Does it worth to compress the Burst plot drive or the file itself via build in Windows thing ? So we earn some more space and plot some more,  Is it possible ? Thanks to anyone answering. Smiley

I would really like to get into mining burst - I currently have 2TB.  Please could someone kindly advise the best miner and pool to point to?

many thanks

2TB is a good start when it comes to mining Burst coin and there are a couple of pools you could join that the minimum TB's is low. The links to the pools are below and I'll also post a link that has all the pools and there recommended TB's to join the pool and get deadlines.

http://burst.lexitoshi.uk/

http://pool.burstcoin.ml/

https://www.burstnation.com/wbb/index.php?thread/395-pool-list/

Good luck with mining.

So will the BURST price grow again?.. That is the main question for many of us...

I wish i could like this coin but I don't see it succeeding, its just pump and dump. The casino is the only thing tied to the coin that it is used for. I don't see anywhere where you can use burst for anything useful. In addition once the pump is done and the higher ups make their money it goes back down.

Its an interesting idea but who would use the shared HDD space, what data is stored, and what service is is allocating the drive space?

All these people are added TB to the network and plotting them , for what?

You're entitled to your oponion... but the HDD space is used to mine BURST... it's a very eco friendly, green, low resource concept compared to others.  Storage aspect may be something down the road.

There is an asset exchange you can invest and trade BURST for dividends.  And your comments about what the coin is used for... can be said about a lot of crypto.

BURST has essentially only had some significant marketing the last 2 - 3 months... and it was on a consistent rise before the latest jump.

There are devs that are highly invested in the coin, been dedicated and working for a long time now...all coins get pumped but what you're implying I don't find to be true with BURST.

If you look at the cost to buy HDD;s vs the reward, you will never get your money back, with the current float and reward rate mining is not a good option.
It is eco friendly I give it that, but without real world uses, its not going anywhere.

Really?  I got into BURST 6 months ago... bought, mine some, trade and receive dividends on the asset exchange ... as we sit here today I'm up nearly 20x on my investment.  Why do people only look short term and only look at today?

Regarding the other poster and the supply... there are currently 1.7 billion coins out, but it is hard capped at 2.1 billion.  There are top 10 crypto with more supply out there than BURST will ever have fyi.

i did the math on this with the recent price pump, and it's very short, if you account an hhd that cost $240 like the seagate of 8TB and give you 6k burst per month at the current value of 800 satoshi per burst, you have almost 0.05 btc in one month, which are $80 or so, this is a 3 month roi, electricity is not something that matter here so i excluded from my math, to me it look pretty good, what do you think?
Do you think calculating ROI with the pumped prices is a good idea? Cheesy I'd say something like 12-18 months is a lot more reasonable ROI prediction with Burst.

yes if you are not stupid to sell after the dump lol, i would not sell now i would hold until i can sell it at the value that give me the roi i was speaking about, and what about another pump? that would mean shorter roi

This is not true my friend as Burst has not been a pump and dump coin. Yes it did pump in recent days but it didn't get dumped back to where it started from at 250 sats and is holding strong at above 500 sats which is where I think might be the new floor for Burst. Burst is just getting started and the recent rise in price is just the start to bigger things to come.

Ugh, I really really hate seeing Adam being associated with Burst so much. I agree, that guy has issues and I certainly don't trust him. Besides, he's pretty new to Burst compared to some of us.

That said, I don't think Burst is just another pump and dump. I've been mining since nearly genesis block. It has had almost 0 real PR (until recently), and uses a wonderfully designed consensus algorithm. Not to mention an Asset Exchange native to the protocol, which is being used very heavily.

Try to ignore Adam and his childish nastiness (and assets), and Burst becomes a very wonderful project with lots of opportunity for profit. Hopefully more uses will come in the future besides AE. It certainly deserves the current market rate though, IMO.

Adam is one (loud) voice.  But he is not BURST.  He's a marketer, that's it.  He is fairly recent to the scene.  Many other great hardworking people involved with BURST for a long time.  Singling out Adam is doing a disservice to those people... the true backbone of BURST.

Thanks to whoever sent me the 3 coins. All good now.

Quick question re mining. I read above there are 1.7 billion coins in circulation but hard cap at hard cap at 2.1 billion.

Is it worth me getting into mining? How many coins per block currently and how long is it expected to take to get to the 2.1 billion cap?

I was toying with the idea of re-purposing some altcoins towards an 80tb mining rig. Will hardcap be reached and it be redundant by the time it's even finished writing all the plots?

Thanks,

It should reach cap at around Sep 2023 I believe.  Did some calculations some time back.

I deleted my post about people knocking Adam because I just logged into Burst Nation and saw a thread by Crowetic someone who I have high respect for and see as a trustful person. It seems that he was censored and kept his mouth shut for a while now and has now come out which I have respect for. Yes Adam has done great things for the Burst community and I respect him for that so I just wish this community can get back to being a united Burst community because right now it is torn and is sad to see.

Just saw the recent news about the Crowetic-Adam split-up and I have a few words to say about this as well. I'm glad that Crowetic made this decision as Adam is a filthy scammer, manipulator and profiteer. I have some friends that are veterans in the crypto world that did warned me about this person, but I put my trust in Crowetic that he know what he is doing.. Apparently Adam managed somehow to take over the burst community and put crow under the shadows but anyway now I'm happy that the community is getting back on the right track.

I still have all my trust in Crowetic as he is a great leader and developer and I'm sure BURST will thrive again! As far as I'm concerned I am continuously building my asset and paying regular dividends to my shareholders. As I stated in the days I launched BurstOcean,I want my asset to become a foundation stone of the burst community.

I was wondered what caused of price dropped constantly after successful spiked in the market. Just now came in thread to catch up some updates and now found out the real reason behind. Community is not looking good Adam's part and have huge reservations about that guy due to his dubious and disputed character. Burst will take off once again after we find out our direction clear soon.
