Can anyone that is mining on Vericoinpool report how long it took to get their first payout, especially those who started mining there in the last day or two?  I'm also interested in what kind of payout sizes people are getting per MH/s at the moment...

Don't have anything specific but it does seem to take a fair while to start, I stopped after a few hours of mining with no transactions coming through as I assumed something was broken, woke up the next day and multiple transactions had arrived.

I get about 3MH/s:

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Stolen bitcoins? on: April 15, 2013, 10:08:09 AM
Can someone help me figure out how this happened?

I purchased 8 bitcoins today and had them sent to my bitcoin-qt wallet, I got an email saying they have been sent so open it up and see they have arrived but are unconfirmed, so I come back an hour or so later to find that they have already been sent from my address to another address that I do not own (afaik, unless I am missing something here) and my balance is now at 0 bitcoins.

How the hell does this happen? I expect there is no way to recover those coins now? It's at 3/6 confirmations now for this new address... Am I screwed? I'm pretty careful about downloading anything that could be malware or clicking links etc so I have no idea how this happened? Is there anything I can do now?

think logically, why would you sell your avalon rig for $20,000 if you could make $20,000 with it?

derp.

With difficulty constantly increasing it's going to take longer and longer to make a ROI. I certainly wouldn't be buying now with all the delays and backlog those ordering today probably won't see their machines until the end of the year.

Hi, I'm David. I started mining a couple of years ago when I first heard of bitcoin, lost interest and stopped. Starting following it again a few months ago with all the recent news and value going up. Interesting times.

I'm ok with these rules but as an infrequent poster on any forum I have a hard time coming up with 5 posts that aren't just posts for the sake of posts.  Much like this one.  But at least I got to express an opinion.

Exactly, I've been here a long time (2 years) but mainly lurk, went to make a post a discovered I need to have 5 here already :/

I'm using paper wallets created through blockchain.info, can someone explain the extra security in generating logging in via offline mode and disconnecting internet before generating the address? If someone managed to gain access to my account wouldn't it still be pointless without my private key?
