1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: NitrogenSports Scammed Me (RESOLVED - NO HARM DONE) on: June 24, 2019, 08:40:28 PM
The accusation was a little bit rushed on my end.

Long story short, I thought I contacted 3 of their support email addresses (support@, marketing@, affiliates@), but it looks like I did not actually contact them for one of them (affiliates@). And this specific department provided me with great help and communication for my issue, and helped me recover my account and all my referrals.

As a result, I've added the latest update to the initial post and title.

As far as I'm concerned, I feel happy to continue using Nitrogen and would recommend anyone to do so as long as you guys add an email address, username and password AS SOON AS YOU CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT.

Cheers

This is exactly what I believe. They pretend a violation of their terms to steal away from me.
Very bad behavior as a business. Thanks for the feedback!

All in all, what I mean is that there are clear evidences that the account probably belongs to me since I claimed me and gave a lot of information about it. And instead of helping me through the process, they just stop communicating. It's just easier and more profitable for them.
If they care more about short term profits than the happiness of their clients and partners, simply beware.

@Avirunes I understand how their system works now, but I didn't understand in the past. Thanks for your constructive comment though.

Here are the screenshots of the support tickets. What's after that is only me requiring assistance again and again, so it's not worth reading.

SCREENSHOTS REMOVED - CASE SOLVED

I've made 2 mistakes when posting the initial statement in this thread:
1. It looks like I initially set a username and password for the account, but only noted down the password. Honestly, I'm not sure anymore, as this is 3 months or more old.
2. I did not mention we created a new account after we realized we lost the first one. This is because we did not realize the first one was worth a lot of money, and we did not even think of reaching out to the support at the time. Still, this is not a good reason for not granting the account because we are many people working for the company, and they do not offer company accounts.

Here is the information about the URL shortener we use:
SCREENSHOTS REMOVED - CASE SOLVED
So we know how many time the shortened URL was clicked each month.

Basically, the end URL we use on our website (Rebrand.ly/Nitrogen ...) has never changed. Only the original URL (affiliate link) changed.

Since we've changed the original URL from the old link to the new one on Rebrandly (annotated in red), I can bet that our old affiliate link hasn't had any click on it (maybe 1 or 2 from us maximum) because we no longer promote it. That to me, in addition to my answers to previous questions, prove that I was the owner of the account.

In any case, I did not ask them to grant me the account without investigation. They just basically refuse to investigate more than they did.

Lol, I can only disagree with you (and guess you work for Nitrogen or take pleasure contradicting accusations?)

My mistake? Even though you know more websites with this system (I'm on the internet 14 hours per day for the last 10 years and this is my first time btw), the user is poorly guided through the process and it's extremely easy (more than on any other website) to lose access to your account.

Nitrogen stopped communication. I believe I answered everything right, but even if I haven't, they don't give me a chance to get my account back. They do not reply my emails. So I assume they don't want to spend money helping me with this - instead they prefer to keep the money they owe me for themselves - much more profitable, isn't it?

Also, as I mentioned, I provided evidences that only the owner of the account could provide. Put simply, I use a link shortener that allows me to track clicks. So I can know when the link was clicked for the first time, how many clicks we had per month, and when we stopped redirecting our users to it once we realize we could not access the account.

I also contacted them using the branded email address of my website, from which the links come from. But they won't help me, ask me more questions, verify my story, etc.

Again I can only assume that's because I referred lots of people, and they are very happy that I did not add a username and password to my account.

-------- Latest Update ---------

The accusation was a little bit rushed. They were slow to help me, and I had to contact multiple services, but in the end the support was very helpful and solved my case (I never even told them I accused them of scam online).

-------- Original Message ---------

Hi,

Nitrogen scammed me. TLDR; I lost my account that's worth a lot of money, and Nitrogen refuses to help.

Story

I have a website and referred my audience to Nitrogen for a few months. I realized recently that the link I placed on my website was clicked a lot and drove lots of customers (between 700 to 1,000 new registrations according to my estimates) to their website. This means a LOT of money over time.

So I tried to log in to my account, and, surprise: I could not login. Because when I created my account to get my affiliate link, I did not set a username/password for my account.

Note: This is a unique system that only nitrogensports uses; You can create an account without an username, email and password, but you're responsible for adding them to your account afterwards.

So I contacted their support, which said they would help. They asked me lots of questions that were very difficult to answer considering I couldn't access the account. I answered everything at my best ability, and provided even more evidences than what was requested. My story makes complete sense and I gave them information that only the owner of the account could know.

I received this answer:
After reviewing the information with our Security department, it has been determined that access to account XXXXXXX will not be granted.

No information on the 'why' they won't grant it. They don't answer any email from me anymore. Because they know the account will earn 10s of thousands of dollars over the years.

Conclusion

Nitrogen seems to prioritize their own short-term benefits vs long term fair business.

Also, since they decided not to give me my account back despite my efforts and communication, I strongly suspect Nitrogen is scamming its customers as well. People would deposit Bitcoin, be locked out of their accounts and won't be able to recover their account.

I hope this feedback helps others!
