Western Australia, Wed., 5/03/2014

We are go!! The town is Denmark, Western Australia. Population: 2,300.
There is a mixture of 'counterculturals' -- I don't think anyone thinks that is an insulting term; I am one -- and successful people -- read 'tech savvy' -- who have moved there for the quiet life.

It's a gorgeous place, guys. I was surfing here in 1983.

IndiaMikeZulu will maintain a respectful relationship with the influential local people who have welcomed us, our currency, to their community.

The Strategy is:

three coins:

Firstly, Dogecoin, as a 'training-coin.' We are engaged, fellow Franko-coiners, with people who are completely new to the crytpo-currency phenomenon. Indiamikezulu thinks the breadth, warmth and vibrancy of the Dogecoin community -- there's no denying it -- is the best 'first contact' point.

Secondly, the Franko will be the alternative currency of the town and district. We aim for mutual benefit: IMZ breaks even, and learns a great deal; we ask the solid support of the Franko community, which we expect to benefit from the increased velocity of the Franko; and we expect the community of Denmark to learn that The Franko has tremendous potential to 'hold in' money that might otherwise drift away to other communities.
We Australians say, 'No muckin' around': our First Goal is 100 commercial and personal Franko users in the district. If they have, say, 200 Frankos in their wallets, that's 20,000 Frankos in one town and district. (IndiaMikeZulu looks to holding, say, 5% of the currency as commitment, investment, and backing for the bourse. That's another 6,000 Frankos.)

Thirdly, there's Bitcoin, which will serve to draw money in from as far away as . . . all the rest of the world: 'Bitcoin Holiday Denmark'! Plenty of this Bitcoin should end up as Franko.

We call this the 'Suite-of-Coins Principle.'

Leave a message at indiamikezulu.com.au if you want. I have some requests of central Franko-community people, to help get the snowball rolling. Showing that we are a tight, tech-savvy community will be a great asset to the Project.

ya know, Snail, this is the first time that I have felt any REAL 'community feel' to a coin! We've learned that there are 'thread communities' and 'trading communities' and 'developers' communities'; but Franko has the feel, so to speak, of a 'community community.'

Dogecoin has it as well; but Doge quite lacks the breadth and depth -- knowledge and experience -- that Franco-coiners have. Dogecoiners are a community that got itself a coin. Franko is a community of coiners (and that encompasses the politics). Very different.

It's sorta like arriving home!

Will Buy Frankos at 8% Premium Today -- 'LTC/FRK'

IndiaMikeZulu needs to shake some coin loose, and find out whether we are gonna generally be able to buy enough coin for this Project.

So, offer 1 Litecoin for 18 Franko. Leave your Litecoin address at Indiamikezulu.com.au -- or pm me here; and I will send first: gotta establish trust.

Open Letter to Franko-Coiners: What's the Story, People??

What's going on?

Firstly, thanks to Spiry Golden, the only person (and Snail) who has tried to help.

Do you think the Crypto Town Project is a scam? But I pm-ed two senior community members, asking them to weigh in with the Denmark community -- no reply.

I emailed Catherine Glover, asking about Franko's acceptance at B.C. C. o. C. No reply. You have been called liars to your face over this gig. I undertook to do my homework. Doesn't look good!

Then I offered to provide some 'back-up' to the Oyster Shindig -- no reply.

Why has no one commented on the list of exchanges? I can't find Frankos on pmtocoins. The volume on several of the other exchanges is so low that there is no point in even having listings on them. It is certainly disingenous to make a fuss about 'More Listings!!'

I paid Frankos to three people on the Franko in Your Signature thread just because it's low rent to have squabbles as half of the activity on your threads.

And why isn't the community congregated at one place or another. I've spent three weeks moving from Reddit Franko to Franko.org Franko Collective to one thread at Bitcointalk to another thread at Bitcointalk to yet another thread at Bitcointalk. The 'front-of-house' dates on these threads are months old, so people have to HUNT to find the unprofessionally scrappy communications.

And, this morning, I find that the coin has plummeted in value without that raising any discussion in the community.

Franko is a fine little coin -- but get your act together, people!!

IndiaMikeZulu must go to bat for Franko with the Influential People of Denmark next week, but we not only can't get coin, we can't make contact with the community to discuss the problem.

If we start buying coin at far above the market price, the market price will rise. IndiaMikeZulu holds a Grand Total of 138 Frankos, bought in a single package on Cryptsy a couple of weeks ago. So, we'll end up losing hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying coin to sell to others at a break-even price in order to develop a coin that we don't have holdings of, the community of which is just sitting in the shadows getting rich. And we'll invest hundreds and hundreds of dollars and hours for the privilege of losing that money??

Gee . . . we're not gonna do that.

Morning, Poolminor. Fair question!!  The people in this small community are nice people. I have suffered research on a shitload of 'dev threads.' Some of them are simply awful places -- that is, awful people.

But I did ask specific questions. Got replies, but no answers. Waited. Asked again. No answers.

At this point, almost exhausted from jumping from site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site to site, and waiting waiting waiting waiting, and cross-checking ('Maybe Franko is here somewhere on Pmtocoins! Musn't make an incorrect claim -- nice people but.') and cross-checking ('Maybe I am emailing the wrong person at Beaufort Chamber of Commerce! Mustn't make in incorrect claim -- nice people but.') and cross-checking and cross-checking.

I would like to remain a member of this community because I like Franko. It is a fine coin. I'm gonna try and buy some.

But we can't use it in our development project because the community lacks the drive to engage in a dialogue, and the Franko is effectively, at present, a 'closed coin.'

And just being nice people is not how a currency works. The Franko has huge potential -- but its present 'model'  (which took me a while to really figure out) bodes very very poorly.

For example: why have a policy of enthusiastically adding exchanges if you're already being dumped from exchanges for lack of volume?

Hi, Poolminor!!

Yes, open letter. Your response was polite and reasonable. I certainly took no offence. (You're a miner? Could I ask you a question by pm?)
