1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ArtByte - the cryptocurrency for the arts! on: October 23, 2017, 06:36:26 PM
We ask all miners to upgrade to v13.01. Binaries for Win, MAC and Linux are available on our main site: https://www.artbyte.me/get-started/
Binaries only?  No source any more?  What's in those binaries?

There doesn't seem to be a block explorer that can be used to check anything...
http://ipay.explorer.ssdpool.com:9149/ - is crashed.
http://blocktree.io/e/ICASH - is stuck on block 6973.
Yobit seems to be stuck as well.

Wallet sync interupted?

Yes i'm on it  Wink

And? People are mining now, coins will be on fork?

That's a good question that deserves some feedback asap.  Quite a bit of mining here and coin xfers that seem to be stuck in limbo.  Is continuing to mine at this time a total waste?

Rented some hashrate yesterday. I hope I will not lose so much money. But when an exchange will be available ?

Forget about it. No major exchange is ever going to touch this dog.

Wow.. 16+ hours for windows wallet to download the blockchain and it's only about 60% done.  Huge amount of data going out and very little coming in. WTF

mine was done from scratch this AM in abt 20 mins

Thank for the info.  I just tried it on another computer/network/isp and it's much much faster.

It looks like the bottleneck is the upload bandwidth.  I have DSL with slow upload speed and it brings the blockchain download to an excruciating crawl.  Only with this wallet.  Still concerned about why the huge proportion of outgoing vs incoming data.

Is there any way to get info from the wallet like via command line or a debug console somewhere? I'm not finding it, other than RPC of course. Trying a standard wallet command line query with either the windows or linux wallet binary (such as "./vanillacoind getinfo") always just starts a new wallet process, even when one is aready running.

Looks like Allcoin.com has permanently shut down the IPC market.

pool.applebyte.me has been saying this for quite along time:

We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP.
Findblocks disabled, new blocks will currently not show up in the frontend

No new found blocks there for about a day and a half. Are we just wasting our hashes?

Have you seen the DIFF and Hashrate.  If you don't have some strong hashing power I can see why you haven't gotten a block!!

When I say "No new found blocks there for about a day and a half"  I'm talking about for the pool, not me.

It looks like the problem has been addressed now, though the Last Blocks Found list is still missing blocks from the last 24 hours

edit: NM about the 24 hours of missing blocks. The I was confused by the date format. All seems good there now.

Is there still no block explorer for AppleBytes?

How long will it take for people to realize that it is easier to mine this coin using little power. Only one GPU is enough. Adding more power will only increase diff and no one will be able to mine more. So last few days I m increasing diff by adding up to 9Mh/s on the pool whenever someone adds more GPUs. Come on ppl what is the difference to mine 50 000 IPC with one GPU or 150 000 with 10 of them.

You mean like the Genius who is pointing 38.31 MH/s at it right now?

That 40MH/s+ from balzero is abusing the difficulty algo. It's been been going on for a couple of days.

Hey, how about updating the coin with something like DGW to squash leeches like that?

I now have several thousand SUPER accumulated since launch showing in the wallet as "Spendable".
The wallet still shows..
Stake: 0.00 SUPER
How does that number increase?
A very few really small transactions came a few hours ago in as "Mined". Apparently they went into Spendable. Is that staking?
I read post #1 about POS, and googled how staking works, and others are saying that SUPER staking is happening, but I still am not sure how to tell if it's working for me.

Anybody tried to mine with GPU via CGMiner on some other pool than 1Gh? I tried to redirect now to Heavycoinpool, but I get Reject error ...(Ntime out of range)

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

It's now possible to GPU mine with CGMINER on Heavycoinpool.com. In order to save this coin from doom, redirect immediately your GPUs (and CPUs) away from 1Gh to prevent 51% attack. Redistribution of hashpower will help to increase the value of this coin quite quickly.

You have to use this address in cgminer: stratum01.heavycoinpool.com:5333

 cgminer version 3.7.3 - Started: [2014-03-18 17:17:17] - [0 days 00:10:29]

Has anybody managed to get this to work in Linux?  The readme instructions describe building for Skeincoin and Maxcoin, but nothing about Heavycoin.  I've tried building and running many different ways and the best result is 100% rejects with messages like "Rejected be506c0c Diff 1/0 GPU 1  (Ntime out of range)".

That's because it is beta which was not authorized for distribution. Here is the original message: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=392322.msg5725903#msg5725903

For the impatient, here is HVC cgminer version that works on 1gh: https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein

It currently only works with GCN cards (or so I believe). No binaries are available as it is a WIP, and I will not provide support for this version.

Please configure with './autogen.sh --enable-heavy --enable-opencl' and run with '--heavy --vote 1024' (or your preferred vote). Best intensity setting seems to be 3 for all cards, but you may have luck with higher values.

That did the trick. Thank you!!  Interesting it seems that --vote is required.

I have sent some vtc a couple of days ago on Cryptsy. The deposit has occurred successfully but my balance shows "0". On the Vertcoin blockchain, I can see that my coins has been moved to another wallet without showing any withdrawal, trade or sell. Should I be alarmed ? I have sent a support ticket to Cryptsy, but I was wondering if it has happened to some of you too ?

Yeah, a couple of weeks back I sent 25 VTC to Cryptsy. My VTC balance only increased about 9.1 VTC with absolutely no other activity on the account (trades, withdrawls, etc, etc, etc).  My message to Cryptsy "Support" only resulted in a very lame response that completely disregarded the given details and the account activity plainly showing in my account area.

I moved EVERYTHING to BTER after that and have been very happy there since.
