Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I now have several thousand SUPER accumulated since launch showing in the wallet as "Spendable".
The wallet still shows..
Stake: 0.00 SUPER
How does that number increase?
A very few really small transactions came a few hours ago in as "Mined". Apparently they went into Spendable. Is that staking?
I read post #1 about POS, and googled how staking works, and others are saying that SUPER staking is happening, but I still am not sure how to tell if it's working for me.

Those small mined transactions are your Proof of Stake (PoS) earnings.  When the minimum allotted holding period comes (1 day), then you'll start to earn PoS on your wallet holdings that you've held for over 1 day - when that happens the portion of your balance that will be earning PoS will temporarily show up under your 'Staked' balance and will be subtracted from your spendable balance. Once you receive your PoS earnings then that 'Staked' balance gets put back in your spendable balance.

Here's a question that I wasn't sure about - the PoS is written differently than Jackpot coin. Does Supercoin also pay daily PoS interest?

Not enough volume to dump much really. More than 500-600K coins are mined every day.
But trade volume is less than half of that right now. So miners can't even sell right now.
I think that's why the diff is going down. Big miners want to be able to sell daily at least.

I know the POW is 50 million coins but about how many blocks is that in the POW?

It is too late for me to do the math.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

I agree miners are selling daily, that's how they make profit and they mine based on profitability. It's the same for every coin. So all is perspective of the future of the coin. Most alt coins are under selling pressure, but some good ones can sustain. I think this is a good one, just need more marketing and promo.

It is too late for me to do the math.

- 90 sec PoW block time
- block payout will be halved every one and half months (45 days).
So daily 960 blocks * 512 (plus super blocks)

why pools?

Code:
{
"blocks" : 3844,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : {
"proof-of-work" : 79.91083421,
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00024931,
"search-interval" : 1
},
"blockvalue" : 51200000000,
"netmhashps" : 5626.46589422,
"netstakeweight" : 9602.06245530,
"errors" : "",
"pooledtx" : 0,
"stakeweight" : {
"minimum" : 0,
"maximum" : 0,
"combined" : 0
},
"testnet" : false
}

with diff so low you can easilly solomine even with cpu Smiley

and you have whole reward right in you wallet, even for the super blocks.
you wait only 1x 50 confirms to get the coins, not 2x 50 like with the pools.
you do not pay any fees.

I have nothing against ipo well executed and repartited, but foggy ninja ipo with 2.5 millions repartited among 6 users ONLY, including 3 anonymous. Seems like scam to me, would be easy to make up false buyers to keep premine or huge part of it. I can be wrong of course but fact is that any of those investors (if they even exist) can dump price to 0. And that sucks cause pos superblocks was a good idea.

So many good coins shooting themself in the foot just by greed. That coin could have been blameless but that is too much to ask these days.
