will give good value to existing Qora? If Qora core code will be utilized for a wide range of applications, existing Qora will then play a role in everything ELSE. It will imply a narrow range of applications for existing Qora itself, correct?

Liquidity there is a joke, and bid/ask spread is enormous. Much worse than it was at Poloniex. In fact, I like trading on Cryptopia more than Bittrex. The price spread is larger but this gives you some chances to earn from the spread. Liquidity still needs to be improved though.

How will Qora gen2 be distributed if there isn't a swap, are you planning an ICO now, or is distribution from mining now exclusively?
If Qora gen1 holders don't get any swap, what keeps the community supporting Qora gen2? I need some more explanation to be convinced with this plan.
I would think mining is the only viable way to start. This would be a great way to equalize for all holders of Qora v1 to get in on the new Q2 without a swap. And it sounds like any Qora Gen 1 gets to be a liquidity provider for Qora v2. If v2 would not be listed on any other Exchange and force people to use Q1 for liquidity. It is a great strategy. It only seems logical that there would be no need to have an Exchange list Q2 if a DEX is listing it on Q1. Now you don't have to worry about KYC/AML requirements and daily volume limits. snapshot is also not a bad idea for the transition v2, so much we have been talking about it for 2 years and no action here can be seen. I really have no patience for this project Snapshot is good provided that they make the v1 private keys compatible to v2. Then no one will lose any coin. This is the safest way.

230GB is nearly nothing to play with the others in this game! Come back with at least 50TB to get some very small earnings...
Ok, thanks. But still what is the reason for error on submitting nonce? And how much approximately it pays daily if you have 50 TB? Use this Burst mining calculator. Before you invest in 50 terrabytes worth of hard drives, you should have a good plan on how to plot all those hard drives lol. Thanks Calculator says that 1 TB's yield is $0.3/month So it doesn't make any sense to try to mine it =( You are right, but it is amazing that I can still see many users mining at this crazy pay rate. It looks like those users will still mine even if the pay rate continues to drop further.

finally at last we have HDD mining now sounds interesting but if that so what about 500gb space?
I have tried already with similar disk space. Rewards are so little. Now I wonder why people still mining BURST as it seems they are losing money (and time) on electricity/HDD/bandwidth etc. Maybe they just do it for fun.

All, this is the experimental Proof of Concept for automatic payment, confirmation, and digital product delivery. I will be uploading the script to our GitHub later, and Tim will do a demo video of setting up the script to accept payment. https://fourpillarsofbusinesssuccess.com/DNotesPay/You can make a purchase with DNotes of the book Improve Your Odds: The Four Pillars of Business Success in PDF format. Note: You cannot currently use the DNotesVault to pay invoices. Although this is experimental, it can be used now. This form of payment is designed for individual sellers, the hobbyists, those with limited resources, those with limited technical knowledge, content sellers, smaller transactions that do not require the protection that a formal commercial transaction may require. There will be other options for more commercial applications. Some of the features and benefits include: -Accepting payments doesn't require any account setup -Accepting payments doesn't require any real programming or specialized expertise -Digital products can be delivered automatically -Can accept payments in amount of DNotes or USD equivalent -Prices are pulled from CoinMarketCap API -There is no middle man -There are no additional transaction fees (other than blockhcain fee) -No setup or maintenance fees -Micro transaction capable -Borderless, payments can be accepted to and from anywhere in the world -Can be setup in no more than a couple minutes -Does not require a database -Minimal server requirements (it will work on pretty much any hosting out of the box) -Sellers will receive their payments immediately and be able to use their funds right away -Coders can expand, integrate, and adapt this method of payment to more secure, more robust, and more secure applications & More Setup includes: Changing the following variables $usd_notes = 0; //USD or Notes Payment config variable(0:usd , 1:notes) $amount_price = 9.95; // Amount to pay $tolerance = 0.1; // Payment tolerance $download_link = " https://fourpillarsofbusinesssuccess.com/pdfebook.pdf"; // Product url $confirmations_num = 0; //Number of confirmations required $short_description = "Four Pillars of Business Success PDF"; //Enter a short description of the product you are selling Add any number of DNotes Addreses Upload it to your web hosting. That is all. Should do a comparison to typical merchant account setup. It does sound great. But may I ask if it can be integrated in Wordpress? I mean something like Wordpress plugin.

I am hesitant to be listed on centralized exchanges, but will consider it if the opportunity presents itself on one that I believe will not be a scam in the future. Polo I don't like how they acted previously, however now that they're under new management I may consider asking them to re-list. Though I'm not 100% on that.
Then you probably wont get enough liquidity. Polo acted that way because allegedly client was broken. I'm not sure which conf you used, but seeing how many users complained as well, it's not unlikely that polo didn't actually have same problems. And it probably wasn't worth it for them to try to set it up properly because it was low liquidity coin in the first place. Do you know how much Qora is still on polo? I don't expect Polo is becoming any better after they are under the new management. Look at how they deal with their legacy account holders recently, and you will understand. If we go for centralized exchanges, Polo is not the one we should consider.

DEADLINE FOR SWAP IS MAY 15TH, 2018 11:59:59 UTC
Hi Dev, Your OP says deadline for swap is May 15, but coinexchange.io page says it is May 30. Which date is correct?

The DNotesVault Automatic Swap to DNotes 2.0 has been completed and no further action is required for DNotes that were held in the DNotesVault. However, any DNotes held in other locations such as exchanges, or your own desktop wallet, will still need to be swapped for DNotes 2.0. Click here for swap instructions. Thank you! I logged in to DNotesVault and see that the deposit address is changed. So I guess the swap of my coins is done. Question: Will coins on Dnotesvault stake automatically, or we just lose staking opportunities by keeping our coins there? Yep, all done. The coins will not automatically stake in the DNotesVault. They will however receive CRISP reward (0.5% every 30 days for balances that remained at the same address for entirety of the 30 days). I have to double check exact dates / blocks, but effectively no one will get the first CRISP payment as all balances have been moved. If you would like to stake as well as receive CRISP, you will have to withdraw your DNotes from the DNotesVault. We plan to release cold staking as soon as we can, once we do, that will allow DNotesVault users to stake and earn CRISP, while keeping their DNotes safely tucked away in the DNotesVault. It does not sound good enough. May I suggest to add staking on DNotesVault in the future? It should be easy to implement, and can help secure the network too. That is exactly what Cold Staking will allow users to do. I mean staking automatically on DNotesVault and users do not need to run their own wallets. Possible in the future?
