The stuff in (and including) the square brackets is the key origin information I mentioned. The public key will follow the closing square bracket (])and is either 66 or 130 hexadecimal characters. After the pubkey will be a closing parentheses followed by a pound symbol (#) which is then followed by 8 (or so) characters for a checksum.

I'm a bit confused by your explanation.  So to clarify, you are saying that if you use the coworkers wallet.dat as the ONLY wallet.dat it works OK? But if you try and use multiwallet functionality then Bitcoin Core crashes?  Or are you saying that it starts ok with "default_wallet" and "co-worker wallet.dat" files in the data directory, but when you try to switch it crashes? Yes HCP sorry to leave you hanging but my time was limited some of us are, Thanks locking now |

To the best of my knowledge... it has always been a "wallet.dat" wallet file. The JSON-RPC stuff seems to have been first added around version 0.3.0, in early 2010 (February)... based on this commit in the old repo on sourceforge: https://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/code/60/Passwords (wallet encryption) were added to Bitcoin-Qt in version 0.4.0 (released 23 September 2011): https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.4.0Such a relief even if it is not the surest information but must have than all day searching with my brother google. |

I don't have the knowledge to this all I want to know is, does bitcoin-qt at first have a initial/default password when first firing it up way back 2009-02-08 if so what could it be.

Would be nice if you introduce first what is Upoker apps and why we should use that platform when there's a lot more in the market.
