1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Unofficial BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: March 05, 2014, 08:07:21 PM
Between now and when these we're supposed to ship, 20 PH has been dropped unto the network..
I can't help but wonder where from..

You have to remember that you are not seeing the average... only peaks...

If many peak in harmony, you see something like that. Just as the low, is many of us in a sour-spot. (Could be that we lost connections with a farm, got a lot of errors, just got lucky, or the day just got cooler.) In addition to machines added to the network, and other machines being pulled-off the network.

https://blockchain.info/charts/ <-- Logarithmic Scale, with 7-day roling avg, 1-year
(Growth is actually slowing-down. Technology-limit and lack of new farms.)

Also, miners hop onto other coins that are better value than BTC to mine, and come back when BTC is a better value to mine.

There are a lot of factors. You need to focus on the 3-day to 7-day rolling avg, or the log-charts.

But yes, 20PHs is a lot to add to a network, but that is only 20,000THs at most... 10,000THs + harmonic-peaks.

Split among the orders... (Includes China-MFG and ScryptASIC which does sha256 also)
0.1THs (6x MFG) ~6.0THs (10x Production, ant-usb-farms, old-BFLs, misc.)
0.2THs (6x MFG) ~1.2THs
1.2THs (5x MFG) ~6.0THs
2.4THs (3x MFG) ~7.2THs
3.0THs (1x MFG) ~3.0THs
3.6THs (1x MFG) ~3.6THs
TOTAL HASHING ~ 27THs * 50-units/day * 15-days = 20.5PHs

(50 units seems to be about the avg claim. 15 days is just how long they have had to build and test, before shipping. Since claims have been rolling in. Both I believe modest estimates. 7-days if it comforts you, with the harmony-theory.)

A place MFG 100 a day, could only test 50 for half as long... I would assume, unless they have some crazy power setup. (Seeing as most power is used for MFG. Not to mention the electric bill. Though that would be 10%-50% of consumer prices for electricity. Monthly dumps anyone? lol.)

China, I am sure, is using robots to assemble 1,000+ a day... Tongue

I believe this may be the last few years for "consumer mining", to be profitable, on any level. Unless they come-up with a 1.0 PHs miner that runs off 400Watts next year, for under $2500. Then limit that to only one miner per person. Tongue (Looking at the difficulty.)

Though, I don't see many farms opening up anymore. Diff is slowing-down, no matter which way you slice it. At this technology limit. Now it is a matter of volume, and few are buying that volume, at that price, for that little return.

Best we can hope for is farm failure, as all the hardware starts to break-down and die from overclocking.

Even with $6,000/BTC to $24,000/BTC, this is a tight earning.

Amen brother! You hit the nail on the head. Take Bitmine for instance, will offer you 10% CPP per 10 days, but are raking in much more on your investment by simply running the machines until it makes sense for them to ship it.

Even though I agree with what your saying, I believe you fail to differentiate between "sold" vs "shipped". You're blockchain data is correct, but selling x amount of PH/s worth of machines, doesn't mean that those machines are in the hands of the individuals that has paid for them.

Network Hashrate = 28PH/s or 28,000 TH/s

If you look at the production and what has been shipped, theirs a major gap of equipment somewhere. That's 28,000 units of a 1 TH/s machine, and the network keeps increasing daily. Its clear that the companies are creating "false" delays.

Sorry for the delay with any updates we are currently working flat out:

Our VAT number is 181109625

Regarding our production etc.. we are waiting for a delivery of components to our electronics manufacturer. Once we have these components in stock we have everything ready to mass produce.

When we do start accepting orders, for the first week we will only be accepting orders for the enigma 1. This is to ensure that we don't get too swamped and can meet our dispatch deadlines, the following week we will be opening up to the rest of our range.

We are also in the process of setting up a small datacenter to offer a hosting solution for your miners which includes 24/7 monitoring and a backup UPS, this will be online an running by the end of march.

I want to apologize in advance if my assumptions are wrong or accusatory in nature, but having ordered from just about every mining company to come to existence, including some fake ones, I was wondering if you are able to answer the following:

1) You're chips/components are supplied by Bitmine. How are they able to supply you while having a massive backlog of orders from individuals?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=486808.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.0

2) Your domain name was registered on Feb 10th 2014. How are you already up and running less then 30 days later?
http://who.is/whois/www.bitcoinultra.co.uk

2.1) How have you been able to secure your supply chain in less then 30days of coming into existence?

3) Jenra Limited was used to register your domain. Why is the company status "dissolved"?
http://companycheck.co.uk/company/06051481

As some individuals have come to realise, most mining companies have been using our "pre-order" $ to establish a mining operation, increasing the Network Hashrate by multiple petahash/month and will only ship when they've accumulated a wealthy amount of coins. By the time the machines are ready to ship, the break even point is long and the ROI is much lower then calculated based on initial "delivery dates".

Bitcoin Ultra is using Bitmine chips and as some of you know Bitmine is behind in production and shipping.

I can't help but have some negative assumptions regarding this venture. If Bitmine can't/haven't fulfilled orders from Sept 2013 yet, how are they able to supply Bitcoin Ultra?

Smells fishy to me!

Has anyone received any equipment from Bitmine? If so, how were you advised of your shipping date and tracking number? Also, how long after being advised did you receive your equipment? What country was the shipping done to?

Looking forward to being an active member of this thread and other threads!

if you are "looking forward to being active member of this thread" then you should look backward and you would have answers for most of your questions. here is lots of informations about already shipped miners and links to other threads where you can get additional informations about how and to where they were shipped.

about your order: you are at this time not even in CPP, so i think if that really is what they said to you, then multiplicate everything with 3 and hope that then they can really ship it in 15 days.

your queue #260 ist the number of rigs which will be shipped out before your rig, so be sure that if they start production in 15 days and are producing 10-30 miners per day (even if they are saying they will produce 50 per day)you will get your rig earliest in 25 days, but it can take easily 45 days or more. Bitmine said already weeks ago that production of rigs will start "end of this week"(TM). i am sure they will not be able to start with rig production so fast. be happy, you will get full CPP until you will get your miner.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

From what they told me the Queue number is not how many machines are ahead of you, but how many orders (including orders with multiple machines)

As for the CPP. My shipping date would have been Feb 28th, add the 15 days until production go live from today and add another 10 days until they reach my order, I would fall on March 29th which would put me at 31 days.

And I have been reading through the forum to catch up, lots of noise, not to much substance/details except for a few individuals. Hence why I asked those questions  Smiley
You should have a queue number per machine ordered. If you've got 4 Rigs you should have 4 queue numbers in sequential order. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364155.0

I have 4 Rigs in 1 order.... and they have only given me 1 queue number. Are you 100% positive its how it works, because I've been on the phone with them 3 times in the past 10days and they never mentioned having 4 different queue numbers? Unless the queue number they gave me is the 1st of the 4?
Bitmine obviously know more than me, but to date they have been issuing queue numbers per machine.  I suspect the queue number you have is for your first Rig, and the other three Rigs will be the next 3 numbers.  Check out RetroGamer's queue numbers (all from the one order) for example on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364155.0

Anyway, one queue number is enough to gauge where you are at.  If you don't mind me adding your details to the "Bitmine list of orders - December 2013 delivery (batch 1)" thread... would you mind disclosing your payment date?  I'm a little confused at your low queue number at the moment, based on queue number 260 I'd put you in Batch 1.

After reading a bit more and going through the info, it seems theirs 2 queues.... one for rigs, and one for desks. But here is my info, hope it helps sort this out.

Queue Position : 260
Order number : 426x
Date of payment  Dec 12th, 2013
Method of Payment : Wire Transfer
Item: CoinCraft Rig
Speed: 2TH/s
Quantity: 4
Batch: February Last Week
Destination: Canada

Here are my details:

Queue Position:  260
Order number:  426x
Date of payment:  12/12/2013
Method of Payment:  Bank Transfer
Product:  4x Rigs
Hashing Power:  2TH
Destination:  Canada
Batch:  February Week 4

I just spoke with Bitmine regarding my order and here is what I was told:

If all goes well, production for the rigs should start in 15 days (March 19th) . With my queue #, they estimate having my rigs ready to ship about 10 days after production go-live (March 29th).

We briefly discussed the CPP and if those estimate hold, I am looking at a 20% increase according to them.

Hi everyone,

I just spoke with Bitmine regarding my order and here is the details

My Order Info:
Item: CoinCraft Rig
Speed: 2TH/s
Quantity: 4
Batch: February Week 4
Queue #: 260

I was told that if all goes well, production for the rigs should start in 15 days. With my queue #, they estimate having my rigs ready to ship about 10 days after production go-live.

We briefly discussed the CPP and if those estimate hold, I am looking at a 20% increase according to them.

We also discussed that the 10% CPP is inadequate for these types of delays when the difficulty has increased significantly in recent months and asked them what they could do to make up the difference. They told me this is something they can look at when the rigs are ready to ship.

Difficulty Increase:
74%  in 30 days
169% in 60 days
439% in 90 days

I am extremely disappointed with their lack of information and what seems to be contradictory information to different individuals.

On a side note, Bitcoin Ultra is gearing up with production go-live on March 7th using Bitmine as their supplier which is an insult to everyone waiting from Bitmine for their equipment. It seems Bitmine has the capacity to supply another company but cannot fulfil their backlog of orders?

Has anyone received any equipment from Bitmine? If so, how were you advised of your shipping date and tracking number? Also, how long after being advised did you receive your equipment? What country was the shipping done to?

Looking forward to being an active member of this thread and other threads!
