When was Bitcoin first started / launched? I remember watching on the news a short while ago that the first till transaction using Bitcoin was used in the UK, it was a coffee shop in Scotland and the customer paid using Bitcoin. I am just wonder how long it has actually been going for?

I have a couple of questions about how Bitcoin Mining Software works. Firstly, does it run on my computer with a connection to the internet? or Does it run on a website / server hosted online? and second, Where can I get this software? and Roughly how much will software like this cost me? Tongue

I am wanting to know if there is a website / service / software that I can use to view real time what Bitcoin is worth in all different currencies? Mainly United Kingdom (£) and USA ($), but would prefer one that shows several currencies. Can anyone help me out? Tongue

You can use the word / term "Bitcoin" when your talking about them, etc.. but you can create an online currency and call it Bitcoin as Im guessing they would take action.

If my website which earns me Bitcoins makes more than the Earning Threshold in the United Kingdom for when I must start to pay tax, do I still have to pay it? This may be a daft question because I am thinking I probably will still have too, but I am not entirely sure because I haven't yet earned that much and also using Bitcoin is a relatively new thing to me. Is it possible to start using and accepting Bitcoin as a payment method on my website along with the others I have such as PayPal, Bank Card, etc.. ? If so, is it easy to integrate into my E-Commerce website? Any information / help would be appreciated, thanks. Tongue
