Thank you for signing up a new account just to write the above reply.
Feel free to provide me the materials that indicate you do/did have a BaseFEX account. Any other records such as BTC address or nickname, if any, will also help.
There was indeed a support request, which I recall was from an East European surname, a while back that requests us to find an account of his friend whose account is assumedly blocked.
1. I looked into this myself, and no records found. I got back to the inquirer and he insists that's the email address.
2. I requested our data analyst to give a dive. Nothing associated with that email address found.
3. Then I requested a more deeper search with the engineering team looked into the database. Still nothing. No signup record, no transaction record, no block record. Nothing.
So overall I find 0 records associated with that email address whatsoever - I can provide screenshots of our backstage searching such email returning no results if anyone is interested. I told the inquirer and he insists there was an account and says we must have lost it and asked for compensation. I don't know what to do then.
Technically, and I am NOT saying the inquirer and his friend are doing this, anyone in the world can make this kind of accusation against any financial institution, insisting there was an account that may or may not ever exist.
Again, kindly provide me anything associated with your said BaseFEX account and we will look into it asap.
Hi, sorry to jump in on this but I have to try and take this opportunity when I see someone from baseFEX interacting with people after ignoring me since 22/07.
After seeing baseFEX automatically blocking people on twitter and telegram as soon as the word scam is mentioned I decided to try the more civil way of communicating with them and sent them direct messages on Twitter. Their responses were polite and prompt and when I explained I had been locked out of my account they advised they would look into it. Messages back and forth were ok and I explained I had a significant amount of bitcoin in this account.
Someone from BaseFEX very honestly admitted the fault lay with them as they did two upgrades the previous week and that they would work on finding the account. This message from them was sent on 13/07 and I replied for an update on 22/07 and have heard nothing back despite 4 messages to them. All this time they have regularly tweeted and even held a free bitcoin giveaway competition.
Of course I would naturally assume this company was a scam however I had been trading with them for quite some time without issue until now. The fact that they continue to trade, take people’s money and are clearly trying to grow as a company is sickening knowing that they have stolen or are withholding my money. I have several screenshot that I can provide.
Will you at least have the decency to respond to this?
Technically you couldn't provide legitimate screenshot evidence of your backstage searching as its not verifiable by a third party. If you've lost accounts due to system upgrades, members need to be compensated. Its not too late to accept this mistake from your company and move on towards a more open and transparent business model. The longer you leave it the more shady you become and its printed here on the interrnet for all to see. Issues arise and problems can be fixed in time if dealt with properly and honestly. Its not going to go away by denying anything ever happened/saying it was someone else's fault or declaring malicious activity. The worst thing is thinking I or others will believe its OUR mistake that we've lost BTC because you've provided fake screenshots as evidence and posted shady photos with blurry faces in a random office picture.
