Open source the industry leading anon tech? Are you batshit coocoo?

That's like investors of Apple demanding to see the blue prints for the iPhone before smart phones were a thing.

These are blueprints to create a household name, (think skype app on iphone, droid, windows) anonymous decentralized communications network.

Not only does this communications network exist to preserve privacy of your voice, but also your spending. This technology is being tested and group chat is being added with improved stealth addressees this release.

Enjoy total freedom. XCurrency

IceBreaker, it sounds like you are intimidated by all XCurrency has to offer.

You said it yourself, those projects are OPENLY CROWD SOURCED.

This, XCurrency, is professionally CUSTOM CODED, IN HOUSE. So clearly the source code NEEDS to remain secure.

XC Might be PROFESSIONALLY custom coded, but nobody actually knows if that is the case. The tech is far from perfect, and XCHAT isn't finished which should have been completely working perfectly by now. I remember at least a month ago XC was supposed to start its whole bullet-proofing of code, but that is apparently not happening, because either blocknet is taking too much time, or they just don't give a fuck about XC anymore. XC needs to be open-sourced if its going to survive, or they need to actually start doing what THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO, and get XC's code reviewed by TRUSTED third parties in the crypto-community. XC is not fucking APPLE or MICROSOFT and it wont even climb to anything higher than it did in its first pump if the DEVS continue to do nearly nothing to improve the state of XC and its community. Seriously, I have held XC since the beginning, but this is starting to get fucking RIDICULOUS. Things the team has stated they were going to do are NOT getting done, and NO torstick really isn't that big of a deal, nobody is going to care except for a few XC community members, real announcements, would be code reviews, mobile wallet, open-sourcing, SOMETHING decent, not some torstick that adds nothing to XC's real value, its fucking TECH.

Hello,

I am unable to withdraw XC from mintpal...Any one has the same problem with XC in mintpal and what can I do to get them back?

anyone please

There have been quite a few people earlier in the thread saying they couldn't get out XC, but kept trying and were eventually able to pull out what they had in there. Just keep trying whenever you can, and possibly try the abysmal support of mintpal.. Sorry you got XC stuck in there atm, hopefully you're able to pull them out soon enough

The Top 10 richest address are moving their coins. So, these aren't panic sellers..

do you have proof mate?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/#!rich

Top 10 went from 31% to 28% in the last 3 days.

Mintpal is one of those top 10 wallets, 4 days ago "problems" with withdrawing funds from mintpal (causing even more panic than before , even thou i don't think its possible for more panic)

Most likely seeing mintpal funds being withdrawn in mass panic over last few days

Edit : also where is this going from 31% down to 28% in last 3 days?

Currently top 10 wallets apparently hold 30.80% ..............

That would be because a new top 10 showed up at #3 with 200k coins today=) whales accumulating

Things that make you go hmmm... this has been brought up several times and yes there is a plan for this

Glad to hear you say that! It would be pretty badass to have something in XC wallet where we could send btc to get mixed anonymously for a fee. A feature like this would be huge and XC is in the perfect place to be able to make it happen. hmmmm is very right....

Maybe I'm missing something but why would someone be enticed to buy XC if they can make use of XC's anonymous technology without having to buy/use XC?

Because XC nodes get the revenue.

And because everyone gets to see XC's tech winning (and therefore they start to use/buy XC).

(After all, why pay a Blocknet fee when you can avoid it by just using XC?)

Xmixers need a large userbase.

XC's market needs large volume.

XChat becomes more practical when everyone uses it.

ATMs integrate XC when lots of people want it.

BitPay et al. will be interested in XC as the leading Blocknet coin.

I can go on...

The Blocknet is the biggest thing to happen to XC, ever.

I think trustless mixing of BTC using XC's tech could be pretty awesome though too!!

Well what if the XMIXERS that we were running for anon transactions got fees from people using the XC network for trustless anon btc transactions. Thousands of btc users still need better anon solutions than the coinmixers they currently use or tolerate. The amount of traffic that would generate i think would definitely entice people to buy XC to run their own XMIXER for the fees generated from people sending btc anonymously. I have nothing but love XC and think something like that would easily bring hundreds of more users if not more in the short term, if it could be done, it would gather some huge attention from the whole bitcoin community...

Ok so then ATM withdrawal will be possible with any type of coin on the Blocknet using ATM's accepting XC(XXX coin converted to XC then sent to ATM).

I don't know about you but I think this is a major deal and should be advertised as part of the Blocknet rollout.

Will this(can this?) be automated through the Blocknet?  This would be a big thing in my opinion.  It gives XXX coin to fiat currency for any coin in the Blocknet.  This is a fond wet dream for any coin to have, and takes being in the Blocknet to a whole new level.  And OMG what a selling feature that would be.

Question for then Devs.

With XC current able to be used at ATM to withdraw funds, with Blocknet will people be able to use any coin connected to the Blocknet to directly withraw from those ATM's.

eg.  Coin XXX is on the Blocknet, they send XXX coins through the Blocknet and they get converted to be used with the ATM.

They'll be able to buy XC with their coins and withdraw XC from an ATM.

= More buy pressure for XC. :-)

Yes an automated exchange of coins is a central function of the Blocknet, since every service will be paid for by exchanging one kind of coin for another.

To give an example:
- XC user pays to use XYZ's DNS service
- XC user pays in XC but the XYZ nodes only accept XYZcoin.
- XC is automatically exchanged for XYZ on the decentralised exchange without the user's direct involvement
- and the service is rendered.

Honestly I think it would be pretty awesome to see XC integrate bitcoin mixer transactions into the XMIXER system so bitcoin users can have trustless anon transactions through blocknet or XC somehow. saw this thread and it made me think that would definitely be a feature that would put XC above most if not all Altcoins http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2jm2w7/psa_mixers_are_not_a_practical_option_for/

Something like that would instantly boost XC's use-ability far beyond most good coins

EXACTLY...  All these panic sellers are a freakin gold mine for me right now.

It's like Christmas for new investors  Cheesy
Bad day for weak hands though.

Elaborating to get out of some other investments right now to pick up 'em cheap XCs  Roll Eyes
Also trying to get some new funds in asap.
Looking at the development going on here I cannot understand anyone who thinks this price is not way below what it should be.

+1. Someone just dumped a nice big chunk into my buy order.

Seriously, in a few weeks if not less the people that got rid of their coins are going to be sad they did. The top wallets haven't been dumping so this is most likely just panic sellers. I have picked up quite a few extra in the dump action and dont mind it for now Wink

So, I've been away for 3 weeks now and I didn't touch my XC wallet during this time. It was last accessed and unlocked on the 19th of Sept. I come back today, unlock it and to my surprise, I've been getting more mined coins than I used to get. Is it because of their age? I've been staking since July..
]

Yeah absolutely, if you dont open the wallet for a while you stake more coins because of their age, and the fact they havent been staking for a while. Had this happen to me after a month of not touching my XC wallet. it was awesome haha

someone said that ITO will be before REV3 and TEKA said that REV3 will be in AUTUMN (50days left). So will it see ITO and REV3 in AUTUMN like you said TEKA ? or it will delay? because it seems that it will delay and its very sad and bad for XC!

Buddy, how are there any delays when no ACTUAL timeframe has been set for ITO and REV3. Until FIRM dates are set and passed without any updates, then there are no delays. People need to stop rushing or trying to move things along they don't control or don't understand. Building a business, as well as a coin as promising and featured as XC takes time and TESTING. They want to get things right, getting things right takes time. REV3 will get here when they are confident in the tech. Don't rush things that are being completely re-invented from the ground-up, just be happy your actually a part of it before it goes mainstream and gets BIG.

Good news, Bitcoin is rising again. Slightly.
I want to see XC rise, it's down for too long.
It will probably stay that way until at least the release of REV 3, how unfortunate that may be.

No way.  ITO comes before REV3.  I can guarantee a huge surge in price leading up to the ITO.

I remember DRK sitting at around the price XC is at right now for a few months before it shot right up. XC has better features and is still adding new ones every chance they get, the ITO and other things should reasonably propel XC past DRK and any other "anon" coins. Just takes time, and people want to be confident that XC isn't going to just implode as soon as they invest their money.

deposited a BTC on mintpal to buy XC... deposit still not showing up -_-

When i first deposited it took a full 6 confirmations for my BTC to show up in my account. But honestly right now mintpal isnt the best place to get any coins at the moment. I recommend either bittrex or poloniex to get XC

im slowly learning this lol.....wtf happened to MP anyway. I came back to it after a month and it looks completely foreign.....trex it is. My deposit showed up Btw. After doing minimal research ive realized mintpal isnt the best place to be trading. False alarm though.

Moolah.io bought them out after the whole vericoin disaster on mintpal. This is the new Mintpal, it was supposed to be a step up, Mintpal V2, but nothing has worked, and it has been plagued by ridiculous delays as well. Now nothing really works even though its released and has been delayed multiple times

wow....my BTC deposited on Mintpal but now my XC seems to be in cyberspace. I immediatly xferred my XC i just purchased to my other wallet and they are not showing up on the XC block explorer, or in the pending/withdrawal history under my Mintpal tab. I have the email that confirmed the transaction from mintpal, clicked the link and said transaction successful...Now the XC is lost in cyberspace as of right now. No trace of any withdrawals on mintpal. None on the block explorer...Waiting on a response.

Every time i have transferred my XC out of mintpal it has taken hours personally. I would do a support ticket just in case, but in my experience mintpal always takes way too long for withdrawals. Give it some time and all should be good.

bitrex is going to become the first xc  and alts exchange fortunately I withdraw all my oins from mintpal before the madness started...we got nice volume now

Bittrex and Polo are my 2 favorites, I just watch where's the biggest volume for a wanted trade... Bittrex has descend 2FA, Polo just captcha I believe

cryptsy has the hightest volume today more than 24 BTC

nope...Bittrex is now at 59 BTC Volume

Yeah volume is definitely starting to pick up. Which is nice, honestly no ALTCOIN deserves the attention that XC does in my opinion, nothing but professional since launch, and they actually deliver.

Someone is 100% buying and selling to them self on bittrex..

indeed, looks like he/she does like paying fees...at least pumping the volume gets XC to first page and increases visibility

Maybe some whales are getting ready to pump xc, especially in light of the upcoming ITO for XC inc

Smiley

1 XC = $100?

I can only dream

You may be getting ahead of yourself. It would be nice to get XC back to the $2 range in my opinion. It definitely deserves to be at least equal in price to DRK if not higher. XC in the $5-7 dollar range would be amazing i think
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 07, 2014, 04:21:30 PM
To be honest, I think XC is on par as the cryptonote coins(now), later it should be much better. It's exciting watching XC develop. Might be the next, new, and improved NXT.

In my opinion its feature set is a fair way beyond Cryptonote, with less bloat. Cryptonote's anonymity is not flexible, and this is the make-or-break factor when it comes to real-world use cases.

That said, XC's testing, reviews, and bounties have not happened yet, and Cryptonote is open source and quite well documented.

Can you explain to me what bloat is?

Every time a transaction is made, a copy of it is stored in the blockchain. The blockchain is stored on every single computer that runs a wallet. If transactions take up a lot of space, or if a coin's technology requires a whole lot of transactions, then the blockchain becomes huge.

Blockchains can't be huge if they're to be stored on a mobile phone. So for real-world usability, a bloat-free blockchain is a central concern.

When are the code reviews going to be coming as well, I swear i read earlier this week in the thread that someone said Kristov Atlas would be doing a code review for XC. Are you guys wating for final 2.5 REV or what is the timeline on the code reviews. They would help immensely to get skeptics on board with XC.
