1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop] - Electronic Dollar on: February 03, 2018, 03:48:14 PM
Now I'm getting this:

Error: failed to load wallet: Failed to read "*.keys"

Anybody know what causes this?

I created another wallet.

It seems to be persistent on my machine.

Code:
 $ ls
edollard            edollar-wallet-cli.log  test              test.keys
edollar-wallet-cli  edollar-wallet-rpc      test.address.txt

I may have accidentally deleted the other one. If so I can recover it.

If this coin is like other cryptonight, you should look int the .edollar (with a dot before) folder in your home.

If you want to see the folder, type "ls -al" instead and it will list you all content even hidden files and folders.

I think in this case it's actually the test with no file extension. I had thought it would be something with a .dat extension.

Working. Just had one more question. I created a wallet then I forgot the name of it. Is there a command to list wallets?

Go into the wallet program folder and look for a file without an extension. For example, I have two wallets (by accident) and I not-so-creatively named them edollar1 then edollar2.

There's nothing like that in there.

Code:
$ ls
edollard  edollar-wallet-cli  edollar-wallet-cli.log  edollar-wallet-rpc

Wallet and daemon actually work. Wasn't sure what this rpc thing is though.

I want to do two things here: Show my wallet address and start mining? How do I make that happen?

synch your blockchain with your daemon
then open your wallet, the addess will be shown after you entered your password

to mine: depend if you have an AMD or nvidia gpu
go this pool for exemple https://pool.edollar.cash/#
and read the getting started
its a good start

Wallet doesn't work.
./petrodollar-qt: error while loading shared libraries: libminiupnpc.so.8: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

Should I get the source and try to compile this differently or should I just give up?

If it takes more than 15 minutes I'm moving on to another coin.

I wanted to mine some trump coin. I tried running the Qt client on Ubuntu. I get this error:

Code:
./TrumpCoin: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.54.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

In my experience it's because the program is calling a specific version of the library which isn't installed rather than calling whichever version is installed. So I'm guessing it's wanting to use an older library than what I have installed. Before I start editing code let's just see if the thing will work on a baseline system
Been a while since I did anything with Qt. But it's probably just a matter of changing one line of code so the wallets calls the correct header file.

Any advice on this?

Which version of Ubuntu?
What are the required dependencies?
Instructions with important commands?
9  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.4.1: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, Antminer S1-S5, Block v4 solo on: November 29, 2015, 10:38:08 PM
I'm curious is there comprehensive set of instructions for building BFGMiner with CPU support? I'm not concerned about profitability. Hypothetically I have a solar array, a lot of old computers, and lots of time on my hands.

Anyway so I started trying to build BFGMiner and I had some issues with the instructions.

If you have built BFGMiner on Windows I'd like to chat. I'm not sure which version of the programs and libraries I'm supposed to install. I got at far as moving msys.bat to the start menu. Doesn't work that way on Windows ten so I'm assuming the build instructions are for Windows 7. Which build exactly? Pretty much which version of Windows, which version of each software package?

I had some problems installing YASM because it wanted cygwin.dll. So Installed cygwin. I'm not sure if I'm going about this correctly.

Can I build the Windows binary on Linux machine. If so which Linux distribution and version? What versions of the dependencies?

If you have built this lately can you post your command line history. If I have that I can write a nice build script for it.

$1 per 250 pageviews is a pretty high payout. Seems like that would be a hefty bill with any number of pageview.

I might be interested. Any of you guys making money from this already?

Please post some more info.Do you guarantee top search rankings? How much do you charge?

I don't garauntee #1 results but I usually get them. Obviously I don't have any control over how search engine algotithms.are written. I follow.best practices usually things get done. local keywords are easy because they are low competition. Regional, national, or global keywords have different levels of difficulty. I charge $65/hour. Some campaigns also require paid link.placements or site building do to difficulty of keywords. Some keywords I have done with an hour of work. and some take more than a year. Some keywords might be around $30 while others cam be in the millions.. I typically deal with small business startups and gaining brand recognition. I've done damage control for people with bad reviews on really big name coroporate sites. I did.work.gor.a recalled politician who was starting another career in real estate.

My minimum is $500. This includes consultation and a keyword and competition analysis. I used to other this for free but it was abused by people who just shop me then either try to do the work themselves or hire someone cheaper.

just to recap. I usually get the.keywords results I go after.

minimum is $500.

If you are launching a brand new cryptocurrency I might work for a share of untraded coin on prospect.

sorry invance for spelling. smart phone, fat thumbs.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people fear regulation so much? on: February 27, 2014, 11:23:35 PM

Consenting to be regulated is like saying that you don't have the authority to act of your own accord and that you don't have the intelligence to make your own decisions. You don't need to ask for permission to do something as long as you are not harming anyone else.

Word of the day..

If you haven't resolved this yet. You'll want to just go into your domain manager on the registrar's website. Go into your change DNS settings or manage DNS or add nameservers or something like that. Whatever hosing account you bought should tell you exactly what your nameservers are. usually looks something NS1.whatevernameserver.com and NS2.whatevernameserver.com. If you are using email services separate from your webhosting you'll have to update the MX recode or CNAME or something like that.

If you are hosting an a website or email service on your own machine just point the DNS settings to your public IP and forward port 80 and 8080 to your host machine on your router. Run tasksel and set up a LAMP server and email.
