1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DDC] Dokdocoin, The first cryptocurrency in S. Korea Launched March 1st! on: March 24, 2014, 09:25:49 PM
The exchange at indiamikezulu.com.au is open. Super low volume, but a current trading price on DDC/LTC

I am in constant communication with the devs. Volume of available coin should pick up in a few weeks.

Woo hoo!!

indiamikezulu.com.au has a manual exchange -- in English -- trading LTC/Dokdo and BTC/Dokdo.

Low low volume so far; but I am in contact with the developers, and the bids for the coin have risen already.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] CryptoTrain.Net - Multiple Coin Mining Domain on: March 22, 2014, 11:40:48 AM
Hi, everybody!! Just for fun, and to learn, indiamikezulu is running an 'x-wip bourse,' where you can now trade LTC for Dokdo. Probably other pairs later.

I got a little over twelve thousand Dokdo for one Litecoin this afternoon.

X-wipping is when two coiners swap small amounts of coin to and fro until some trust is established. A list of trusted traders is kept on the site. Then you can easily trade coin and information (in English in this case, and IndiaMikeZulu will be in email contact with the Dokdo devs).

The site is indiamikezulu.com.au, and I will update it every day. Come and visit!!

Good afternoon, guys. Am I getting it right? If you are owed Frankos (I am counting, mu ha ha ha . . . ), post the number and your Frankos address.

Morning, El Dude. I just posted a text that addresses your concern over at Franko org, on LTC/FRK Distributed Exchange.

Pool minor, could we all migrate permanently to Franko org? We can all communicate better if we all live on the same site.

Please please please?

Friday, 12/03/2014

I will swap one Litecoin for 20 Frankos -- nearly a dollar a pop! (over at Franko.org, at 'Experimental Distributed Exchange')

Hi, Poolminor!!

Yes, open letter. Your response was polite and reasonable. I certainly took no offence. (You're a miner? Could I ask you a question by pm?)

Hey, Dare! What number of Frankos is fair? I will pay it. We hope that you either stay in our community, or at the very least leave happy.

Better communication.
More 'buy support.'
But no more listings. For the minute.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Franko Being added to New Exchanges on: March 12, 2014, 03:14:33 AM
Morning, Poolminor. Fair question!!  The people in this small community are nice people. I have suffered research on a shitload of 'dev threads.' Some of them are simply awful places -- that is, awful people.

But I did ask specific questions. Got replies, but no answers. Waited. Asked again. No answers.

At this point, almost exhausted from jumping from site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site, and waiting waiting waiting waiting, and cross-checking ('Maybe Franko is here somewhere on Pmtocoins! Musn't make an incorrect claim -- nice people but.') and cross-checking ('Maybe I am emailing the wrong person at Beaufort Chamber of Commerce! Mustn't make in incorrect claim -- nice people but.') and cross-checking and cross-checking.

I would like to remain a member of this community because I like Franko. It is a fine coin. I'm gonna try and buy some.

But we can't use it in our development project because the community lacks the drive to engage in a dialogue, and the Franko is effectively, at present, a 'closed coin.'

And just being nice people is not how a currency works. The Franko has huge potential -- but its present 'model'  (which took me a while to really figure out) bodes very very poorly.

For example: why have a policy of enthusiastically adding exchanges if you're already being dumped from exchanges for lack of volume?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Open Letter to Franko-Coiners: What's the Story, People?? on: March 11, 2014, 12:51:14 AM

Firstly, thanks to Spiry Golden, the only person (and Snail) who has tried to help.

Do you think the Crypto Town Project is a scam? But I pm-ed two senior community members, asking them to weigh in with the Denmark community -- no reply.

I emailed Catherine Glover, asking about Franko's acceptance at B.C. C. o. C. No reply. You have been called liars to your face over this gig. I undertook to do my homework. Doesn't look good!

Then I offered to provide some 'back-up' to the Oyster Shindig -- no reply.

Why has no one commented on the list of exchanges? I can't find Frankos on pmtocoins. The volume on several of the other exchanges is so low that there is no point in even having listings on them. It is certainly disingenous to make a fuss about 'More Listings!!'

I paid Frankos to three people on the Franko in Your Signature thread just because it's low rent to have squabbles as half of the activity on your threads.

And why isn't the community congregated at one place or another. I've spent three weeks moving from Reddit Franko to Franko.org to Franko Collective to one thread at Bitcointalk to another thread at Bitcointalk to yet another thread at Bitcointalk. The 'front-of-house' dates on these threads are months old, so people have to HUNT to find the unprofessionally scrappy communications.

And, this morning, I find that the coin has plummeted in value without that raising any discussion in the community.

Franko is a fine little coin -- but get your act together, people!!

IndiaMikeZulu must go to bat for Franko with the Influential People of Denmark next week, but we not only can't get coin, we can't make contact with the community to discuss the problem.

If we start buying coin at far above the market price, the market price will rise. IndiaMikeZulu holds a Grand Total of 138 Frankos, bought in a single package on Cryptsy a couple of weeks ago. So, we'll end up losing hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying coin to sell to others at a break-even price in order to develop a coin that we don't have holdings of, the community of which is just sitting in the shadows getting rich. And we'll invest hundreds and hundreds of dollars and hours for the privilege of losing that money??

Gee . . . we're not gonna do that.

Mark Blair, Unicup, Western Australia

Will Buy Frankos at 8% Premium Today -- 'LTC/FRK'

IndiaMikeZulu needs to shake some coin loose, and find out whether we are gonna generally be able to buy enough coin for this Project.

So, offer 1 Litecoin for 18 Franko. Leave your Litecoin address at Indiamikezulu.com.au -- or pm me here; and I will send first: gotta establish trust.

I gotta use my trader's Dokdo wallet 'cause I keep my coins on an android, and Dokdo hasn't an android wallet yet.

But right now, does anyone wanna make an offer: how many Dokdos for one Litecoin?

If you guys want, we'll start trading the pair LTC/Dokdo on our 'Project' micro bourse -- indiamikezulu.com.au

I look forward to getting information from others here.

Have communicated with the developers, who seem to be energetic and disciplined. Gonna do some more research.

Whoa! I forgot to post here:

IndiaMikeZulu has thrown the switch on the Red Dog Project, which will offer Franko (and another coin -- 'Suite-of-Coins Principle') to the town of Denmark in Western Australia.

Although we are only a micro-business, this is perhaps the largest experiment of its type yet undertaken. We have a 'Micro Coin-Exchange' open, for the project, at indiamikezulu.com.au

Details to follow. First formal meeting with town folk on 21st this month.

ya know, Snail, this is the first time that I have felt any REAL 'community feel' to a coin! We've learned that there are 'thread communities' and 'trading communities' and 'developers' communities'; but Franko has the feel, so to speak, of a 'community community.'

Dogecoin has it as well; but Doge quite lacks the breadth and depth -- knowledge and experience -- that Franco-coiners have. Dogecoiners are a community that got itself a coin. Franko is a community of coiners (and that encompasses the politics). Very different.

It's sorta like arriving home!
