Which wallet client did you use (core, electrum, multibit), and maybe it would be good to also include the version number.

This program uses Qt version 4.8.4.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 0 confirmations after several days - BTC gone? on: May 30, 2016, 06:18:24 AM
Hello all
I have sent funds to a BTC address however the transaction is still showing Status: 0/unconfirmed after several days.
I have successfully sent funds to the same address in the past so I dont understand what could be the problem, however the beneficiary is not crediting me for the money received and the money is gone from my account, what can I do?

Can you show us the transaction id?
If the fee was insufficient you'll either have to wait it out, or attemt to create a RBF/double spend.

Sure no problem the ID isb95b4e2c38bed1cdfc6fb21291a457281ab8d58badb956f5aa8f6403410adeef

I already checked and it is not showing in blockchain, so what can I do?
Ihave no idea what is a RBF/double spend?

Verajohn does not appear to have bitcoin? Or at least they don't have it listed on their front page along the rest of the payment methods?
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Buttercoin.net - Buttercoin.com on: January 25, 2014, 01:35:01 PM
Hello all, can anybody advise as to whether buttercoin.net ad .com are effectively the same? the .net seems to offer open source code for an exchange while the .com offer a whitelabel exchange solution. Is it the same code used on both? Did .com further develop the .net code? Or?

thank you
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 08, 2014, 06:16:29 PM
You are wrong, or maybe you have an agenda? Or just too busy to read ?
This was  THERE on the DGEX site, FAQ section

DGEX promotes NXT trading by lifting trading fees at least in the beta period. We charge 0.9% of all Bitcoin withdrawals to cover transaction fees and other overhead costs. NXT withdrawals carry no fee until the end of 2013, we absorb the 1 NXT transaction fee.

Peace....

It's good to see some reasonable behavior in here for a change!

So how much money you wanna rip off this great community and altcoin? 800k NXT not enough, I guess. Fuck off, bastard!

It's not just confusing, it's total bullshit. Graviton made for the community more than most of us. If someone doesn't like fees, then remember how much money did you make on Dgex or outside it but because there was such thing as Dgex. If there was no Dgex and nextcoin.org we'd still have Nxt around 0.000001 Btc and one thread here on bitcointalk.

When one do not charge you to get in and later do not allow you to get out for free than it is called a scam. Very simple.

On a funny note, check nxt:rawdog  Grin

Peace!

First of all he notified in advance about fees.

There was no info on DGEX website. I don't give a shit if he posted it elsewhere. I use his website and I expect info there.

27.12.2013: Server migration over, smooth sailing!
16.12.2013: Fee structure change, instant BTC withdrawals available!
08.12.2013: Email server changed, problems should be gone
02.12.2013: NEXT Forum at Nextcoin.org launched!

7  Economy / Service Discussion / MTGOX: are they incompetent or dishonest? on: December 18, 2013, 11:58:53 AM
On Dec 3 I wired USD funds to MTGox. On Dec 5 they emailed me that the funds had been received by mistake in JPY , and that unless I contacted them otherwise in 3 days, they would credit my account in JPY.
I called my bank, tried to fix it, of course banks don't care so finally on Dec 11 I tell MtGox to go ahead and complete the funding in JPY. They reply to tell me that  "the banking procedure has changed and the deposit would reach us in 7 - 10 business days." 7-10 days when on Dec 5 they already told me that they had received the funds? When I complain they essentially tell me to get stuffed and it's either take it or take it....
Today, I get the following email!!

Dear Valued Customer,

Your deposit has been put on hold as a result of our confirmation process.

To complete the final step of this process we require your company's registration documents for verification.

Verification had been completed almost 1 year ago, on November 27, 2012 and as a matter of fact they are showing that same account where I wired the funds from as a verified account for the withdrawal!!

Am I ever going to see my money again with these people? Is this how they make money really by sitting on funds forever and finding lame excuses to hold onto money even longer?

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new FINCEN report on bitcoin on: April 21, 2013, 08:39:06 PM
This report is not really anything new, plus there is jsut a few lines about Bitcoin, the rest being self gratification for the great job the FINCEN is working etc etc.

Plus, as it has been mentioned by several others, this only affects US based operations. The EU is due to update their regulations on E-Currencies any time soon, which will give a better the idea of what the regulatory landscape for exchangers is going to look like over the coming years

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: exchange problems on: April 12, 2013, 11:51:06 AM
You effectively have a market maker already, i.e MtGox, which I thnk is exactly the problem. Effectively many of the smaller exchanges, I assume, are (have been) using MtGox to keep liquidity, and the 'official' BTC$ exchange rate has always effectively been the rate dictated by MtGox. In 'real world trading' there is a strict separation of the market-making side and the brokerage side of any business.
Let's play the conspiracy theory for one moment, what's to prevent MtGox itself to 'help' the price tanking, hoard BTC, 'fix' their tech issues and sell those BTC's again at much higher prices once the market is stable and moving in the right direction again?

It is going to be a slow process but the only option is to start moving away from MtGox as it is insane to have one exchanger playing market maker and exchanger, moving 80% of the whole market and effectively being identified with BTC to the point that if (rather when!) MtGox has an issue, the mainstream media starts posting things such as 'Bitcoin tanking' and the like

Of course, right now the smaller exchangers are going to be flooded with sell orders since people are panicking and selling off for no reason other than MtGox troubles and those smaller exchanges may soon run into liquidity issues themselves so the main thing to remember is to reward those smaller exchangers with more and more business once the storm is over

11  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Klooch.com Buy BTC with credit card on: January 13, 2013, 02:15:29 PM
Hello all

happy to announce that we are now online with www.klooch.com where you can buy BTC by credit card, in EUR and USD . This is not Google Checkout or Paypal this is a full credit card processing with our own merchant account.

We also accept USD and EUR wires and Liberty Reserve for BTC. BTC to wires and Liberty Reserve should be ready anytime. And BTC to debit card is also on its way!

Kloocho

Any updates on the above?
Hopefully, the docs required for this type of transaction would be less Smiley

We are getting close and apologize for the LOOONG delay. As for the documents, we will still need to ask for proof of ID, address verification and signed authorization, however we will NOT be asking for scanned copies of credit cards.
It is an extremely risky biz, which we have already successfully run a few years ago, when we were operating one of the largest e-gold exchangers, and for sure the largest one processing credit cards egold /pecunix/ liberty reserve purchases

Based on?

Google Alerts informed me that my services may be needed here.

First I look for red flags. I may have found one/two.

Bonuses and goodies are planned during the opening phase, so if you want to make sure you don't miss the grand opening, either send a blank email to klooch.com@gmail.com or bookmark www.klooch.com and keep visiting it often..

It would be pretty hard for me to conduct business, or supply my credit card information, with a business promoting "goodies" and using smileys. I would rather desire this type of business to be as professional as possible. Leave the gimmicks to the kids unless, that is,...

No, we are not kids, however every business may have their 'style' both in communications and design etc
Then onto the website:

Klooch customer service operates Monday to Friday, from 8AM GMT to 11PM GMT.

These sure are weird hours when converted to my timezone. What timezone are you located in, Kloocho? Finland?

Well, they may sound like weird hours to you, they are (were) meant to cover as many possible (potential) users from as many countries as possible. How'd you guess Finland?

I haven't a clue as to why there's an image of a dog associated with this type of service you're offering. At least an alpaca may have excited me more.

I'm currently going through the standared checklist, making sure the flowchart doesn't lead to Ted Williams.

I'll report back with my findings.

Overall, a pretty well written site. Spelling and grammar are not that bad, with only minor errors, but this time I'll pass on pointing them out. This is important because the better educated the website comes across, the more comfortable I am with using their services.

Thanks for the spell-checking! The domain was renewed and it is now (again) set to expire in about 6 months and it will be again renewed though!

Seriously though, we had to deal with a number of legal/regulatory issues hence the long silence, however we are now almost ready and will be announcing our (re)opening soon

Thsnks again for your comments and we hope to have you review our site again once we are live for good!
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Klooch.com Buy BTC with credit card on: January 13, 2013, 01:56:28 PM
since they signed agreements with WMZ and Ukash
Then why not have WMZ -> BTC?
or at least WMZ -> LR -> BTC

Maybe they would go for it. Webmoney is notorious in not allowing their e-currency to be exchanged with any other e-currencies. At least not directly. They seized all exchanger accounts that used to autoexchange WMZ->LR and other digital goldz.

WebMoney does not have an issue with exchanging to other e-currencies, however they do have an issue with AUTO exchanges as those are a prime target to launder stolen funds, funds from hacked accounts and such!

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: December 05, 2011, 09:02:06 PM
If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie forum. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another forum if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

For the current status of how far along we are in processing whitelist requests, check the Pending Whitelists thread.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Hello

I am one of the operators at www.klooch.com and would like to be allowed into the forum as we just launched our site and are taking orders for Bitcoins by credit card

Thanks!
