1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: April 06, 2016, 05:58:26 PM
I purchased the professional edition today. I have 20 bitcoin miners on the same pool, and it says I can only monitor 10? Am I doing something wrong?

According to web site, Professional allows 10 and Premium allows 20.
2  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How to Install BFG Miner on your new Raspberry Pi - A Step by Step Guide on: March 29, 2016, 08:08:24 PM
For me, step 5 comes back with something about bfgminer not being a valid directory.
Could somebody help me out?

Please post the exact error message and someone will be able to help.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Anyone using PoE for mining setup? on: March 24, 2016, 09:14:14 PM
I'm gonna start using 5 s7 in the garage that has stable temps and was wondering if anyone has had any bad experience while using power over ethernet? I used to use it for gamign all the time and had very decent pings compared to wifi so shouldn't be that bad right?

Power over Ethernet is used to provide power to an Ethernet connected device and is no way capable of providing the power required by an S7.

Are you referring to Powerline?

Something like http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-PA211KIT-200Mbps-Powerline-Adapter/dp/B004INVKP4 ?

If so, then yes - it will do fine.
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Build hex data for block on: February 28, 2016, 11:24:55 PM
Are you actually trying to mine (if so what hardware do you use and have you managed to mine using a pool?), or are you asking for help with a college question?
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: noob question : can i use antminer S1-S7 card on USB ? on: December 28, 2015, 11:40:03 PM
No
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cg/Sgminer & ccMiner on: December 23, 2015, 04:15:17 PM

For the local currency, there is already a feature for this in Awesome Miner Options dialog, Coins section. Can you please try to set Display currency to custom and defined a name and value (compared to USD).

Thanks, that worked.

Looking forward to the new release.
7  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Dragon miner 250Gh module needed ? on: December 22, 2015, 07:54:48 PM

Is the above site legit or has anyone got a link for one ?

They sell YesMiner miners that do not exist

They sell S7s for $726.00 and U3s for $6.00 (silly prices)

I would avoid.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cg/Sgminer & ccMiner on: December 21, 2015, 08:56:53 PM

The correction for this problem will also be included in next release of Awesome Miner.

Please continue reporting issues and provide suggestions for future releases. Happy mining!

Hope the issue mentioned here can be fixed in the next version.

Other ideas -
It would be nice to be able to choose what algorithms are displayed in Online Services (i.e. hide uninteresting ones)
An option for the home user with 4 or less miners to have C# scripting without upgrading to Premium edition (maybe $40 price point)
auto update of balance
choice of local currency for balance
choice of local currency for power cost
ability to hide coins of no interest
ability to disable worker name suffix in pool configuration

Keep up the good work, I really like the program.
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AntMiner S1 help on: December 19, 2015, 10:28:30 PM
Hey,

How im gonna get AntMiner S1 working example antpool.
GroupFabric dosent support AntMiner/ASIC  Undecided

Never heard of GroupFabric, sounds like a toy. You don't need it.

S1 is a stand alone miner, all the info you need can be found at

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor Cg/Sgminer & ccMiner on: December 12, 2015, 09:07:21 PM
I just ordered this app for 40$ license... no suport yet and i am getting some "miner offline" status notification but my miners are online.

Any help on this?

Just disable the notification for offline detection under Options - Rules and don't expect any support from author on here.
12  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: can i make a profit with 50 ghs asic and no electricity bill? on: December 08, 2015, 03:55:53 PM
Try

https://alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

50 GH/s will give 0.00222518 BTC per week at current difficulty
13  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Where's the catch with this? on: December 04, 2015, 08:49:01 PM
$180,000 is if the current difficulty stays the same, it won't it will go up.

Next year the reward for finding a block drops from 25 to 12.5 BTC, and the fees you mention will be more than you think.

14  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Simple CPU startum miner Implementation on: November 25, 2015, 11:04:25 PM
Hi to all, for a school project I'll love to implement a simple C# CPU startum miner that connect with a real pool.

Actually I know C# 4.0

Also, here are some details:
Port:3333
JASON-RPC

Anyone can help me? I'm stuck at the connection, using a simple TCP doesn't work at all.

Thanks to all!

Would you like to show us some examples of how far you have progressed with this project or would it be easier for you if we just did the project for you and posted the code for you to submit as your own work?
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Graphic on: November 25, 2015, 09:47:10 PM
You could help by giving some more information.

We could probably work out from the screenshot what you are doing and why but it would be quicker if you explained some more so we have somewhere to start from.
16  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining on: November 25, 2015, 09:16:53 PM
Its smarter and more statistically probable if you rent as much hash as possible and run it at once.

More workers working on the same block == greater chance of solving _your_ block in a given amount of time.

If you just space out the hash in smaller amounts over time;  you have less hash to find that block in a given time and it is somewhat wasteful.

Wrong! A hash is a hash.

In the same sense that pointing two antminers at two different BTC payout addresses, will both have the same probability of finding a block;  whereas if they are both mining to the same address, they stand twice the chance as find a block as when they are working independent.

Wrong!

The more hash you cram in that "10 min" gives you a higher actual probability of finding a block.

Wrong! You are not trying to find a hash in that "10 min", you are trying to find a hash that exceeds the current difficulty, the difficulty is adjusted so that the average time to solve a block is 10 minutes.

1000 Gh/s for 1 hour gives exactly the same chance as 1 Gh/s for 1000 hours (assuming the difficulty stays the same for the duration).
17  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Where could I find a knowledgeable mining community? on: November 22, 2015, 09:39:52 PM
This board does not seem too strong,  asked a fairly pertinent question in the mining board hours ago and nothing yet.

That's a good plan, insult the people you are expecting to provide free help.

Wish I'd thought of that one.
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cannot Access Antminer S1 Management Page Over Wifi on: November 16, 2015, 10:10:56 PM
The problem is that with both WAN and WWAN on the same subnet the S1 can receive packets on the WWAN interface but replies on the WAN interface so wifi access only work with the Ethernet cable plugged in.

Quick fix is to connect via cable and move the WAN interface to a different subnet

(e.g. IP - 192.168.2.42
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.2.1)

If it doesn't work you will need to give your PC a static IP address on the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet to get back into the S1 to fix things.
19  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: i need help (again) on: November 15, 2015, 07:00:24 PM
You would be better keeping to 1 thread (you have started 4 so far today on getting your S1 running), your issue may be connected to networking and without knowing what you did to fix your previous issue it is difficult to advise.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is this site legit? on: November 12, 2015, 08:39:00 PM
