I couldn't help but be slightly confused by the graphic underneath the ECOSYSTEM COLLABORATES IN YOUR BEST INTEREST section.

What exactly is the flow (in words) from funding to the consumer? In other words, could you describe the process shown in this graphic in words?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢[ANN] 🔴Solve.Care - Healthcare on Blockchain🔴TOKEN SALE IS STARTED🚀🌎 on: November 21, 2017, 11:00:29 PM
My question, plain and simple, is this: with a country such as the United States that may have major changes to health care every 4-8 years, how does this affect your platform and how will you adapt to these necessary changes?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FortKnoxster - Telegram on steroids. Sale 24 NOV. PRESALE LIVE!! on: November 21, 2017, 10:58:47 PM
I love the idea of a Telegram- or Slack-like software that is fully encrypted. The concept is great, but I do have one question. What is the likelihood of information getting hacked on the Fortknoxster platform as opposed to Telegram? How much more private is it really?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] Foreground -- Affiliate Marketing and Advertising On the Blockchain on: November 21, 2017, 10:56:31 PM
The platform seems great, but I am a visual learner. Is there any way we could see images of what the platform interface may look like?

I love the idea but I would really enjoy seeing a concept of the software in action so I can understand how your vision will be put onto the screen.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] [ICO] Foreground Affiliate Marketing and Advertising On The Blockchain on: November 21, 2017, 10:53:44 PM
This is a very generous bounty program. How fast does Foreground count on being able to implement the work received from the bounty onto the site?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN ICO+Bounty] [REF] REFTOKEN- Disrupting The Affiliate Marketing Industry on: November 21, 2017, 10:49:37 PM
How will the RefToken platform provide honest and reliable analytics to its affiliates? It is not uncommon for affiliate programs to take advantage of the marketers. How is RefToken set up to change this particular problem?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN ICO+Bounty] [REA] REALISTO - Real Estate Investing For Everyone, Everywhere on: November 06, 2017, 07:47:52 PM
Can we get some insights into how a real estate expert could start their own project on the platform? I personally have some real estate background and led some investments into some rental units in the past. The fundraising part is the least enjoyable part to me, so being able to use something like this would be awesome.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 26, 2017, 09:57:20 PM
burstcoin is flawed. and hacked.

Someone is caching the passwords from wallets hosted by burstnation.

I tested two accounts only logged on to them there.

both of them got funds removed, and more to that, the second one got assets transfered.

Whoever owns this: BURST-5BGX-C7EA-A6ET-BAQCD is a thief

currently has over a million in burst and probably every asset there is.

DUMP YOUR COINS AND RUN AWAY. BURST NEEDS TO BE REBUILT FROM GROUND UP!!!

ITS SIMPLY NOT SAFE!!!

Do not confuse dishonest practices by certain elements of the community to be an indication that it is a flaw within BURST.

Join Burst discord and be at the forefront of the discussion - much faster info than here.

Yes it is true, someone is stealing from burstnation - do not use BN wallets, also do not visit BN site if you got a local wallet running as there is indication that the site is infected.

Can anybody tell me if one should use Burstcoin-fuseburst-1.2.8-v4 or the 1.2.9b wallet at the moment? I want to start mining, but cant get past downloading blockchain. If I will successfully download blockchain in beta 1.2.9b, can I copy it's file to the 1.2.8-v4?
I can not condone a client that can moderate the network which 1.2.8-v4 seems to be doing. It has blacklist setttings. Even if the intentions are good that client should never have reached the public view. Dawallet has stated that we no longer should be using 1.2.9b since it has served its purpose. I sugest you go with muhatzgs version 1.2.8mu that can be found compiled here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7C2w7UN4dvRRGhadUdmN3QxV00/view?usp=sharing
His sourcecoude is available here: https://github.com/muhatzg/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.8mu

Heh, I guess it is OK to fork an entire chain to fix the DAO, but it is not OK to blacklist a malicious actor on the network. Who would've figured Smiley

Pardon my sarcasm but here is no substantial difference between these two actions.
I am aware that it is against some people's beliefs on what a decentralized network should be, but in this case I do not think another option existed. Especially in such a short term.

In my opinion a blacklist does not solve the issue. Attacker can change wallet and continue (which we already have seen). maybe the attacker makes 300 wallets with 1000burst each instead. a blacklist in this case only opens up for abuse. Mu wallet does not fork the chain only discards unconfimed transactions similar to dawallets 1.2.9b.

No, blacklist does not solve the issue permanently. However, since messaging is a built in function of the wallet - there is no simple permanent "fix", only compromises.

The Alias of that wallet address is "H"
Dont think it takes a genius to point to haitch

Are you for real? Haitch? Really?
How did you come to that conclusion? Pleas enlighten us...
Maybe its Harrold, or Harry Potter

Maybe it's your bad English ("pleas" gave you away), but if you read "H", the sound IS "Haitch".
Then again, it's SO obvious, it could be a trap.

Nah, IQ is really low around B-Nation, it's pretty evident.

If pool is overloaded and rejects shares randomly, change pool.
Easy.

Hi,

I need to buy a laptop and I am wondering if the BURST wallets are compatible with APPLE?

Thanks!

AIO Wallet is Windows only, but you can run the original wallet which is java based and will run pretty much anywhere

Instead of saying "no, but yes because Java", you should have said:

"yes because Java is universal. fuck Windows".

Has anyone else problems with the blockexplorer -> burstcoin.info

For example

https://block.burstcoin.info/acc.php?acc=BURST-HK9D-P74Q-XDEJ-D6PGM

Shows no information about the address.

Sorry about block ex issues, there's been no time lately, but I've asked Haitch to see if he's able to help me out on that, as I've been just buried in stuff to do both BURST and non related. We'll get it all back on track here ASAP.

Crow, it's the zillionth time we have to endure the same song:

- sorry
- no time
- H will take care of it

If you have the time to copy-paste the same apology, it means that you are on top of things, but from a tech-savvy POV, you can't do anything.

Might as well pass to H all the responsibility of the tech aspect, since there is a finite number of apologies that can be made in a trustworthy way - it has started to sound like
"I know it's foobared, but I can't do anything about it" a long time ago.

And that's really bad for the brand.

This article really does not go well with a smiley. It basically says:

- burst is cool, but if you are starting now, you are too late, as solo is pointless and even pool mining is probably not worth the effort;
- first user experience is not good;
- here is a link to Storj, which right now is better;

I personally do not agree with (most) of the article, but hey.... reading comprehension and a smiley surely don't go hand in hand on this one.

Still looking for more comments and suggestions, etc, on my pre-release asset draft papers...

An extremely well written document. Cheers!

I strongly encourage everyone to read it asap.

Loose? Put some glue on it.

At the moment, we have 3 items of SAMSUNG 3TB EVO SSDs at $525.

You mean 2TB. You should edit the post before someone starts asking you for 3TB SSDs at $525. Wink

It seems I came too late to burst. "The end is near!"

What are you guys planning to do with all the hard disks you mined in the past?

Fill them with movies, serials, warez and upload 24/7/365

Considering the age of someone who says something that childish, you mean cereals.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: September 02, 2015, 01:56:29 AM
Is it possible to chose here sia stores the files? As I have many HDDs, I do not want them on C:/.

He means "choose", "where", and yes, get ready for that, as many Burstcoin people with a bunch of HDDs are looking for alternatives, and one drive will not be a valid alternative.

No support for choosing multiple hdds yet. The folder that is used is whatever folder you run 'said' from. Until we add support for picking custom folders, you can create a logical volume that combines all of your physical drives into a single logical drive.

It's hard to estimate when various features will be ready. We're essentially doing things in order of necessity.  I think though that over the next 3 months we will be able to add most everything that people are requesting.

That makes sense.
And 3 months does sound like a sensible and fair estimate. Smiley
